Parliament shooting: Police officer 'stabbed'.
(Thursday, 22nd March 2017)
'A police officer has been stabbed in the Houses of Parliament in central London, in
what police are treating as a terrorist incident.

Commons Leader David Lidington told MPs [Members of Parliament] the "alleged assailant
was shot by armed police". There are also reports of as many as five people being "mowed
down" on nearby Westminster Bridge.

MPs said they had heard three or four gunshots. A Downing Street source said Prime
Minister Theresa May was "OK".

Prime Minister Theresa May was seen being ushered into a silver Jaguar car as what
sounded like gunfire rang out at Parliament during the incident.
Staff inside Parliament were told to stay inside their offices.

Tom Peck, political editor for the Independent, tweeted: "There was a loud bang. Screams.
Commotion. Then the sound of gunshots. Armed police everywhere."

Press Association political editor Andrew Woodcock witnessed the scenes unfolding from
his office window overlooking New Palace Yard.
"I heard shouts and screams from outside and looked out, and there was a group of maybe
40 or 50 people running round the corner from Bridge Street into Parliament Square.

"They appeared to be running away from something...'

Update:

16:10pm:
Bomb squad called to Parliament
A planned evacuation of Parliament has been halted after an announcement was made
saying there was a suspicious package in a vehicle and the bomb squad had been called.

16:12pm:
London Eye in lockdown.
The London Eye tourist attraction, just across the Thames from Parliament, said it was on
lockdown following the attack. A spokesman said: "At present we are holding all of our guests
within our attractions as per tried and tested security procedures."

16:13pm:
One dead in Westminster incident doctors say.
One woman has died and a number of others have been hurt - including some with
"catastrophic" injuries - in the incident on Westminster Bridge, a junior doctor at St
Thomas' Hospital has said.

16:22pm:
'I saw a couple of bodies on the ground'
Matt Haikin, 44, from London, said he was in shock after seeing the aftermath of the crash
on the bridge.

He said: "I just saw a car that had clearly driven off the road into the fence outside Parliament.
"As I went past I noticed there was a body next to it and quite a lot of blood and people standing
around. "Fairly shortly after I heard some shots, at which point it was clear it wasn't just an accident,
something else was going on."

He then moved to look through the Palace of Westminster gates and saw "a lot of people, people
in uniform, I think I saw a couple of bodies on the ground, I couldn't tell you if they'd been asked to
lie down or if they were injured".

What a sad state we live in.  Some humans are just scum that need to be taken off planet and thrown out with the trash.  Maybe a big reptilian will see them as they fly by and have a tasty meal. tinysure

A video I posted in a different thread had a woman telling how things are going in Germany; that the terrorists are going to start striking at food marts and ordinary places where civilians go.

You just never know when or where they will strike.

I agree Mystic, the casualties are always the innocent and with this latest incident,
I fear those not involved but may have similar features may take some of the blow-back.

This is a direct attack on the seat of power and I'm sure it's repercussions will be felt all the
way to countries that may have been on a list regarding flights.

Update:
16:29pm:

Labour MP in 'absolute shock'.
Labour MP Jon Ashworth says he and his fellow MPs are in a state of "absolute shock"
at what has happened.
He says it was the busiest day of the week, due to Prime Minister's Questions, and
Parliament was full of visitors.

Make no mistake, the amount of people in the building had a bearing on the time of the attack.
They can't put this one down to the stereotypical 'crazed madman'!

These poor people trapped on the London Eye are at least getting a good view... sadly.

16:42pm:

Lord Paddick: 'Great credit' to police.
Peer and former police officer Lord Paddick says he understands there was a suspect
package attached to a vehicle outside Parliament and this is the reason the building
has not been evacuated.

He says the loss of life is a tragedy but "great credit" is due to the police that no one
inside the Palace of Westminster appears to be in danger at the moment.
He says the situation is "calm" with people "relatively relaxed".

They're increasing the attacks.

It seems it was just one vehicle and the attacker drove it -as said later:

'...Acting Deputy Commissioner and head of counter terrorism at the Metropolitan Police,
Mark Rowley, said a major investigation was under way into the "marauding terrorist attack".

He said emergency services were called at 14.40 GMT after the car was driven over
Westminster Bridge, hitting and injuring a number of members of the public and the three
police officers, who were on their way back from a commendation ceremony.

After the car crashed into the railings of the Houses of Parliament, a man armed with a knife
"continued the attack" and tried to enter the building.

He said it was believed there was only one attacker, but "I am sure the public will understand
us taking every precaution in locking down and searching the area as thoroughly as possible"...'

Psst... Wanna see a biased narrative?
Do you wish to see how a horrible incident can be used to maintain pressure on an
anti-establishment person of note?

