In flu season, all diseases matter.

Quote:Avian flu: Hundreds of birds culled at Kent farm

'Hundreds of birds are to be culled at a farm in Kent where an outbreak
of avian influenza of the H5N2 strain has been detected.

A 1km restricted zone has been placed around the premises near Deal
"to prevent the disease spreading".

Public Health England (PHE) said the risk to the UK population was "very low"
but it was "looking for evidence of spread to control and eliminate it".
All 480 birds at the site are to be "humanely culled".

PHE's chief veterinary officer Christine Middlemiss said: "Immediate steps have
been taken to limit the risk of the disease spreading and all remaining poultry
and captive birds at the farm will be culled."

There will be no impact on food supply as the farm does not supply poultry,
meat or eggs commercially, she added. Bird keepers have been told to remain
alert for signs of disease and to report suspected cases immediately.

"We are urgently looking for any evidence of disease spread associated with this
farm to control and eliminate it," Ms Middlemiss said.

Dr Gavin Dabrera, consultant in acute respiratory infections at PHE, said bird flu
was an "uncommon infection" in humans. But he advised people not to touch sick
or dead birds and to wash hands thoroughly with soap after contact with any animal.

The Food Standards Agency said properly cooked poultry and poultry products,
including eggs, were safe to eat...'

Just to get it straight, the lock-downs in the UK are in place to protect the public from a disease, right?

Quote:Leicester man jailed for attacks on children

'A man who slit the throat of a 10-year-old boy as part of a string of random attacks has been jailed for life.
Carlos Vinodchandra Racitalal, 33, targeted victims unprovoked at various locations in Leicester, his trial heard.
He drove into a five-year-old girl and attacked a mother, who was with her two young children, and a lone shopper.

Carlos Vinodchandra Racitalal.

The judge said it was no exaggeration to say the 10-year-old boy "came within millimetres of death".

Racitalal, formerly of Finsbury Road, was convicted of attempted murder on Thursday and sentenced earlier to 21
years at Leicester Crown Court. Judge Mr Justice Thomas Linden QC said the offences "clearly demonstrate" he
was dangerous.

He said: "You armed yourself with a weapon in at least three of theses cases, went out and identified vulnerable
members of the public to attack."

The court heard on 2 January the defendant drove into the back of the five-year-old girl in an Asda car park off Abbey
Lane. Twelve days later, on 14 January, he attacked a woman as she walked home with her children, aged three and
six, and stabbed her in the back of the head.
In a further attack on 16 January, he targeted a man who was on his way home after a shopping trip.

Prosecutors said the final attack on the 10-year-old on 18 January left him with a 10cm (4in) deep gash to his neck.
The court heard Racitalal handed himself in two days later after CCTV of the attacks was released on social media.
he judge added: "Your attacks were random in the sense they were without any reason, still less provocation.

"It is also clear that your methods were likely to result in death as you intended, or very serious injury. It was only through
luck rather then judgement that you did not achieve your objectives."

'Senseless, unprovoked attacks'
He added: "You are one of the more frightening types of offender from the point of view of the public, and particularly
vulnerable members of the public, in that they will have no inkling of what is about to happen and therefore no opportunity
to take evasive action.

"An additional concern is your apparent lack of insight into what you have done."

Mr Justice Linden added a psychiatric report of Racitalal was "unable to identify any psychiatric or other disorder which
accounts for your actions or your professed inability to recall the attacks". Andrew Baxter from the Crown Prosecution

"The level of violence used is deeply disturbing and is one of the most shocking cases I have overseen for some time.
Each one of these victims has been through a terrifying ordeal and it is down to fortune and the intervention of others
nearby that all of them survived."

Racitalal was found guilty of four counts of attempted murder and one count of causing grievous bodily harm.
Jurors also convicted him of three counts of possession of a bladed article, one of attempted grievous bodily harm and
one of dangerous driving...'

'A man has today appeared in court charged with the rape and kidnap of a teen girl in Mitcham.

He appeared at Croydon Magistrates' Court today to face the two charges.
Nelson was remanded in custody to appear at Inner London Crown Court on November 19.
The teenage girl, whose age hasn't been released, is being supported by officers.

