or not, are tolerated by Governments because it's preferable for cheap labour for businesses and
assists in keeping national wage levels down.
These reasons are perfectly viable, but the 'cheapness' comes at a different type of cost.

driving licence, it was revealed today.
Ryszard Masierak, 31, is charged with causing eight deaths by dangerous driving and
being over the drink-drive limit.
During his bail application, a judge was told that Masierak’s licence to drive heavy goods
vehicles in the UK had been revoked in 2014 -but his employers had never been informed
of this.
Judge Francis Sheridan heard that Masierak – in an artist’s impression – had been asleep

Bucks, when the tragedy took place.
Six men and two women died as their minibus swerved to avoid the truck in the inside lane
and it was then flattened in a collision with another lorry.
The judge told Aylesbury Crown Court: “I am not going to grant bail in this case.
“This is the most serious road traffic collision which has come before the courts certainly in
the last 10 years and the flight risk is enormous.
“The position is that this man was asleep for 12 and a half minutes in his articulated lorry in the
inside lane, not the hard shoulder, and he was already in excess of the legal limit for driving.”...'
