'Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) files obtained by Judicial Watch reveal that the dad, maternal grandpa
and father-in-law of President Obama’s trusted senior advisor, Valerie Jarrett, were hardcore Communists
under investigation by the U.S. government.

Jarrett’s dad, pathologist and geneticist Dr. James Bowman, had extensive ties to Communist associations
and individuals, his lengthy FBI file shows. In 1950 Bowman was in communication with a paid Soviet agent
named Alfred Stern, who fled to Prague after getting charged with espionage.

Bowman was also a member of a Communist-sympathizing group called the Association of Internes and
Medical Students. After his discharge from the Army Medical Corps in 1955, Bowman moved to Iran to work,
the FBI records show.

According to Bowman’s government file the Association of Internes and Medical Students is an organization
that “has long been a faithful follower of the Communist Party line” and engages in un-American activities.

Bowman was born in Washington D.C. and had deep ties to Chicago, where he often collaborated with fellow
Communists. JW also obtained documents on Bowman from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management
(OPM) showing that the FBI was brought into investigate him for his membership in a group that “follows the
communist party line.”

The Jarrett family Communist ties also include a business partnership between Jarrett’s maternal grandpa,
Robert Rochon Taylor, and Stern, the Soviet agent associated with her dad.

Jarrett’s father-in-law, Vernon Jarrett, was also another big-time Chicago Communist, according to separate
FBI files obtained by JW as part of a probe into the Jarrett family’s Communist ties.

For a period of time Vernon Jarrett appeared on the FBI’s Security Index and was considered a potential
Communist saboteur who was to be arrested in the event of a conflict with the Union of Soviet Socialist
Republics (USSR).
His FBI file reveals that he was assigned to write propaganda for a Communist Party front group in Chicago
that would “disseminate the Communist Party line among…the middle class.”

It’s been well documented that Valerie Jarrett, a Chicago lawyer and longtime Obama confidant, is a liberal
extremist who wields tremendous power in the White House. Faithful to her roots, she still has connections
to many Communist and extremist groups, including the Muslim Brotherhood.

Jarrett and her family also had strong ties to Frank Marshal Davis, a big Obama mentor and Communist
Party member with an extensive FBI file.

JW has exposed Valerie Jarrett’s many transgressions over the years, including her role in covering up a
scandalous gun-running operation carried out by the Department of Justice (DOJ).

Last fall JW obtained public records that show Jarrett was a key player in the effort to cover up that Attorney
General Eric Holder lied to Congress about the Fast and Furious, a disastrous experiment in which the
Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (ATF) allowed guns from the U.S. to be smuggled
into Mexico so they could eventually be traced to drug cartels.

Instead, federal law enforcement officers lost track of hundreds of weapons which have been used in an
unknown number of crimes, including the murder of a U.S. Border Patrol agent in Arizona.

In 2008 JW got documents linking Valerie Jarrett, who also served as co-chairman of Obama’s presidential
transition team, to a series of real estate scandals, including several housing projects operated by convicted
felon and Obama fundraiser/friend Antoin “Tony” Rezko.

According to the documents obtained from the Illinois Secretary of State, Valerie Jarrett served as a board
member for several organizations that provided funding and support for Chicago slum projects operated by
Rezko...'

Yesterday, here in Scotland we hosted a "Coffee and Cakes in the Forest" Event to raise funds for MacMillan Cancer Support.
The Sun shone brightly all day, and everyone had a fantastic time drinking coffee, eating cakes, trying out the hammocks, forest obstacle course, tightrope, and tree swing. There was craft-making, toasting marshmallows on the camp-fire and live music (from yours truly)too.

The amazing sum of £400 was raised for a great cause too!

'A flurry of suspicious envelopes targeting high-profile figures -including President Trump, Secretary
of Defense James Mattis and Sen. Ted Cruz -were received in the past two days.

The Secret Service said in a Tuesday evening statement that it intercepted a "suspicious envelope"
addressed to the president. The mail was intercepted at a location outside of the White House.
The Secret Service provided no other details about the envelope.