Police were scrambled to Mitcham in south London after the alleged early morning attack.
Nelson was arrested at around 8pm in Tooting after an image was circulated by police.
He had been urged by police to hand himself in "for his own safety".

The Met issued an emergency Section 60 dispersal order - giving officers the power to search
anyone and instruct them to leave the area. It came hours after Scotland Yard warned people not to
"take the law into their own hands" after crowds of locals are said to have visited various addresses
following the alleged attack...'

Quote:Police failings left Rotherham predator Arshid Hussain free to abuse girls

'Multiple failings left a violent predator free to target, groom and sexually abuse vulnerable children
in Rotherham, a report by the police watchdog has found.

South Yorkshire police knew in 2000 that Arshid Hussain had “a number of relationships with young girls
in foster care”. The force took no action against him until one of his child victims, Sammy Woodhouse,
told her story to The Times in 2013.

He's not worth naming.

Her account, using the pseudonym Jessica, triggered the inquiry that exposed the town’s child exploitation
scandal, finding that 1,400 girls suffered appalling abuse by groups of men who were “almost all” of
Pakistani heritage.
Hussain, 45, was jailed for 35 years in 2016 for 23 offences against nine girls including Ms Woodhouse.

The judge said his victims were “targeted, sexualised and in some cases subjected to acts of a degrading
and violent nature”.

After five years the Independent Office for Police Conduct released its rulings this week on complaints by
Ms Woodhouse against the South Yorkshire force. It upheld a complaint that police failed to “deal appropriately
with information which may have led to a suspect being prosecuted at an earlier stage, thereby exposing other
children to abuse”.

The report reveals that in March 2000, an entry in the force intelligence system stated there were concerns
about Hussain and young girls and that he “is at present involved in a relationship with Samantha Woodhouse
[then 14], who is pregnant by him”.

It said: “Hussain . . . has, in the past, had a number of relationships with young girls who are in foster care.
He targets young, vulnerable women.”

Records show police arranged a deal that month by which Hussain agreed to deliver Ms Woodhouse, who
was missing from home, to officers. He was neither questioned, nor arrested.

The watchdog said the police constable thought to have brokered the handover, at a petrol station, Hassan
Ali, would have been served with a gross misconduct notice, but died in 2015.

In June 2000 a multi-agency meeting discussed Hussain, his brothers and girls who were being exploited.
A social worker’s report identified several children, including Ms Woodhouse, as “girls Arshid Hussain uses
for sex”.

It was agreed to meet again in September but there is no evidence it took place.
A social worker told the watchdog: “There was no movement with taking action against the perpetrators,
including the Hussain brothers.”

Ms Woodhouse, said to be immature and “very naive”, entered foster care in July 2000 but could still spend
time with her abuser. Her foster carer recalled she had an “older boyfriend” but believed that social services
“were content with the relationship”.

The girl’s allocated social worker had a “large caseload” and “did not have time to read up on her history and
background”. She later discovered that Hussain, then 25, who had been jailed for robbery, affray, violent disorder
and intimidation, was married with four children.

“It appeared everyone had a lot of information . . . but no one seemed to co-ordinate it,” the social worker added.
Ms Woodhouse said the 66-page report was a “bittersweet moment”. “I’ve been waiting 19 years for this. It shows
that if professionals had taken action when I was a child, the suffering of so many more girls and their families
could have been prevented.
Far too many lives have been ruined.”

South Yorkshire police has accepted the findings. No police officer faces any disciplinary charges. It was “deeply
sorry that Sammy was not identified as a victim at the time of the abuse against her”. Lauren Poultney, assistant
chief constable, said owing to her bravery police had a “deeper understanding of the issues”.
“That said, Sammy should not have had to suffer,” she added...'

The pair, both aged 34 and from east London, were held in Pall Mall, which connects Trafalgar

They were arrested on suspicion of the preparation of terrorist acts, contrary to section five of the

"The public can help us continue to keep London safe by being vigilant and reporting any suspicious

Am I to take it that gentleman is somewhat piqued at police inaction and then police oversight inaction?

Just a bit miffed?

I was slightly surprised that he didn't point out the similarity of the dead copper's name with the perpetrator's name... you know, the cop that let the guy continually get away with it, It seems to me there may have been a bit of quid-pro-quo going on amongst countrymen, perhaps even family, there...

