  British Humour

British humour!!

The train was quite crowded, and a U.S. marine walked the entire length looking for a seat, but the only seat left was taken by a well dressed, middle-aged, French woman's poodle.

The war-weary Marine asked, 'Ma'am, may I have that seat?'

The French woman just sniffed and said to no one in particular 'Americans are so rude. My little Fifi is using that seat.'

The Marine walked the entire train again, but the only seat left was under that dog.

'Please, ma'am. May I sit down? I'm very tired..'

She snorted, 'Not only are you Americans rude, you are also arrogant!'

This time the Marine didn't say a word; he just picked up the little dog, tossed it out the train window, and sat down.

The woman shrieked, 'Someone must defend my honour! This American should be put in his place!'

An English gentleman sitting nearby spoke up, 'Sir, you Americans seem to have a penchant for doing the wrong thing.

You hold the fork in the wrong hand.

You drive your cars on the wrong side of the road.

And now, sir, you seem to have thrown the wrong bitch out the window'.

Great APP if you like messing with pictures
Posted by: senona - 01-29-2019, 06:15 AM - Forum: Daily Chit Chat - Replies (3)

One of my co-workers got me hooked on something, to which it has spread to their sister apps on my phone.

It started out with just downloading the app for FREE PRINTS. If you don't know what that is, after you download the app, you can pick off your phone, pictures that you want to be made into prints.

Quote:WHAT DO I GET FOR FREE?
  • Up to 85 free 4x6 prints per month
  • Limit 1 free print per photo
  • Up to 1,000 4x6 free prints per year

WHAT DO I PAY FOR?
  • Additional 4x6 prints
  • Other sizes — 5x5, 5x7, 8x10,
    11x14, 12x18, 16x20, 20x30

  • FreePrints Shipping & handling — starts at $1.99, never more than $9.99, no matter how many prints you order'

So yeah, for just $1.99 S&H, I thought why not.
The only thing for me, I had to use a magnifying glass so I could  'see'  the pictures.  minusculerolleyes

I picked out my freebies, sent in my order expecting some kind of catch.
NOPE. No catch.
It was only the $1.99 SH fee as stated.

It did not take long, and I got my free prints. And let me tell you, they look just as good as when we used to take them to get the film developed. So yup, I ordered more.

Well next think you know, I receive an email for the link to their sister app PHOTOBOOKS

And what that is, you pick out pictures off your phone (many options for viewing/uploading images) that you would like in a photobook.

Quote:Here’s how it works

  • Get one free 5x7 standard softcover photo book every month.

  • Optional premium hardcover in 6x8 and 8.5x11.5 books are also available.

  • Start out with 20 pages. Add more pages for a small
    additional charge.

  • Pay only a small shipping charge - always the same,
no matter how many books you order.

  • There are no subscriptions or commitments.
Create a photo book whenever you like.

  • We guarantee 100% satisfaction or your money back!

Okay, this definitely had me intrigued.   :smallwink:
So I had to see what exactly it was.

Therefore I used our dog Buddy as the guinea pig.

Sure enough, it lets you set the cover design/layout.
The pages have different colors/themes you can choose from.

For this guy, I just went with basic white pages.
And I picked the cover for "The Adventures Begin" with his silly azz looking backwards at me.
(what he does when he is in Jim's chair and he is trying to get my attention. Followed by growls and grunts)

     *FRONT COVER*                                               *PAGES*                                                          *BACK COVER*

[Image: 20190128-202132.jpg]                        [Image: 20190128-202149.jpg]                                [Image: 20190128-213344.jpg]

Since I was impressed, I went ahead and did a serious photobook for us 4 siblings.

I kept it as a soft book (they do offer hard back) and kinda fudged past my free 20 pages to 32 pages (I could have kept on).
Picked more of a grey stone page background
And went with a cool design I uploaded from phone for the cover and back.
Surprisingly, it was only $6 and some change plus S&H.

I used the free book for Dec, gave that one to my sister. And when I saw her reaction (she friggin loved it) , I went ahead and ordered another one (You have the option to reorder as it or edit).

I just left it as it was and hit reorder (still have 2 more to get)

But then, I get another email from another one of their sister apps.
This one was from PHOTO TILES

Quote:Turn your photos into 8x8 wall art that are ready to stick without hammering any nails.

Being as we live in a 5th wheel travel trailer, we have little to no wall space to hang stuff. Like no collage type picture frames.

Soooooooooo.......Yup, I experimented with these guys.  minusculebiggrin
I got one tile free (S&H) but added another one.

