Eight People Wounded in Tennessee Church Shooting
#1
No mention of any suspects, and of course no mention that this was a terrorist act.  This is all I see mentioned for now.

Even if a person doesn't believe in God, they should show more respect to those who do. At least, leave them alone during church service. Shooting people while they are worshiping is as low as you can go, in my opinion.

The world has gone to hell.   tinycrying

Quote:NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Authorities in Tennessee say eight people were injured in a shooting at a church in the Nashville area.
Nashville fire department spokesman Joseph Pleasant tells the Tennessean newspaper that the wounded were being transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center. The nature of the injuries weren't immediately known.

A dispatcher quoted by the newspaper said that the scene was still "active" at the Burnette Chapel Church of Christ as of 11:40 a.m. Sunday. Multiple ambulances were seen at the church.

On Twitter, Nashville fire officials described it as a "mass casualty situation." They said eight people, nearly all of them adults over age 60, were being treated for gunshot wounds and the area around the church remained shut down.

A Nashville police spokesman didn't immediately answer a telephone call or respond to an email on the shooting.

Quote:The suspect was identified by police as 25-year-old Emanuel Kidega Samson, of Rutherford County, Tennessee. Police had previously described Samson as a "26-year-old African American individual."

Quote:They also said that "all of the wounded except for one is over the age of 60."

Isn't that the way of these cowardly bullies?   I bet he feels all full of himself now that he's shot some people old enough to be his grandparents!  He makes me sick!!   tinyangry

Of course it won't be labeled terrorism, it's against Christians. Harassing and targeting Christians has been sanctioned by the government for so long in this country people think it's just fine and dandy. Of course the Bible warns that this is the way it will be before the end. We'll all be persecuted just like Jesus, for his sake and in his name. He was such a threat to the powers that be in those days they had to figure out a way to get him killed without causing an uprising, so Judas was the one appointed (pre-ordained by God before birth) to betray his friend. It's interesting, too, that he was probably unaware that he would be the one who did it. Evil entered his heart at the last supper, so there he went to get his money.

Jesus spoke of the complete freedom and peace of mind that comes from following him, and that enraged the powers that be. If no one paid the priests to intercede for them, how would they stay rich? If they couldn't tie people to the law in the books, how could they be controlled? Jesus was a major threat to organized religion in his day, and he still is. So many churches are full of pious, holier-than-thou people who talk the talk and claim to be religious, but when it comes down to it, they can't walk the walk. They have no compassion, so they will be shown none. They can't forgive, so they won't be forgiven. They just can't keep their hearts from hating, and that will do them in.