The terrorist attack at Westminster on Wednesday 22nd March 2017 is a tragedy and
to have to write that is an indictment of how 'dumbed-down' we have become.
Of course, it's a terrible incident, people died at the hands of a person who held silly
belief that doesn't tolerate the freedoms that many in the west hold dear.

The investigation into the whole situation has led Police Officers into the city of
Birmingham, a hundred and twenty miles away from London with eight arrests
reported the day after the killings.

The latest reports from the BBC state that these arrests are in London, Birmingham
and elsewhere. The car had only one steering wheel and only one person attacked
the Policeman at the gate of Westminster, so why detain people from far and wide?

This implies organisation. The vehicle used to mow down innocent tourists on
Westminster Bridge was hired from Birmingham and I would suggest that dawn
-raids on houses in that city weren't brought about by wondering which car-rental
company it was.

Can we agree that this sort of behavior isn't normal...? Can we agree that in reality,
we as a species shouldn't tolerate the slayings of innocent men and women?

So when someone suggests 'just get used to it', it can be difficult for those in the
a region of the world that enjoys religious tolerance and racial acceptance to just
cede that religious violence should be the norm and we should prepare ourselves to
be either injured or killed in the name of a doctrine we might not believe in.

But when a Mayor of London tweeted 'it's part-and-parcel of living in a big city' last year,
one can understand that tempers may become flared, especially after the evidence
provided at the foot of the Houses of Parliament on Wednesday.

Donald Trump Jr criticises London mayor after terror attack.

'President Donald Trump's son has come under fire for criticising London's mayor,
shortly after a terror attack on the UK capital killed three people.

Donald Trump Jr tweeted an article written last year, in which Sadiq Khan said terror
vigilance had become "part and parcel" of life in a global city.
Mr Trump quoted the headline and tweeted: "You have to be kidding me?!"

He angered many Britons who accused him of exploiting the tragedy and implying the
quotes were made after the attack...'
SOURCE:
(By the way, the BBC link mentions Canada... odd?)

What's the problem...? What exactly was Mr. Trump Jr. exploiting?
Sure, it's an insensitive tweet if we're talking about the feelings of those exposed to the
carnage this fellow with the car and knife undertook and yes, in the political-correctness
of today's first-world society, it can be seen as a brazen 'up yours' from someone in the
political hallways of power.

But wouldn't you be angry...? Do you think the families of the dead and injured wouldn't
feel that their loved-ones were nothing more than casualties in a mindless crusade that
had nothing to do with them?

Ignoring the fact that I seriously doubt any polling was done to locate these supposed
'angry Britons' that accused Trump Jr of exploiting the situation, the article leans far-too
much on Trump Jr.'s comment and leaves Mayor Khan's tweet hanging.

What did he mean 'get used to it'...? London is one of the oldest capitals in the world,
what has changed within that city that demands the citizens to accommodate these types
of killings?

Oh yes, I think we know what altered and with certain sections of it, violence towards the
infidel rides along with it. This recent attack on Great Britain shows that whatever horrors
France and other mainland European countries were enduring, has now arrived at our
shores again and someone reckons we should just get used to it.

Are you kidding me?

The Mayor of London (Sadiq Khan) is a Muslim, Correct?

He said people of London should just Basically Learn to live with Terrorism, Correct?

Did he Dance in the Street 14 years ago when the Twin Towers were Destroyed and Over 3000 people died?
I think he might have,,, maybe in front of his Mosque.
What could people be thinking when they voted for this person?
Is London filled with California Liberal Progressive Socialist and New York Elite Type of People?

Edited to add:
Quote:ISIS claim responsibility for London terror attack after British-born terrorist kills three and injures 29
That's right, another home grown Fanatic!
Ask your Mayor if this Murdering Piece of Shit attended his Mosque.
Quote:The Amaq News Agency, which is seen as the terror group's official press service, report the attacker was "a soldier of Islamic State".

The terror group does not provide the name of the attacker.
The Amaq statement said: "The perpetrator of the attacks yesterday in front of the British parliament in London is an Islamic State soldier and he carried out the operation in response to calls to target citizens of the coalition."

Sadiq Khan is a Sunni Muslim.

He tweeted some time last year that terrorism is part-and-parcel of living in a big city
and it's been added to his narrative that 'we should just get used to it'
I can only find this article that headlines it.

'....Khan was elected Mayor of London in the May 2016 mayoral election, succeeding
Conservative Party Mayor Boris Johnson. He immediately resigned as MP for Tooting.

His election as Mayor of London made him the city's first ethnic minority mayor, and the
first Muslim to become mayor of a major Western capital.

Khan held the largest personal mandate of any politician in the history of the United Kingdom,
and the third largest personal mandate in Europe.

As mayor he introduced reforms to limit charges on London's public transport, backed airport
expansion, and focused on uniting the city's varied communities.