.
Diogenes was eating bread and lentils for supper. He was seen by the philosopher Aristippus, who lived comfortably by flattering the king.

Said Aristippus, ‘If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.’ Said Diogenes, ‘Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.’

Oh yes, the fix is in -in many of these northern towns and in the name of diversity, people from 'particular
communities' joining the Police is seen as a good idea. Amjad Hussain (who who also uses the surname Ditta)
probably didn't see the actions of the Pakistan men as anything unusual.

'There has been another weekend of bloodshed in London.
Fatal stabbings took place in Croydon, Lambeth, and Kensal Green while a woman is fighting for her
life in Hackney.

Elsewhere, a man died in a fire in Harrow, although the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
A man has suffered potentially life changing injuries after a fight in Tower Hamlets and fighting in
Poplar between two armed groups also took place.
These are the incidents we have reported on that have shocked Londoners this weekend.

Woman shot in Hackney
A woman in her thirties is in life-threatening condition in hospital after being shot in Hackney.
Police were called to Westgate Street at 8:52pm on Sunday 22 November after reports of a shooting.

He will appear in custody at Croydon Magistrates Court on Monday (November 23).

Man dies in Kensal Green stabbing
Emergency services rushed to the scene at Kensal Green Cemetery on Harrow Road at around 2pm
on Sunday (November 22). They found a man who had been stabbed and, despite the hard work of
first responders, died at the scene.

There are no further details about the victim yet and police are trying to trace his next of kin.
One arrest has been made in connection with the incident - a 50-year-old, who is in police custody
and police continue to guard the scene.

A spokesperson for the Met Police said: "Police were called at 2pm on Sunday November 22 to Harrow
Road, Kensal Green to reports of a stabbing. "Officers, London Ambulance Service and London Air

North Yorkshire Police called the move an "important change" and highlighted the need to represent the

PC Uzma Amireddy, who designed the headscarf with PC Arfan Rahouf, became the first officer to wear a

Those behind the two-piece design, with a section covering the head and another covering the neck, said it

I want to serve the British community and I love the job that I do as a police officer, but it shouldn't hinder me
in practising my religion.
"I didn't want to leave half of myself at home when I go in to do the job that I love."

Other forces such as the Metropolitan Police in London and Police Scotland offer the option of a uniform hijab.
PC Rahouf, force operational lead for faith and belief, said he was "immensely proud" of the design.

"We've now been invited to have conversations in a national forum regarding regarding this hijab and whether
it becomes part of national uniform," he said. "It's fit for purpose, sends the right message, professional and it
makes the person wearing it feel valued."

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "It's really important for North Yorkshire Police to make sure that
the uniform for each and every police officer is fit for purpose. "We need to be more representative of the
communities we serve, in order for us to be an inclusive workforce and deliver a better service to all of our

So has this madness escalated during the last few years? last 10 years? Or is the media reporting more, and it has actually been like this for centuries?

You're not far-wrong with your assumption, London -like a few other cities in the UK, has a particular tone to
it that certainly opposes what the holiday brochures imply. A lot of the 'Happy Unicorn' multicultural information
hides the simple fact that a societal gulf and lower-standard lifestyles are feeding the division we occasionally
hear about in the MSM.

It's part of the Class-struggle that is firmly embedded in the UK's population. In the past, it was the white working-class
from northern communities that saw the capital and its environs enjoy the wealth of the nation. That North-South divide
diluted a little as London and what they call 'the home counties' expanded their range due to increased population.

When different UK Governments slowly shut down the coal industry and ship-building was no longer required (given away
for political reasons), these communities around the country were at the mercy of the London-based bureaucracies for
charity in the form of welfare.

Whole families were split-up or moved across country to be housed and forgotten in council paid-for accommodation.
That feeling of belonging to something was eroded and the worship of mammon became the norm. In fact, the Eighties
was a time the whole world looked to the capture of money as a way of being happy.
Today, that addiction is seen as normal.

As other less-manual technologies grew and generations of people were left behind due to the inability to grasp the new
way of commerce, a culture of resignation lay just beneath a once proud perception of what it was to be 'British'.
This effected all aspects of ethnicity, the colour of your skin makes no difference to those who manage a country's
finance.

