So far, the report says at least eight people have been killed with many others taken to the hospital.    

SANTA FE, Texas –At least eight people were killed in gunfire at Sante Fe High school this morning, federal and county law enforcement officials have confirmed.

An unidentified law enforcement officer was shot, but sources said he was "clipped" and was not seriously injured.
One source said the gunman was a male, but could provide no further information.

The shooter has been "arrested and secured," said Santa Fe HS Assistant Principal Dr. Cris Richardson.
Several other students as well as an officer was injured in the shooting.

Joe Gamaldi with the Houston Police Officers Union tweeted, "Please keep the officers in your prayers as one officer is being life flighted to the hospital."

Students described the gunfire, which broke out about 7:30 a.m.

Junior Liberty Wheeler, 14, was in class when she heard five shots ring out  near the art room.
Her teacher told them to run toward the theater department's storage room, where they hid for 45 minutes before being escorted outside by the SWAT team.

"You could small the gunpowder that came from the gun," Wheeler recalled as she was escorted out of the building. "We were all scared because it was near us."

Paige Curry, a junior at the school, said "I was sitting in my classroom and I heard very loud booms and I didn't know what they were. I was confused but after I heard screaming, I figured out what they were, got up immediately and started to run. I almost ran out of the school but I hid instead with the other students. I was there for maybe 30 minutes I was on the phone with my mom the whole time. They found us and escorted us."

"I was very, very scared but I managed to keep calm, especially with my mom on the phone."
"I heard people were hurt and the gunshots were from a classroom maybe three doors down. I heard five [shots] maybe. It was one boom, then another boom very loud. It wasn't rapid."

The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston is treating two patients, their conditions not yet being disclosed, said spokesman Raul Reyes. He said more patients are expected, including one currently being transported from the branch's League City hospital.

He said a helicopter with at least one patient is on the way and more ambulances are expected.

Officers in tactical gear were deployed into the school. Outside, groups of students evacuated from the building are being patted down by authorities.

A live video I was watching said the police were having to go back inside and do a total sweep inside the school because the shooter said he left multiple explosive devices in different areas. They will have to search backpacks the students left behind, among other things.  This will take several hours, I would imagine.

Cuba plane: Boeing 737 crashes near Havana airport.

'A Boeing 737 airliner from Cuba's state airline Cubana de Aviacion has crashed and exploded
near Jose Marti International Airport in Havana, Cuban media report.

The plane came down shortly after take-off, Prensa Latina news agency said.
Radio Habana Cuba said it was an internal flight from the Cuban capital to Holguin, in the east of
the island.

Witnesses told AFP news agency they could see a thick column of smoke near the airport.
Fire crews and ambulances are reported to be at the scene...'

I also saw an article about a bus load of kids that crashed recently.  I don't think anyone was seriously hurt, but it could also be related.

multiple deaths? Who died...? maybe the identification of the gunman, perhaps?

Not when there's a chance to blame Trump,  you wouldn't. The identity of the person who actually
committed the crime is delivered in the bottom part of piece, but the usual smearing of a media

Texas school shooting latest: Man turns up to Santa Fe High carrying American flag
and gun saying ‘Make America Great Again’

'A man holding a large American flag, carrying a gun, was at the scene of the Sante Fe High School
shooting in Texas and said “Make America Great Again”.

He was speaking to local KHOU-TV reporters near the scene where Texas governor Greg Abbott said
ten people have died, which ten others were injured. The man said he was there to “offer support” but it
was unclear what kind of support he was offering by echoing US President Donald Trump’s now-famous
slogan.

“‘God bless ya’ll’ will go a long way...right now,” the man said before walking away when it was clear he
was openly carrying a pistol on his right hip, clipped to his shorts.
An unidentified then appeared on camera, chastising the first man. 

Standing near a petrol station, the second man said to reporters "that's not what America needs.
America needs prayers," adding that though he supports Second Amendment rights to carry firearms,
he thought it was "an embarrassment" that the flag-carrier showed up at the high school "crime scene"
while openly carrying a gun. 

He said he hoped "they would get him," perhaps implying he hoped police would arrest him. "This idiot
is walking down the street with a damn pistol on the site where we just had kids get shot," the second
man said. 

"I have guns...but this idiot is walking down here saying 'Make America Great Again,' that's not what
America needs. America needs prayers, we don't need this crap," he said animatedly. 

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said the majority of the fatalities are students. At least eight students
were treated for gunshot wounds, six of whom have been released from hospital. At least one patient is
still in fair condition and expected to remain in hospital for several days and three more are being
treated in area hospitals. 

At least one police officer, John Barnes, was also injured and remains in critical condition.
Mr Barnes had retired from the Houston police force before joining school staff. 

