As an aside, I've traveled through Silesia in the area where "Die Glock" was supposedly located.  There are some cool underground storage caverns built into the hillsides by the Nazis -- some can be visited now, but the travel is by boat because of underground flooding.  The underground works are known as the "Riese" (Gigantic).

And apparently, the slave-help who were involved in the grunge-work around the Nazi Bell stated after the war
that the underground area where it was tested, had special mats surrounding the walls. After every test, these
same prisoners had burn these mats and then wash the place down with brine.

A few of the slave-labourers also stated that from their confined location -(on the surface), witnessed the Bell
rise vertically and descend, but never saw it move horizontally.