Certain realms of traditional education remained strong and this -of course, was where the 'elite' who served in Government
were nursed from. But Britain became puzzlingly wealthier and even though wages and prices seemed to be compatible,
the never-spoken-about working-class were replaced with the title 'middle-class'.

But the truth is the middle-class has moved up into the 'upper-class' and those who enjoyed that lofty place became the
those who serviced the nation's new prosperity. But that abundance of good fortune tends to remain in the south.

Recently, a similar change in naming as took place when the London-based MSM discuss 'the north'.
They look to the Manchester region as the area where fiscal influence should be offered and I tend to think this is merely
due to the everyday interactions with those in that part of the country and a place called 'Media City UK'.

This fairly-new place is where BBC and Independent Television (ITV) have their studios and pretend that they are
reaching out to understand what the rest of the country is like. It's bullshit of course, when any interviews are
performed -especially now via the many cloud-based video services, they primarily talk to people from London.

There's a whole section of England that gets left out of these discussions and it runs right up to the borders of
another UK nation that deals with an entirely different set of rules of how they're perceived by the British
Government. (Gordi places his whisky glass on the bar and steps up to the stage!)
..............................................

So if the English working-class were ignored and forgotten and the middle-class moved up a peg, who is the
new 'working-class'? Oh... that one's easy.

British Indians, British Pakistanis, British Chinese, Polish, Latvians, British Moroccans... in fact, anyone who isn't a white
indigenous person that went -and could afford to go to, a prestigious university or/and came from a 'blue-blood' background.

Oh, I know all of this may seem so stereotypical and bitter, but it is true and the accuracy of this reality can be born out by
the length of time such clichéd class-struggle attitude has endured. Those of certain ethnicities are seen as peoples who can
easily tolerate a lower income -a slave-labour wage, if you will.

Hence, the mass movement of people from poorer backgrounds by organisations to benefit Europe. It wasn't enough to
have the home-grown communities serve those on the higher rungs of a society's ladder, savings could be made by
bringing in an even 'cheaper' population.

And that's why the mainstream media keep banging-on about race, lesbians and gay men, faiths and the poo-pooing of
nationalism, a simple diversionary tactic to keep you from discussing the one subject that's missing in all of the recent
agendas.
The Social Class of Great Britain.
............................................

By the way, I'm only talking about England here, you wait until Gordi steps in to relate how the Scottish are perceived
by the English Government.

Here's a comedic hint of what I was on about.

Cheers. Yeah, from here where I live, we'd see that as the South.

Don't get me wrong, with the 32 boroughs of London, Brighton and Oxford only being placed in tier 2
-yet the little village of Bempton in the East Riding of Yorkshire being locked down in tier 3,
the political optics seem far different from the way the media have portrayed these separate communities.

It's the manner of categorising districts that I find difficult to appreciate. Villages that are separated by miles
ordered to hunker down and have a lousy Christmas, whilst extremely built-up areas that are common in cities
have a more relaxed ruling due to a trick that the Prime Minister offered to the nation.

Liverpool was deemed a city where the deadly plague was running rife and then a testing regime was put in
place a couple of weeks ago. The media made a big-thing of the Kung Flu being a shadow over the city and
heavily focused on it with massive dollops of fear-porn.

When the announcements came to decide that after the nationwide lock-down a tier-system would be activated,
Liverpool was said to have 'earned' their position in tier 2 due to that testing trial. This, even though the amount
of people who actually took part in the trial was low, showed that if you went long with the Government's requirements,
assured the punishments would be lesser than other areas of the country.

So what happens...? many councils of towns and cities that failed to reach that level asked for that testing system
because it seemed to be a way out of their situation! Problem + Solution = Reward.
Testing is now agreed as a low way of solving the Covid problem and yet, Governments (who have paid vast
fortunes out for the equipment) waved the testing system in front of the public as a magical key to their dilemma.

This isn't sour-grapes and I can understand how London, Oxford and the coastal wonderland of the LGBT community
can be deemed more important than some little village in the East Riding of Yorkshire. But I fear that the real potential
victims of this crippling virus are not being singled-out due to other factors that may not be politically correct.
