Steve Scalise: Republican House whip shot and wounded.

ass-heads, this 66 year-old man realised that it was his destiny to be a 'warrior' to those who have been oppressed
by... by choosing a political candidate that failed to win an election.

Therein lies the perplexing, and slightly aggravating, part of this whole sordid tale.

It wasn't Trump, or even the Republicans (many of whom still find themselves in violent opposition to Trump) who "stole" the election from Bernie and the Sandersistas.

It was Hillary.

There was even a running joke around here that if Bernie won just one more primary, Hillary could win the nomination as early as 6 months previous to that win. With every Sandersista win, Hillary was mysteriously walking off with the endorsement from that Bernie win. It did not go unnoticed, even by those in opposition to the leftists. Bernie never even got to try himself against Trump because HILLARY body-blocked his ass before he even got out of the gate.

Instead of targeting their closest opponents, however, they chose to target those a bit farther off. Maybe they prefer that stand-off distance, but I'm here to tell you it's a piss poor strategy to target far enemies and leave the ones within arms reach alive to overrun you. They're closer, and they can get to you a damned sight faster than the ones you are preoccupying yourself with at a safe distance away. If a jaguar is coming across the mountains to get you, and a wolf is right there gnawing your leg off, does it really make sense to have a go at the jaguar and leave the wolf alone to cripple you?

Now the Sandersistas, in their butt-hurt rage, are insisting that they are going to create a new political party. This shooting is a classic example of how leftists go about starting new political parties - when they can't win, they simply try to "eliminate" all opposition by violent force until they can. They seem to be oblivious to fairly recent history, however. The conservatives tried to create the "Tea Party", and it was promptly absorbed in a hostile takeover by the Neocon Republicans and simply vanished. I expect the DNC will do the same to any attempted creation of a Sandersista Party. It could get a little more lively and entertaining, though, given the left's preference for violent revolution when all else fails. In the end, the DNC would still win, as the far leftists tend to split their attention between attacking actual threats and non-threats.

They did try to emulate the Tea Party once already with the "Occupy Movement", which fizzled out without even a "pop!". Their main problem there was in trying to keep it "leaderless", and do everything by consensus. A "leaderless" organization is no organization at all - it's a DISorganization, and doing everything by consensus makes mountain-building on geologic time scales look like the fast track. They seem to have possibly figured that out, as they are now trying to draft Bernie into their schemes as the leader of this newly proposed party, and they plan to have it on the ballots in every state within the next two years. If that fails, then they'll go to war. This was just a warning shot over the bow, a taste of what's to come if the children don't get their way in this tantrum they are throwing.

The one advantage they have is that they are mostly young folks, strong but wet behind the ears. Although they have the vigor of youth, they are not old enough to remember what real communism and socialism looked like. BUT... is that REALLY an advantage? There is a reason old folks live long enough to get old...

Think about it, kiddies... then think a little harder before you jump. There might not be any bottom where you land.

Diogenes was eating bread and lentils for supper. He was seen by the philosopher Aristippus, who lived comfortably by flattering the king.

Said Aristippus, ‘If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.’ Said Diogenes, ‘Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.’
