Who want their kids to be sex workers?
#1
That is the question, well apparently someone named Cathy Reisenwitz says it is OK and YOU (the Parent) are the problem if you don't like the idea.

If you honestly think the worst thing that could happen to someone is their kids doing sex work you *are* the problem.

Well, maybe she has a point. Having your kids doing serial killing could potentially be worse than having your kids do sex work. We’re also making an assumption here that your kid is doing sex work of his or her own volition as opposed to being trafficked into it.

Maybe there’s a stigma for a reason? Like, does anyone out there want their kids to be sex workers? Because should definitely be a stigma when it comes to people like that. And a stigma surrounding child prostitution seems pretty reasonable, if we’re being honest.

So I guess we'll just ignore the rates of STD's, assaults and homicides in the sex worker community.   Uh, no.   Those who are against it are NOT the problem.

We seem to hear more and more about stuff that has been a big NO NO for the last zillion years.. I suppose that is what you can expect when the LGBTQ (whatever they call themselves) gains a bigger voice in society. They have an agenda to push all things sex that would make the 60s people blush IMO.

It happens more than most people want to admit.

From parents that turn a blind eye to their daughters hooking up with the rich and famous, or with someone they think is on the path to fame and wealth. To mothers that turn a blind eye to their daughters being exploited by a husband or boyfriend, because they are too afraid of being alone.

Some mothers and fathers are selling their children over the internet, and as disgusting as this is, very little is being done about it.

This has been going on for a very long time, and you can find articles and video of this going on "all over the world". No country is innocent when it comes to the crime of child exploitation and sex abuse.

As long as we allow children to be sexualized it will continue. Parents that allow their children to become objects of desire by dressing them as adults, or in titillating attire, are not doing much to stop the cycle. Our societal appeal for a women to appear desirable and sexually appealing, the look but don't touch model, also keeps the cycle going.

I am not saying what a person has a right to do, I am speaking of whether it is right to do. Look but don't touch signs don't even work in museums. You are always going to have "that" person.

Maybe.

The possibility also exist that she had a VERY close, unhealthily close, relationship with her daddy... there is a school of psychological thought that stipulates that sort of thing leads to an astounding degree of profligacy in later life...

Then there is Ned, a guy down at the bar, who ONLY targets women who have "daddy issues", for much the same reasoning...

I reckon it may just be a matter of which side of that fence one is standing on as to how they view it.

There is a lot of truth in what you say.

Unfortunately, some victims of childhood sexual abuse, view sexual abuse of children as natural, and don't see it as wrong. Personally, I believe it is a way for them to cope with the trauma they experienced in their own lives, and the only way to make it normal for them, is to make it acceptable for all children.

The sexual exploitation of children is as old as time. I sickens me that as a supposed civil society, that this is still such a huge problem.

Not just children. Is scars them for life, and causes some to engage in questionable behavior even as adults. Don't forget Ned's predatory nature. he cuts them out of the herd like a one-man wolf pack, and then brings them to ground with their own apparently willing assistance.

She has her own site https://www.cathyreisenwitz.com/ and is over on Substack https://cathyreisenwitz.substack.com/ . Apparently she is a writer (just ask her).

She really has a bug-a-boo about Evangelicals. So much so it seems whatever they are for, she is against. Also she is pro-legal prostitution, anti-republican (shocker), and anti-police.

She is pro-porn according to her writings but her Twitter says she is only mediocre at it. There are no links to examples of this so we are left to take her word for it.

I feel sorry for but just a little bit. Her world and perspective must be so bizarre she must need some kind of therapy now and then.

So I'm a little confused here. Is she talking about actual little children or is she talking about adult children?

Here's the thing: My oldest has a full time job during the week, a seasonal job on the weekends... and does online fetish stuff on the side, like really weird (to me at least) stuff.

In my opinion it is extremely dangerous in several ways and I have voiced my opinion in the most gentle and caring fashion only to be viciously attacked. Other than the physical dangers of some of the things she is doing there is also the very real fear of some psycho freak tracking her down, putting not only herself but my grandchild in danger by living in the same place.

She threatened to cut me off from my grandchild unless I supported her choices, I refused to support her activity due to the dangers- I couldn't care less about what she chooses to do in her own bedroom but when what you are doing could possibly put the entire household in danger I have a serious problem with it.

Fortunately my granddaughter is a smart girl and at first went behind mama's back to stay in touch with me, then when she got caught she stood up to her and refused to cut off contact. Sometimes I think that she is the only adult in that house.

The whole situation had me so freaked out I ended up in therapy for many months. It still freaks me out but at least I can sleep now and my hair isn't falling out in quite as large handfuls. I had to learn that I cannot control what my adult child does, all I can do is love her and pray for her.

I still talk to my oldest, we even spent Christmas with them. There is just a huge elephant in the room at all times. My granddaughter stays in touch with me and my other daughter and she knows if anything goes sideways either of us will swoop her out of there at a moment's notice.

To keep my sanity I basically have to bury my head in the sand.

People need to know that their choices do not only effect them, it effects the entire family.

A friend of mine has a daughter that is involved in a similar endeavor on the internet. She was so shocked when she found out how much she was making that she was actually pleased for her.

