Smoked a good batch of spicy venison jerky today, used chile arbol instead of cayenne pepper this time. Great way to relax on Fathers Day. Cheers!!

Did a 20 hour marinade and did mesquite log rolling smoke for about 4 hours. Truly delicious!!

Ever tried venison or elk pastrami?

If not I've got a good recipe for you...

I harvest and process all of our meat where I live and love trading recipes.

I've got a smoker, a Daniel Boone Green Mountain Grill.

Will have to try that.

Will post on my next brisket!

Ooo I have not! But would love to try it, looking for creative ways to use up my venison before bow season starts again!

Nice, thank you! Took screenshots, I think this is my next weekend plan, 7 days in the fridge will give me something to look forward to!

No problem!

I have family members that don't like the taste of venison.

I've tried to disown them, but... ~sigh~

But once I made some venison summer sausage and some pastrami and asked them which one WASN'T venison.

They picked the pastrami every time.