"We can confirm that we are working jointly with our law enforcement partners to fully investigate this
matter," it said in a statement. "Further, all threats directed towards the President, or any Secret Service
protectee, are treated seriously and fully investigated."

Earlier Tuesday, two people were hospitalized in Houston after a "white powdery substance" was found
in a letter addressed to the campaign headquarters of Texas Sen. Ted Cruz in Houston, law-enforcement
sources said.
The condition of the victims was not clear.

The Republican senator's spokeswoman, Catherine Frazier, said no Cruz staffers were taken to the hospital.
Frazier added that the package was opened in the lobby, resulting in a temporary lockdown.
The Houston Fire Department said in a tweet that the ninth floor of the Phoenix Tower was evacuated as a
hazmat team worked to determine the nature of the substance.

The Houston scare came to light hours after NBC News reported that two suspicious envelopes containing
the deadly toxin ricin were mailed to a Department of Defense mail processing center.

The envelopes were addressed to Mattis and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. John Richardson, a source
familiar with the incident told NBC News.
There were no indications anyone had been exposed to the suspicious substance, the source said.

The mail facility is on the Pentagon campus but not within the main building itself, said Pentagon spokesman
Christopher Sherwood. Law enforcement officials said all four letters, including the two sent to the Pentagon,
appear to have come from the same person.

Col. Rob Manning, a Pentagon spokesperson, said in a statement that on Monday the Pentagon Force Protection
Agency "detected a suspicious substance during mail screening at the Pentagon's remote screening facility."
"The envelopes were taken by the FBI this morning for further analysis," he said.
All United States Postal Service mail received at the facility Monday is currently under quarantine, he added.

A federal official said the ricin indication was based on a field test, and those are often unreliable.
At this point, the official said, concern about these envelopes is low.

The Department of Defense facility processes roughly 500,000 pieces of mail each year, a defense official said.
The mail is screened by employees who wear white protective suits.
Once the mail is screened, a sample from each parcel is then taken to a lab for further testing.
Each piece of mail that is deemed "normal" is typically released within 24 hours.
Any mail deemed suspicious is quarantined in another room, the official said.

Ricin, a lethal poison produced naturally in castor beans, has no known antidote and cannot be quickly detected.
A dose the size of a grain of salt can be fatal if inhaled, injected or ingested.

In May 2013, ricin-laced letters were sent to then-President Barack Obama and then-New York Mayor Michael
Bloomberg. No one was seriously hurt in the incidents.
Shannon Guess Richardson, a former actress from Texas, pleaded guilty to the crime.

Prosecutors said Richardson, 35, who had minor roles in the TV series "The Walking Dead" and the movie
"The Blind Side," sent the letters in a bid to set up her estranged husband...'

PREDATOR: Trans woman Jacinta Brooks has been jailed for trying to groom the girl.

Brooks previously served almost 13 years for having sex with a child under the age of 16 and was
only released from jail two years ago. She also abused another child.

A victim’s impact statement from the mum of the latest victim described Brooks as a “pathetic excuse
of a person”, adding the family had been forced to move out of the area because of the trauma.
She said: “The fact I cannot protect my daughter from this pathetic excuse of a person will haunt me forever.”

Jailing Brooks for 11 years at Southampton Crown Court, Judge Nicholas Rowland described her as
a “danger to children”. Prosecutor Berenice Mulvanny told the court that Brooks’ latest offending only
came to light when police were investigating another sexual assault allegation.

They then uncovered messages Brooks had sent to the young victim, as well as hundreds of indecent
images of children. The offences took place between January 1 and January 31 this year.

The court heard Brooks repeatedly gave “no comment” answers in her police interview but admitted she
“couldn’t argue” that she is attracted to children. Defending Brooks, lawyer Robert Harding claimed his
client had struggled adapting to changes in social media after her initial stint behind bars.

Miss Mulvanny said: “Brooks knew the girl was underage but sent her sexual messages. The defendant
originally pretended to be a 14-year-old boy but soon admitted her real age.”
Brooks, of Winchester, in Hampshire, admitted three counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity
and three of possessing indecent images of children...'