When she got sick, her daughter came and stayed with her. Her daughter continued her work. It was always  in early hours of the morning, behind closed doors. When she asked her if it was safe, she showed her the balance in her checking account. My friend said her daughter made more money in the few weeks she stayed with her, from just a couple of hours in her bedroom, than she herself had made in five years working herself to death.

It is a very lucrative venture for some, for a minute. Unfortunately, I see what happens on the other side of that door, it is not pretty, and most victims of trauma will admit that it is not worth it.

You can't control what a person willfully desires. You can try to warn them, you can try to protect them, but that is about all you can do. Some people cannot learn vicariously. Some just have to touch that stove, with their whole hand, even if it is glowing red.

I just completed a class on Human Trafficking that focused on recognition and ways to safely intervene, for both the patient and the staff.

I knew trafficking of children by parents happened, but even I was shocked to find out just how often this disgusting crime occurs.

When is comes to human trafficking, the first thing the average person thinks of is violence and sex. There is more labor trafficking than sex trafficking. Physical violence often is not involved, fear is the most effective of the means the trafficker uses, and it can happen to anyone, at any age, of any race, from any country. Sometimes the lines blur.

Often times the child does not know they are being trafficked. Even worse is when the child is a willing participant in the sex trade, which is different from trafficking, but still disgusting, illegal, and just plain wrong. Poverty is the most common excused used. Which to me means the only solution is to make the punishment so severe for the buyer, that they will greatly fear the outcome, and not commit this horrible crime.

I can think of a few punishments, but they would all also be considered criminal acts, but I fear any humane punishment would not be enough of a deterrent.

Sex trafficking is what happened to my third marriage.

The middle daughter - this is the same girl that was the "Barnes and Noble Witch" - had split from her husband and came to stay with us, bringing the grandkids along. She took to dragging strange men into the house, which got on my nerves to no end, but one evening they went so hard at it upstairs that it was shaking the pictures on the wall downstairs in the living room where I was sitting right below them, trying to watch TV. I told her ma that shit had to stop, and got the reply that "well she makes good money at it", and that REALLY set me off. I didn't know she was whoring, I though she just liked weird guys, a lot.

I reckon she came by it honest - one of her aunts, my sister in law at the time, was a crack whore, too, but she never came around the house, and damned sure never did business there.

One of their arguments was "well YOU worked at strip joints!" Yeah, I did, as a full time DJ and a part-time bouncer whenever actual fights broke out, but that was at a club, not at my blasted HOUSE, and it wasn't my daughter shaking her tatas on the stage and splitting her tips with me. Big damned difference.

So I told her to get her shit and get the hell out, I wasn't running a whorehouse. Her ma, ever dutiful, ran to her defense, and that was just a little more than I could take, considering she was condoning that crap with the grand kids in the house too, so I got the hell out instead, and left them there to run their little whorehouse. This is the same crazy bunch that made up tales on me and had me arrested on made up bullshit for leaving them, then robbed me blind while they had me in the lockdown, then got laughed out of court when I made them show for the trial with a subpoena as witnesses. In the America of those days, a man still had a right to face his accusers on court.

There was a lot more to it than that, but the rest probably isn't relevant to the discussion at hand. You would not believe the crap I went through in that go-round. The little missus, for example, had her first ex-husband start coming around. This was a man known to set fire to other men he found sleeping passed out in his house. I wasn't down for watching my back forever in my own damned house - he could enforce for them if he wanted! I was outta there.

Not on my watch. I couldn't shoot ALL the deadbeats she was dragging in, so the next best option was to vacate myself from them instead. Oh, they begged and howled and wrung their hands, begging me not to leave, but shit, I was neither their pimp nor their bouncer, so their own safety was on them. I wasn't their goddamned guard when they were inviting the danger in. They could either listen to what I had to say, or look out for their own damned selves. I dunno if the daughter is still whoring or not - I ain't spoke the them since. That ex wife died a couple years ago, I have no idea from what, but she looked mighty rough there at the end...

I reckon that's what you get when you walk on the wild side and start thinking the wild side might not be such a bad place to live - crazy women work their way into your world when you start thinking you could live there. This is how we live and learn.

The upside is that I got attached to Grace in the afterwards, and she's a damned site saner than they were, and life is a lot saner and calmer now.

From the begining of time, and in almost every country, there were people who sacrificed their children to the gods.

Many still do. In today's time it is most often to the gods of fame and money.

We like to think of parenting as noble, natural, sometimes even spiritual, but in the world of nature, parenting is more about survival than about love.

Maybe it is society's move away from the family as a unit, and the focus on the "me" rather than "us", that seems to have the world looking like it is spinning backwards.

Maybe the much expected planetary flip has already happened, because it sure feels like we are hanging upside down.

A partial-remedy would be to get rid of those damned cameras that masquerade as cell-phones.
Even the commercials for them extol the qualities of using them for narcissistic reasons!
I await an advertisement that begrudgingly mentions you can speak to people on them too.

Indeed, cell phones has escalated the deterioration of our society to a point of warp speed.

Almost everyone of my trauma or abuse cases has a social media connection. Social media gives people an elevated and warped sense of who they are. The black mirror reflects an image that is more imagination than reality.

For centuries people have been using scrying mirrors in an attempt to see into the beyond. Today almost everyone carries one on their person constantly, yet they don't see beyond the nose on their own faces.