He was a vocal supporter of the unsuccessful Britain Stronger in Europe campaign to retain
UK membership of the European Union...'

The answer to your last question is Yes. The country outside of London does not enjoy the
social and financial benefits the capital does. The house prices are far above anywhere else in
ratio and salaries (especially Journalists!) reflect this.

Edit:

'...In November 2015, Sadiq Khan made a promise to freeze all London's Tube, train
and bus fares for four years if elected Mayor.

He said this would cost £450m over four years, but Transport for London said the real
cost would be £1.9 billion, saying that Khan had not considered "increasing ridership
over the Business Plan (passenger numbers are rising by 5 per cent every year) and
there will be new fares revenue from Crossrail when it opens in 2018/19"...'

That's good for London travellers and here's the evidence:

'The Mayor Sadiq Khan has frozen fares in London.

The following are frozen until 2020:
All fares on buses and trams
All single pay as you go fares and paper single tickets on Tube and DLR services
All Santander Cycles hire and access charges
All fares on Emirates Air Line
Certain fares are also frozen until 2020 on:

London Overground and TfL Rail
River Bus
Travelcard prices and daily and weekly caps are set with the train operating companies
and not solely by the Mayor.'

For the Air line contract, there was this:
'...The scheme was also criticised because the original contract forbade the use of funds
from Israel, which the UAE does not recognise diplomatically.

It imposed restrictions on "(i) any Competitor; or (ii) any person who is a national of, or who
is registered, incorporated, established or whose principal place of business is in a country
with which the United Arab Emirates does not at the date of this Contract or at any relevant
point during the Term maintain diplomatic relations."

The contract also forbade the mayor or Transport for London from criticising the United Arab
Emirates royal families, the UAE government, or the contract.
The clause regarding Israel was later removed...'

Not much different from his Heros in California, the Liberal progressives have threatened private construction companies not to build President Trumps Wall.

SACRAMENTO — Three California Democrats have a warning for contractors who sign up for President Donald Trump’s border-wall construction project between the U.S. and Mexico: Build it, and we will divest from your company.

In the latest act of resistance against the Trump administration, the state lawmakers have introduced a bill that would force the state to drop its pension investments in any companies involved in the project.

“This is a wall of shame and we don’t want any part of it,” Assemblyman Phil Ting, D-San Francisco, said in a statement. “Immigrant stories are the history of America and this is a nightmare.”

As it was stated all of Saturday and early Sunday, the horrific attack at the
Houses of Parliament wasn't terrorist-related and the man who lived in the
well-to-do village of Northiam in Sussex was just confused and radicalised.

London attack: Man, 30, arrested in Birmingham.

'A man has been arrested in Birmingham by police investigating the Westminster
terror attack, in which four people were killed.

The Met Police said the 30-year-old was being held on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts.
Another man, 58, arrested in Birmingham on Thursday, remains in custody.

Khalid Masood, 52, killed three people when he drove a car into pedestrians on Wednesday.
He then fatally stabbed a policeman before police shot him dead.
The entire attack on Westminster Bridge and in the grounds of Parliament was over within
82 seconds.

The latest arrest is the 12th to be made by the Met Police in connection with the attack.
Nine people have so far been released without charge.
A 32-year-old woman arrested in Manchester remains on police bail until late March...'

And elsewhere...

Westminster terrorist linked to remote controlled car bomb plot.

'The Islamist behind the Westminster terror outrage was investigated by MI5 as
part of a plot to blow up an army base using a remote controlled car, the Daily
Telegraph can reveal.

Adrian Ajao, 52, who killed four people, including a police officer in last Wednesday's
attack, is understood to have been probed six years ago over alleged connections
to four al Qaeda inspired terrorists.

Zahid Iqbal, Mohammed Sharfaraz Ahmed, Syed Hussain and Umar Arshad, were
jailed for a total of 44-years in 2013, after admitting plotting to launch an audacious
bomb attack on a Territorial Army base in their hometown of Luton.

Ajao had moved to the town in 2009 following two stints in Saudi Arabia, and lived
just a few hundreds yards from one of the ringleaders.

It is thought the fitness fanatic and body builder may have also come into contact with
members of the gang when they started preparing for jihad by attending a local gym.

Following last week's attack, Prime Minister Theresa May, confirmed that Ajao -
who changed his name to Khalid Masood after converting to Islam - had been
investigated by the security services for links to "violent extremism".
However after carrying out a risk assessment and looking into his background,
it was decided he did not pose a terror threat.

Over the weekend more information began to emerge about Ajao’s recent movements.

As well as having two daughters from an earlier relationship with businesswoman,
Jane Harvey, with whom he lived in the village of Northiam near Rye in East Sussex,
Ajao also has a son and a daughter with his most recent partner Rohey Hydara...'
