Will you take the vaccine ?
Posted by: PLOTUS - 12-03-2020, 06:01 PM - Forum: Genetically Modified Organisms - Replies (83)

It seems just around the corner.
Whereas most testing is in the range of four years, Covid-19's urgency has caused a rush to find a vaccine due to the lethal nature. Media is having a grand old time with their news bites. When and if (were presuming it will be forthcoming) it arrives, will you take take it ?

Of course the logical answer might be to 'wait and see' after the first group is administered. Yes it would be prudent to see if there are side-effects, everyone would likely have that run through their minds. And if all checks out, get inoculated themselves. I guess I fall into that group.

https://www.jhsph.edu/covid-19/

This year I had the Flu shot and last the Pneumonia shot. Generally we mostly know the flu shot is hit and miss, concentrating on the strain most likely to infect the population. And as a gamble and expert advise go forward, we come up with a recipe for the vaccine.

  Your Favorite Actors and Actresses.
Posted by: PLOTUS - 12-02-2020, 07:04 PM - Forum: Movies and TV Shows - Replies (5)

This might surprise some..? We all have our favorite actors that we have followed and eagerly watched their work. Just who do you like or adore?

It seems everyone has some one they gravitate towards, some wizard of fantasy, someone who takes them out of the everyday into a nice reprieve of make believe and imagination.

For woman, I suppose it would have to be Kristin.

Another that has enchanted me since I was a child, or forever is Lauren Bacall, followed of course with often time co-star Humphrey Bogart

There are certainly actors and actresses that might eclipse these favorites of mine, but they are few.
It is a life few could handle, fame and sporadic fortune.. but fortunately unlike actors from Greek and later Roman times, these will be immortal.

Who are your Favorites ?  Movie and Theatre ?

All time favorite for me....... Peter Lorre.......

I Think Our Hawk Has Lost Its Mate
Posted by: NightskyeB4Dawn - 11-30-2020, 10:41 PM - Forum: Animal House - Replies (23)

I noticed her flying back and forth across the homestead, early this morning, screeching, agitated. I don't normally see them so early in the morning, but they hang close, and they always hang with me when I mow, hoping I will send a mouse, snake, or mole, their way.

I had business away from home so I was gone the whole day. As soon as I started up the drive, I saw her. Still flying to and fro, agitated and screeching.

I haven't seen him, so I am praying that she has not lost her mate.

The Welsh & The Virus In The Valleys.
Posted by: BIAD - 11-30-2020, 10:24 PM - Forum: Europe - Replies (13)

First the Welsh devolved Government promised its people that their Covid rules would safeguard
them from the virus. Then they locked down the nation and called a 'firebreak', to last from 23rd
October until the 9th November. Assurances were given that this control was necessary and should
do the trick.

Of course, power and control doesn't work with ceding to given-promises.
Apparently the Covid flu lives in booze now.

Quote:Covid: Alcohol ban for Welsh pubs and restaurants from Friday.

'Welsh pubs, restaurants and cafes will be banned from serving alcohol from Friday and will be
unable to open to customers beyond 18:00 GMT. First Minister Mark Drakeford announced the
new rules to tackle a rise in coronavirus cases.

Business groups said the move would devastate Wales' hospitality industry, with closures "guaranteed".
Indoor entertainment and visitor attractions, including cinemas, museums and galleries, will also have to shut.
Businesses can offer a takeaway service after 18:00, and if they have an off-licence can sell takeaway alcohol
up until 22:00.

The Conservative leader in the Senedd, Paul Davies, said the national approach from the Welsh Government
was unfair on areas with low Covid rates. Plaid Cymru said hospitality was "paying the price" for a lack of stricter
measures after the firebreak lockdown ended on 9 November.
Mr Drakeford said without changes there could be between 1,000 and 1,700 preventable deaths over the winter.

The first minister said firms hit by the restrictions would be offered £340m in support which he claimed was
"the most generous package of financial assistance anywhere in the UK".

Mr Drakeford told a press conference: "I know these new restrictions will be difficult, coming as they do at the
one of the busiest times of the year for the sector. "Unfortunately, we continue to face a virus which is moving
incredibly quickly across Wales and a virus that will exploit every opportunity when we spend time with one another."

The case rate has risen from 187 per 100,000 people over seven days on Friday, to 210 cases per 100,000
people, Mr Drakeford added. The restrictions come into effect at 18:00 on Friday, and are similar to the restrictions
on hospitality within level three areas in Scotland.

However the rule allowing four people from four different households to meet indoors in pubs and restaurants will
stay in place.

The decision will be reviewed on 17 December.
Bingo halls, bowling alleys, soft play centres, casinos, skating rinks and amusement arcades will also have to close.
Meanwhile current restrictions on travel into England, implemented while a lockdown is in place over the border, are
being reviewed.
The first minister said he would make a further announcement later this week...'

