I would also like a longer list of "recent threads", not at the sidebar, but in the top link.

I've just made some changes to the recent threads format which now holds the latest 40 threads instead of the latest 15 like it had up to now.

Oh, I see that now on the Discussions side.  I was talking about the link at the top on the Portal side.  You can take it back down to 20, if you wish.  That does seem to be a bit much showing on the discussions side before getting to the forums. 
Sorry for the confusion.  I'll look there first from now on.
