I know that's how they frequently do business, but it's not really an "informed" consent, and I believe could be fought against in court - no one is going to read a small book just to have someone else scrape their brain through their nose with a cotton swab.

Since a lot of those tested in mass, and injected in mass, never signed anything, they may stand a chance, if it ever goes to court, but the system is set up to cover any pesky dissenters.

The fact that they bombarded the air waves, and social media with information about the virus and the vaccines, they can claimed the folk were informed, and the fact that they willingly, showed up in mass, waited for  hours, and allowed themselves to be swabbed, and or injected, would speak strongly of consent.

Consent can be tricky if the person is not of sound mind, or under the influence of alcohol or drugs. I am not sure it would work in a court of law, if you are under the influence of a lying corrupt establishment.

It would be wonderful if we had a chance at winning on those grounds, but with our present system, I don't think we stand a chance.

32 mutations you say? THAT certainly sounds suspicious, for 32 mutations to show up suddenly in a single variant... it's almost like someone were intentionally tinkering with it...

Natural mutations evolve towards increased spread, but decreased lethality. Killing off the host organism slows spread, and natural mutations evolve towards increased spread. The mass vaccination programs would tend towards evolving mechanisms to bypass the vaccine, and more vaccinated would tend towards more chances for those mutations to occur, be successful, and propagate. I would expect something like that to naturally show up in a high vaccine population, like Israel, rather than South Africa, but I don't know what the vaccination rate in South Africa is, so I could be wrong about that. It does seem suspiciously soon for those mutations to occur naturally.

All that to say that this new variant just doesn't sound like a natural occurrence to me.

Personally, I think the answer to this is more national lockdowns - closing borders to EVERYONE not a citizen of that nation - than increasing globalization and erasing borders. That would confine these new "variants" to their points of origin, and slow the spread worldwide. The lockdowns would need to be proactive rather than reactive. Locking the barn door after the horse is already loose doesn't really solve anything.

I would also expect any new variants to start in Asia currently. Remember that Chinese hypersonic missile test? Remember that it "released" something over the South China Sea? I would expect a new variant, therefore, to start in that vicinity, and spread from there. fact is, this one may have started in Hong Kong (it's present there, according to the articles), and then spread to South Africa FROM there. South Africa is less hygiene-conscious, so it would stand a better chance of spreading enough to be "discovered" there.

Things just get curiouser and curiouser...

Well that's certainly new! The Australian totalitarian crackdowns are no longer "for the children", they are now "for the Aborigines"!

The new "heavily mutated" South African variant of the virus is being called the "omicron variant" (we're fast approaching the "Omega Strain", aren't we?) here in the US. BidenHarris has decreed travel from South Africa and 5 more countries surrounding it is to be closed starting Monday. "Why wait until Monday?", one might ask - clearly, it is to ensure that we get a good stout dose of the virus variant here before the travel ban takes effect.

Never mind the fact that when Trump banned travel to and from China when this thing started... in China... it was deemed "racist" back then, but apparently re-deemed as "good" now. Maybe this time it's not "racist" because travel is being banned from majority Black nations? I dunno.

I don't think he is closing travel to and from Hong Kong, however, where this variant is also alive and well. Go figure.

They inject that crap and boom.....then they start the mass hysteria again, because of new mutants ...

One of the things I find curious is that this "vax resistant variant" is showing up in South Africa. Their vax rate is around 25%, and so does not present the selection pressures for a vax resistant strain that a far more vaxed nation like Israel does. So why is it showing up where it doesn't need to develop, instead of where it normally WOULD develop?

A crazy person would suggest it either mutated to resist a vaccine it had only heard about from postcards
sent from its European & US brethren, that it's all political-speak to retrain certain groups' grasp on power
or a manufactured virus that demands the public purchasing the next 'almost-cure' that'll be available in
three weeks.

Good point.  Some article added that the new "super strain/mutation/variant was first detected in 4 foreign person in South Africa, who had diplomatic status . ( if i remember right )

One of the first contaminated was discovered in Hong Kong and arrived from South Africa. (I'll find the source)
Meanwhile, let's treat the virus in the same manner as the MSM, shall we?!

Due to Bojo's worrying popularity in the polls (like they're not rigged!), he's decided to push the 'Christmas Lockdown' button
just enough to keep his fellow-Journalists in work over the Yuletide period. Remember, officially there are over 66 million
people in the UK.

Quote:Travel and mask rules tightened over Omicron variant

'Face coverings will become mandatory again in shops and on public transport in England from next week under a raft
of measures to target the new Covid variant, Omicron, the PM has said. PCR tests for everyone entering the UK will be
introduced and all contacts of new variant cases will have to self-isolate, even if fully jabbed.

The Jester.

But Boris Johnson said Christmas would be "considerably better" than in 2020.
The measures were "temporary and precautionary", he added.

Mr Johnson announced the restrictions at a Downing Street news conference after it was confirmed that two Omicron cases
had been detected in Brentwood, Essex, and Nottingham. Officials said the cases were linked and connected to travel in
southern Africa. The new variant was first reported from South Africa on Wednesday, with early evidence suggesting it has
a higher re-infection risk.

Mr Johnson said: "We need to slow down the spread of this variant here in the UK, because measures at the border can only
ever minimise and delay the arrival of a new variant rather than stop it all together." He said the new measures would be
reviewed in three weeks, by which time they should have better information about the "continuing effectiveness" of vaccines.

The prime minister said the "tightening up" of the mask rules will be outlined by Health Secretary Sajid Javid "in the next day
or so" Covid restrictions were tightened across the UK days before Christmas last year amid a surge in cases.

Asked by the BBC's Iain Watson if the prime minister could say with any confidence whether or not people could keep their
Christmas plans this year, Mr Johnson replied: "We continue to be in a strong position largely thanks to the speed of the vaccine
rollout, another booster rollout, and... I'm pretty confident to absolutely confident this Christmas will be considerably better than
last Christmas."

Countries around the world are introducing travel bans and restrictions on southern African countries in an effort to contain the
variant's spread.

Under the plans:
*Everyone entering the UK will have to take PCR test by the second day of their arrival and self-isolate until they receive a negative
result
*All contacts of suspected Omicron cases must self-isolate, regardless of whether or not they are fully jabbed
*Face coverings will be made compulsory in shops and on public transport - but hospitality settings will be exempt from the changes
*The health secretary is to ask advisers to consider rapidly extending boosters, including reducing the gap between the second dose
of the vaccine and the booster
*The UK's chief medical officer, Prof Chris Whitty, said was a "reasonable chance" that vaccines could be less effective against the new
variant but stressed people who are vaccinated or receive the booster jab will be less likely to become seriously ill.

He said the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation would now need to decide whether to extend the booster vaccine down
to adults age 18, and whether a second dose should be offered to children aged 12-15.He did not indicate when PCR tests would begin
and in a press release the Department of Health only said it was among the measures being "introduced from next week"...'