Sigh. It's really bad when the people who are supposed to be going out to find these perverts turn out to BE the pervert(s).  Who can we trust? Have all government arms turned corrupt?

I say it's time to get rid of all of them and start over with short term limits for everyone.  Too much power for too long leads to corruption.

Wilson worked computer crimes for the FBI in New York City. He may have known too much or was ready to trade some of that knowledge for a sweet plea deal.
Wilson was facing two counts of child rape with force, and six counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 years old.
There are two victims in this case, and the attacks allegedly occurred in Grafton, Massachusetts. The alleged attacks dated back to 1998 and continued to 2006.

Court records indicate at the time of his arrest, Jeffrey Wilson was employed by the New York Office of the FBI working computer investigations.
The New York FBI confirmed at the time of his death, Wilson was no longer working for them, but court records indicate, when the FBI was informed of the indictments against Wilson, the federal agency conducted its own investigation.
But Wilson had worked out a very favorable plea deal in Massachusetts, Wilson would get a sentence of 18 months in the House of Correction plus probation, but he would not get a lengthy prison sentence.
That deal had some brass in the FBI concerned, a source said.

“When you see a deal like that the first thing that comes to mind is what is he (Wilson) is giving the prosecutors in return,” one FBI source said.
Instead, Wilson was found dead in Queens, New York over the weekend. It is believed, rather than plead guilty in Worcester on Monday, Wilson killed himself Saturday night.
Another hotel room “suicide.”

Wilson’s attorney saud he was surprised Wilson would have killed himself, given the favorable plea deal and Wilson’s recent mood.
Why would you go to the trouble to work out a plea deal if you were going to kill yourself?
Wilson was due in court Monday. Now the case is closed.

While unquestionably significant, Verizon’s 5G launch in the United States comes with several qualifiers — including whether it’s truly the first, is actually 5G, and is legitimately as widespread as it initially sounds. As we’ve previously reported, smaller carriers rushed to launch the “world’s first 5G networks” in Qatar, Lesotho, Finland, and Estonia over the summer, and ahead of the U.S. Like Verizon, they are generally using pre-standards 5G networking gear and offering service in limited areas, sometimes without consumer hardware.

Verizon’s offering is an end-to-end 5G solution, including the necessary wireless hardware to deliver next-generation wireless speeds to home broadband users. The carrier is promising typical 300Mbps and peak 1Gbps connection speeds to customers, using Inseego broadband equipment that’s included in the $50 to $70 monthly service price. It also includes three months of free YouTube TV, as well as the customer’s choice of a free Apple TV 4K or Google Chromecast Ultra.

If the competitive pricing isn’t appealing enough, Verizon is offering its service free for the first three months and promising “First on 5G” customers early access to upcoming services, such as mobile 5G. Rival AT&T is launching a mobile 5G service in 12 cities this year, using wireless hotspot “pucks” to provide mobility, rather than new 5G smartphones or tablets.

Verizon’s main caveats are that it’s only launching 5G in “parts of” its four initial cities right now, and it is using “5G TF” equipment that will need to be updated to 3GPP standards-compliant 5G in the future. Based on prior personal experience with FIOS buildouts, Verizon might take years to extend its broadband services as promised or stop short of covering a full city. It’s also unclear when and how mobile 5G devices such as smartphones will be usable on the Verizon 5G network.

The carrier says it chose Houston, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, and Sacramento for early 5G service because of forward-looking state and local leaders in those areas. It is apparently waiting until 3GPP-compliant 5G hardware is available to expand its 5G offerings to other cities.

“As our 5G technology partners bring … hardware, software, chipsets, and devices to market on the 3GPP 5G NR standard,” the company says, “we’ll upgrade First On 5G members to that equipment at no charge. When new network equipment is available and introduced, we’ll expand our 5G broadband internet coverage area quickly and bring 5G to additional cities.”

Customers interested in Verizon 5G Home service can check if service is available in their neighborhoods via the company’s FirstOn5G.com website. The company began taking service preorder requests on September 13.
