A 54-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday and has now been charged with the abduction of a 15-year-old girl.
Jawwad Akram, of Edgware, north-west London, appeared in custody at Willesden Magistrates' Court in the
capital on Thursday.
He is charged with having arranged or facilitated the travel of the girl between Thursday, 30 September and
Wednesday, 6 October, with a view to her being exploited, contrary to sections two and five of the 2015 Modern
Slavery Act...'
