Cubas Fidel Castro Dead

I used to think that the Embargo was what led him to hold on for so long. A system of government that was collapsing around the world under its own weight was NOT being highlighted in Cuba. In Cuba, it was the big bad Yankees to the north that caused their hardship. With no embargo (I thought) Castro would have fallen under that weight without anybody else to blame it on. 

I know there's more to it than that, but that's my $.02

Long live the King! That seems to be the sentiment highlighted in the news today (as many of you have already pointed out). It's surreal...