This solar cycle looks like it is going to be a big one
Posted by: 727Sky - 11-30-2020, 01:01 PM - Forum: General News and Events - Replies (4)

In spite of what some have theorized it is beginning to look (to me anyway) that this solar cycle is going to be a bugger ! With earth's measured weakened magnetic protectorate field it ain't gonna take much to turn the lights off if we are hit with an X something solar flare. This time of year or anytime of year it could be problematic if the rumors of lights out for an extended period of time are true. Maybe the government sponsored articles telling everyone to have emergency supplies has a bit of stronger reasoning that just bad weather ?

Earth just got 2,000 light-years closer to Milky Way's supermassive black hole
Posted by: 727Sky - 11-28-2020, 01:28 PM - Forum: General News and Events - No Replies

This all may change as our instrumentation gets better but for now this is a good as it gets. 2000 light years is quite a jump IMO unless you live in a Star Wars universe.

Earth is a little closer to the supermassive black hole at the center of the Milky Way than we believed.
NAOJ
At the center of the our galaxy there's a supermassive black hole called Sagittarius A*. It has a mass roughly 4 million times that of our sun.
Great news! It turns out scientists have discovered that we're 2,000 light-years closer to Sagittarius A* than we thought.
This doesn't mean we're currently on a collision course with a black hole. No, it's simply the result of a more accurate model of the Milky Way based on new data.

Over the last 15 years, a Japanese radio astronomy project, VERA, has been gathering data. Using a technique called interferometry, VERA gathered data from telescopes across Japan and combined them with data from other existing projects to create what is essentially the most accurate map of the Milky Way yet.
By pinpointing the location and velocity of around 99 specific points in our galaxy, VERA has concluded that the supermassive black hole Sagittarius A, at the center of our galaxy, is actually 25,800 light-years from Earth -- almost 2,000 light-years closer than what we previously believed.
In addition, the new model calculates Earth is moving faster than we believed. Older models clocked Earth's speed at 220 kilometers (136 miles) per second, orbiting around the galaxy's centre. VERA's new model has us moving at 227 kilometers (141 miles) per second.
Not bad!
VERA is now hoping to increase the accuracy of its model by increasing the amount of points it's gathering data from by expanding into EAVN (East Asian VLBI Network) and gathering data from a larger suite of radio telescopes located throughout Japan, Korea and China.

COVID little or no effect on total deaths year after year
Posted by: 727Sky - 11-28-2020, 10:12 AM - Forum: General News and Events - Replies (4)

I have been wondering when someone of "note worthy reputation" would actually sit down and compare the number of deaths over the last few years. Deaths before COVID and then deaths after covid. My suspicion went up after Flu deaths seemed to disappear and the way hospitals are paid to declare a COVID-19 infection..

I do find the numbers kinda surprising after certain government idiots sent known sick people to nursing homes even if it was just the Flu that ended up killing so many of the old and infirm.

Quote:
Quote:Genevieve Briand, assistant program director of the Applied Economics master’s degree program at Johns Hopkins University, critically analyzed the impact that COVID-19 had on U.S. deaths. According to her, the impact of COVID-19 on deaths in the United States can be fully understood by comparing it to the number of total deaths in the country.
According to study, “in contrast to most people’s assumptions, the number of deaths by COVID-19 is not alarming. In fact, it has relatively no effect on deaths in the United States.”
The report says:
After retrieving data on the CDC website, Briand compiled a graph representing percentages of total deaths per age category from early February to early September, which includes the period from before COVID-19 was detected in the U.S. to after infection rates soared.
Surprisingly, the deaths of older people stayed the same before and after COVID-19. Since COVID-19 mainly affects the elderly, experts expected an increase in the percentage of deaths in older age groups. However, this increase is not seen from the CDC data. In fact, the percentages of deaths among all age groups remain relatively the same…

Dying swans were found circling and bleeding from their nostrils on Ulverston canal, Cumbria, in the northwest of England.
The wave of swan deaths is suspected to be caused by a dangerous new strain of avian influenza that has spread across the UK.
Rescuers have removed over 25 dying birds from Worcestershire, while nine swans were found dead at Stanley Park in Blackpool, according to the Evening Standard.
Quote:"Many of them started to spin on their axis in one direction. It was terrible to see. Some of them were discharging from their nostrils and some of it was bloody," Caroline Sim from local swan rescue operation Flying Free said, as quoted by the the Guardian.
Studies have confirmed that swans killed in Dawlish, Devon had contracted the latest H5N8 strain of bird flu.
Introduced by wild birds migrating across Europe, this strain last caused massive bird deaths in the winter of 2016-2017. The health risk to humans from the virus is very low, according to the UK Department of Health.

  U.S. Election Fraud 2020

I started this thread to post any topics that come up on the voting fraud cases so the posts don't get intermingled in other threads.
I like to be organized that way.   tinybiggrin

We've heard lots of alleged conspiracies, but what about the actual evidence that can be shown?

Let's start with this video from Right Side Broadcasting Network (RSBN). They were the only news crew that covered the hearing. Can you believe that? The most important news yet, and they were the only ones there!
This alone should tell you how the MSM is trying to keep the truth from you.

I'd advise everyone to download this video, because it is already being censored on social media. It's worth the 3 hours to watch every minute of it. If you're in a hurry, skip over to where the witnesses start to testify at the 34:50 mark.