They are a tad larger than I anticipated, but it's kinda cool to be honest.
(I simply propped them on top of our slide out overhang)

  [Image: 50754294_617425755383325_363117883768281...e=5CF0929C]

The ones I ordered are the plastic ones. Very heavy duty.
No thicker than a DVD case. (do believe they offer glass tiles)

Like I said, this was just a test to see the quality and if it would be something we would like.

And well, once again, I'm impressed.
So will be ordering more for sure.

Seriously tho, for anyone interested in this kind of thing, it is good quality stuff for reasonable prices.

It has been tried and tested by yours truly.

Why no money for the wall all of a sudden ?
Posted by: 727Sky - 01-28-2019, 07:26 AM - Forum: History of the Americas - Replies (2)

Ever wonder why the democraps are now against securing the southern border ?
Mexican Cartels Paid Off Mexican President with $100 Million – Former Democrat Claims Democrat Party Being Paid Millions by Cartels As Well!

Quote:The Democrats aggressively block the President’s desire to protect Americans and build a border wall on the southern border with Mexico.  Democrat attempts to block the wall in spite of significant evidence that it is needed indicate there is an unknown reason for their defiance.
In May of 2016, US Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi visited the President of Mexico along with other Congressmen, including little known Texas Congressman Beto O’Rourke.  Pelosi stated about the meetings –
Quote:Discussing the delegation’s meetings in Mexico City, Pelosi said [emphasis added]:
“We come here as a bipartisan and large delegation to express our respect for the people of Mexico and the country of Mexico; to acknowledge our shared border and our shared values and to learn more about how we can work together for the bright future for not only our two countries but for our hemisphere.”
Pelosi said the delegation had a busy time in Mexico City.
“When we arrived, we had our country team briefings; we had the privilege – some of us – of going to mass in the cathedral and hearing the sermon on Labor Day on the importance of workers in Mexico, a view we shared. We’ve met with members of the American Chamber of Commerce. We had the privilege of hearing from members of the civil society here in Mexico. We had a very beneficial meeting with Director General Zapata on the subject of the economy and on the subject of TPP especially. And then we had a glorious meeting, a really very thorough exchange of subjects and views – again about our shared values and our shared border – with the President [of Mexico]. Just now we finished a lunch, as you know, with Members of the Federal Deputies – Mexican Federal Deputies – and Senators. And this evening we will have a dinner meeting with the Foreign Minister,” Pelosi said.
Who knows what the discussions all entailed but since this date, the Mexican President has been aligned with Mexican cartels.  As reported earlier this month he’s accused of taking millions from the cartels –
[Image: web.png]
[Image: image?cs_email=%7B%7BGUID%7D%7D&cs_strip...rinbox_web]
Quote:Former Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto accepted a $100m (£77m) bribe from drug cartel kingpin Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán, a witness has testified.
Alex Cifuentes, who says he was a close associate of Guzmán for years, told a New York City courtroom that he had told authorities of the bribe in 2016.
Guzmán is accused of being behind the Sinaloa drug cartel, which prosecutors say was the largest US drug supplier.
Mr Peña Nieto served as the president of Mexico from 2012 to 2018.
Guzmán, 61, has been on trial in Brooklyn since November after he was extradited from Mexico to face charges of trafficking cocaine, heroin and other drugs as leader of what the US has called the world’s largest drug cartel.
The timing of the former Mexican President being connected with Mexican cartels is rather significant.  A former Democrat believes the real reason Democrats don’t want a wall on the US – Mexican border is related to the story above.
VOTE NOW: Should Trump cut foreign aid to countries who send migrants?
Jeffrey Peterson says the real reason the Democrats will never support the border wall – is that they are being paid off by the Mexican cartels.
Quote:With as much influence running up in to their system now in the form of direct and indirect #Mexican billions, Patriots might start to understand the #TRUTH about why these two are feeling so much pressure recently. pic.twitter.com/VcOWXTMKjq
— Jeffrey Peterson?? (@realJeffreyP) January 24, 2019

US Speaker Pelosi claims President Trump is in bed with the Russians despite all evidence to the contrary.  However, it does appear that there is more evidence of Pelosi being in bed with Mexican cartels.  Perhaps this is why she adamantly doesn’t want a wall.

Quote:She should be more concerned about what President @realDonaldTrump has on HER.
Pelosi Accuses Trump of Being Blackmailed by Putin https://t.co/LXoqzssTEb via @gatewaypundit
— Lisa Mei Crowley (@LisaMei62) January 27, 2019

Let’s hope that if it is in fact true, that we find the truth behind the Mexican cartel – Democrat connection sooner rather than later!