Police identified a suspect, 17-year-old student Dimitrios Pagourtzis, and he is in custody. 
One other person has been detained but not identified, Mr Abbott said, adding that police
are questioning the person. 

The governor also confirmed during a news conference at the scene that the explosive devices found in
the wake of the shooting included a molotov cocktail that had been found in the suspected shooter's
home and a vehicle parked near the school.
CNN has reported that police are investigating two homes approximately three to four miles away from
the school, in the Houston suburb. 

Police received the alert of the active shooter situation just before 8am local time when students were
in their first classes of the day. Santa Fe High School's graduation ceremony was set to take place
tomorrow. This is the 22nd school shooting in the US this year...'

1 killed, 1 injured in shooting at Georgia high school

JONESBORO, Ga. — One person was killed and a second was injured in a shooting in the parking lot of a Georgia high school Friday night, according to WXIA.

The shooting happened at Mount Zion High School in Jonesboro.
The Clayton County Fire Department told WXIA there were three victims taken to hospitals. Two were taken to hospitals with gunshot wounds and one of those victims has died. The third victim was a pregnant woman who was injured when she was pushed.

The deceased victim has been identified as a woman in her 40s.
WXIA’s Ashley Johnson, citing police, previously reported that three people were shot and that the shooting happened at a graduation ceremony.

No additional details have been released about suspects, a motive or the victims.
Jonesboro is a city about 15 miles south of Atlanta.
The shooting comes just hours after 10 people were killed at a shooting at Santa Fe High School in Texas.

It appears that the shooter proudly wore a piece of pro-Communist propaganda on his clothing as he carried out the attack.
Photos and descriptions from the accused criminal’s Facebook page show an unmistakable Soviet “hammer and sickle” pin placed prominently on the lapel of his jacket — the same jacket that witnesses said he wore during the rampage.




The “hammer and sickle” is the exact same symbol used by many far-left anti-Trump activists, including “Antifa.”
Metro UK newspaper published screenshots of the suspect’s account and showed a red Socialist star with the hammer and sickle. The student’s own description confirmed what the pin meant. “Duster Hammer and Sickle = Rebellion,” he wrote.

The star pin appeared to be identical or similar to items available from MarxistBooks.com and other pro-socialist propaganda outlets.

More recently, the symbol has become the de facto icon of radical anti-Trump protesters. There are numerous examples of liberal protesters waving the hammer and sickle flag or using the iconography on banners protesting the president and conservatism.

Shooter said, "Another one bites the dust", after every time he shot someone.    

The gunman who opened fire inside Santa Fe High School in Texas Friday morning allegedly repeated "another one bites the dust" during the carnage, one survivor said this morning.

"He was playing music, making jokes, had slogans and rhymes he kept saying," student Trenton Beazely said of the suspect on "Good Morning America." "Every time he’d kill someone he’d say, ‘another one bites the dust.’”

Eight students and two teachers were shot and killed when 17-year-old Dimitrios Pagourtzis allegedly burst into an art room with a shotgun and a .38-caliber revolver, both of which appear to be legally owned by his father. Thirteen others were wounded.



Beazely first heard a singular "boom" that morning in art class, he said, which he figured was a textbook falling to the floor. Then he heard two more "booms," after which "everyone just started taking off running,” he added.

Beazely broke into a room where they stored kilns but the gunman found them.
"I could see him running, gun pointed at the door," he said.

As his adrenaline raced, Beazely said, he helped wrap wounds for a victim. It wasn't until after police rescued them that he realized he had been shot.



Another student, Rome Shubert, scaled a 7-foot wall as he fled during the shooting, initially not realizing he had been shot in the head, he said.
His mother, Sheri Shubert, "wailed" and "screamed" when she found out her son was in the hospital, she told "GMA.”


But he wasn't critically hurt; the bullet went through the back of his head and out the side, Rome Shubert said on "GMA." If the wound was anywhere else, he said the doctors told him, he could have been paralyzed or killed.

The star baseball player at Santa Fe High School returned to the field the next day, he said, to "give a little feeling of hope." He wore the initials of the victims on his wrist as he played.

Standing with “GMA” co-anchor Michael Strahan as the sun rose over Santa Fe High School this morning, Beazely said he never thought a school shooting would happen there.


"You see it on the news happen at others schools, and it's sad until you actually end up experiencing it,” he said.
Pagourtzis is in custody and has been charged with capital murder, officials said.

The suspect allegedly wrote in journals that he wanted to carry out the shooting and then commit suicide, but he gave himself up to authorities, according to Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, who called the shooting "one of the most heinous attacks that we've ever seen in the history of Texas schools."