Music Is Sadder Today Than Bygone Times.
Posted by: BIAD - 01-27-2019, 12:24 PM - Forum: Daily Chit Chat - Replies (2)

Has the world become more miserable and what's caused it?
The guilt of self-indulgence, the need to feel that 'heroic' lyrics are somehow more virtuous or a pretence
that a wealthy carefree lifestyle has its own burdens?

Maybe the article is just another fluff-piece that condescends to an older reader or could it actually be
that the joy of just being alive isn't enough anymore.

Quote:Sour note! Music we listen to has become more sad and angry since the 1950s, study finds

*Popular music became fearful during Cold War, angry in mid-1990s, then sad
*Lawrence Technological University, Michigan, analysed more than 6,000 songs
*Cited 1977's We Will Rock You as song high in extroversion and low in sadness

'The music we listen to has become progressively more sad and angry since the 1950s, a study found.

Researchers said songs in the charts were never more joyful than six decades ago.
Popular music became fearful during the Cold War in the 1980s, angry in the mid-1990s and hit a sad low
in the 21st century. The lyrics of more than 6,000 songs from 1951 to 2016 were analysed for their chief
emotions.

Classic ‘positive’ 1950s tunes included See You Later, Alligator by Bill Haley, Be-Bop-A-Lula by Gene Vincent
and Love Me Tender by Elvis Presley.

Researchers at Lawrence Technological University in Michigan, US, said: ‘In general the results show a clear
trend toward a more negative tone in pop music lyrics, with a more significant change around the early 1990s.’
They cited 1977’s We Will Rock You by Queen as an example of a song high in extroversion and low in sadness
and fear...'

Quote: CATHOLIC MORNING COFFEE

Four old Catholic men and a Catholic woman were having coffee in St. Peters Square.

The first Catholic man tells his friends, "My son is a priest, when he walks into a room, everyone calls him 'Father'."

The second Catholic man chirps, "My son is a Bishop.

When he walks into a room people call him 'Your Grace'."

The third Catholic gent says, "My son is a Cardinal. When he enters a room everyone bows their head and says  'Your Eminence'."

The fourth Catholic man says very proudly, "My son is the Pope. When he walks into a room people call him  'Your Holiness'."

Since the lone Catholic woman was sipping her coffee in silence, The four men give her a subtle, "Well....?"

She proudly replies,  I have a daughter,

SLIM & TALL

  Censorship is in Full Swing
Posted by: Mystic Wanderer - 01-26-2019, 07:05 PM - Forum: Where Right goes Wrong - No Replies

As of today, You Tube will tell us what we can and can't watch on their platform.  If THEY deem it as "conspiracy", it will be pulled.
They even listed 9-11 as a "conspiracy theory" if people go against the story offered by the MSM.
I mean, really?!   tinybighuh
Are there still people out there who believe that lie after everything that's come out to prove it wrong?
Wow!

They (the Deep State) know too much truth is getting out to the public; they want to shut us up.

It won't work.   tinytongue

Many channels already have backup platforms to go to, and some are even making their own websites.
We will continue to spread the truth, with or without Deep State controlled platforms like You Tube, Twitter, and Face Book.

We will never give up, we will never give in, we will FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT!!

#WWG1WGA

(For those who need a place to chat your truth, you can always come here to RN. We don't censor.)

Quote:YouTube will recommend fewer videos that “could misinform users in harmful ways”, the company announced on Friday, in a shift for a platform that has faced criticism for amplifying conspiracy theories and extremism.

The change concerns YouTube’s recommendations feature, which automatically creates a playlist of videos for users to watch next. The recommendations are the result of complex and opaque algorithms designed to capture a user’s interest, but they have become a locus of criticism when YouTube directs people to potentially harmful and false content that they would not have otherwise sought out.

The company did not provide a clear definition of what it considers to be harmful misinformation, but said that some examples were “videos promoting a phony miracle cure for a serious illness, claiming the Earth is flat, or making blatantly false claims about historic events like 9/11”.

Can't allow those "natural cures" to get to the mainstream population, now can we?   smallnotamused
Flat Earth?  Okay, I don't care about that, but why remove it if people are entertained by it?
9-11?  I've already discussed this.

Quote:The changes will also affect “borderline content”, or videos that come close to violating the company’s rules for content without technically crossing the line.

A YouTube spokesperson did not provide additional details on what it would consider “borderline content” and said the company did not have statistics on the extent to which users discover videos through the recommendation feature. The shift would apply to less than 1% of videos, the company said.

Who determines what is "borderline content"?

Isn't this denying me the right to think for myself?

Quote:YouTube, Facebook and other social media platforms have faced growing scrutiny in recent years for their role in hosting and amplifying political propaganda and abusive content that spark real-world consequences and can lead to violence.

No shit Sherlock!  Well, if you would balance your Far-leftist content with some Right-wing Conservative content, I think we'd see much less violence, which seems to always come from the left because they've had lies pushed down their throat by every media outlet out there. They think everyone on the Right are evil, but in reality, it's the Far Left who is evil. The Right can show them how they are being manipulated and mind-controlled. "They" can't have that!

Quote:In 2016, the conspiracy theory that became known as “Pizzagate” – a popular rightwing fake news story alleging that the Comet Ping Pong restaurant was linked to a child sex ring involving the Hillary Clinton campaign – motivated a gunman to fire a weapon inside the restaurant.

Oh yeah, there it is; the Pizzagate "conspiracy".  Anyone who has done any deep research into this knows this is NOT a conspiracy. They are trying to keep the truth from the masses.

Quote:“It’s an echo chamber. It’s a feedback loop,” Mendrala said of YouTube’s algorithms. “It creates an insular community that is continually fed misinformation that reinforces their prejudices.”

Yes, just as I stated above.
I have a feeling they are referring to Republicans in that quote above, but it's the Democrats who are "continually fed misinformation" because they never see our comments.  Republicans are the ones being censored, and the major social networks are going to make it even worse as the 2020 election draws nearer.  They only want people seeing the Democrats viewpoints.

Rep. Ilhan Omar wants leniency for men accused of trying to join ISIS
Posted by: Mystic Wanderer - 01-26-2019, 04:53 PM - Forum: Political News and more - Replies (2)

What did the people who voted for this piece of shit think would happen?  She probably won by a rigged election to infiltrate our government, just like Obummer,  and then she took her oath on a Quran, which states she can lie to her "enemies".

That would be the U.S.

Pelosi put her on the foreign affairs committee. She will have access to everything!

Will the blind EVER open their eyes?  tinyshocked

Quote:Embattled congressional freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., once asked a judge to show leniency toward a group of Minnesota men accused of trying to join the Islamic State terror group.

“The best deterrent to fanaticism is a system of compassion," she wrote at the time. "We must alter our attitude and approach; if we truly want to effect change, we should refocus our efforts on inclusion and rehabilitation."

The nine Minnesota men were facing decades in prison after being accused in 2015 of making plans, including buying fake passports, in an effort to travel to Syria and fight for ISIS, which was at its peak level of activity and held territory in Syria and Iraq.

Omar, who was then a Minnesota state representative, was part of a group that sent letters to Judge Michael Davis urging him to give shorter sentences, arguing that harsher penalties would only lead to more people joining the terror group.

“Incarcerating 20-year-old men for 30 or 40 years is essentially a life sentence. Society will have no expectations of the to-be 50- or 60-year-old released prisoners; it will view them with distrust and revulsion,” read Omar’s letter to the judge, as obtained by FOX 9 of Minneapolis-St. Paul.

“Such punitive measures not only lack efficacy, they inevitably create an environment in which extremism can flourish, aligning with the presupposition of terrorist recruitment,” she added.

[Image: 694940094001_5990968081001_5990969968001-vs.jpg]Video
Omar’s letter seeking more lenient sentences resurfaced on social media amid criticism over her attack on Sen. Lindsey Graham, Covington Catholic High School students, and the endorsement of socialist Venezuelan dictatorship.

Stargates, alternate dimensions and UFOs researched secretely by the Pentagon
Posted by: Mystic Wanderer - 01-26-2019, 04:19 PM - Forum: Science and Space...the Other Final Frontiers - Replies (6)

More "drip, drip" disclosure being brought out in this piece.  This "slow walk" will take forever at this rate, but at least they ARE beginning to release it to the public.

Quote:Declassified documents have revealed that the Pentagon spent millions researching subjects which make the X-Files look tame – including wormholes and alternate dimensions.

The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) released 38 research titles in January after a Freedom of Information Act request.
The research included Warp Drive, Dark Energy, and the Manipulation of Extra Dimensions; Invisibility Cloaking and Traversable Wormholes, Stargates, and Negative Energy.

The research was funded as part of the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), by America’s Department of Defense.

UFO expert and former British Ministry of Defence employee Nick Pope said, ‘The DOD and the DIA have previously sought to spin AATIP as being a program looking at ‘foreign advanced aerospace weapon threats’, but the attachment to the DIA’s letter to Congress is difficult to reconcile with this.

‘The ‘products produced’ under the AATIP contract are listed as including reference papers on topics which seem more concerned with space travel.

‘The smoking gun is the paper about the Drake Equation, which is used to estimate the number of civilizations in the universe. This supports the suggestion that AATIP was indeed a UFO program, as has been claimed, and not an aviation program looking at aircraft, drones and missiles.’
