Smart lady.  The great thing about growing weed is you don't have to try.  The shit comes up everywhere where I am.  Try growing edible stuff and non usable weeds take over.

Sigh, and now they are banning vaping in Australia.  You can still smoke tobacco and weed at home but don't vape!

So now I'm going to grow my own tobacco and weed and puff away.  Will miss my bourbon vapes.

Kind regards,

After you find yours in a size 15, can you please pick me up a pair as well in a size 6?

OMFG!  I just showed 'True Love'  We both want a pair.  Just just see me at my log-splitter now splitting wood then turning up with deliveries.  I'd be the talk of the village (what's left of it) and get orders just to see me wearing a pair.

Sigh.

They occasionally flirt with the same sorts of bans here in the US, so the missus and I hedged our bets. We have enough VG, PG, nicotine, and flavorings to last us the next 20 years in case we have to go underground and roll-your-own vapes become a thing. In other words, we have the "stuff" to go underground and vape longer than I am likely to last.

Yay for the Underground!

Yeah, I switched to rolling my own smokes several years ago. I now pay something like 80 cents for a pack of smokes that I can create in 15 minutes while watching the news.

No carpet glue rings around the inside of the tubes, no nasty chemicals in the 'baccy, and no mean looks from cashiers when the old man with a cane wants a pack of Marlboros. My local 'baccy store is happy to see me walk in!

The Democrat Flu closed them down for a few weeks, but I gots me a nice little stash that'll take me through several months.

Next step is to grow my own... working on setting up a plot somewhere easily defensible. It's gonna be hard to drive me from my home, but from my 'baccy patch? NEVER! DIE COMMIES!

I am so lucky I am away from the little darlings who want to destroy much of which took from 1776 to build.

Many of my stateside friends have hunkered down (armed) at home and are hoping the insanity does not come to their dwellings.

When words are not enough they know Smith and Wesson (or his like minded friends) is always there as a back up. Most are old so they figure they have little to lose if words fail.

Of course vaping is being frowned at, the old-robber barons don't want their monopoly threatened!
As I've said before, think of the basics that many countries grow up with and never dwell on a world
without such commodities.

Paper. The media were quick to tell you couldn't catch the virus of newspapers.
Paper. The sudden rush to acquire toilet rolls became a news item and pushed the public to buy more
because of the media urging.
Paper. Make your own 'PPE' masks with two rubber bands and a wad of tissue paper. Real masks are
made with non-woven material, but again, the media suggested paper.

Flour. In the UK access to flour stopped almost overnight at the beginning of the flu-scare. The public
panicked into thinking if food-shortages (another Robber Baron avenue!) were to be a regular situation,
home-baking is a must.
Flour. Even as I write this, buying a bag of flour in supermarkets is still a hit-and-miss. The quote is that
the bread-making businesses are going flat-out to provide -what we're told is, a basic component of
everyday-living.

Tobacco. Many earlier media reports indicated smokers 'could have' built up a special immune system to
deal with the intake of cigarette smoke. The same reports suggested the virus struggled to survive in
smokers' lungs.

Now think about how during such an alleged global crisis with food-outlets and Supermarkets being closed
and restrictions of travel being a concern, how would you -an investor and sole/major owner of products
that are built-into first-world social structures, would continue to hold sway in such a global 'shutdown'?

I constantly monitor flights across the world to see what effects this flu outrage caused and even though
commercial airlines were reduced, cargo transport never wavered and seemed to increase.
Transport of what you need is also a big item on an Industrialist's list of assured money-making.

Start with the basics and one can see how the last few months have benefited those who hold the strings
on how we live and what we purchase.

This isn't necessarily a negative posting, but it does show the level of dependency the general public have
on a system -that in reality, we don't truly need. That doesn't mean everyone should start a Seattle-style
garden made of cardboard under-felt and picket-fencing around one's plot, but appreciation of one's place
in a controlled system can help to see how it all works.

Now... why this disease had such an impact on the world, is the next question!

Yeah, that's a fact - you eventually reach a point if you live long enough that life in prison is just not much of a deterrent any more.

I've thought about growing my own. This used to be a BIG tobacco growing area years ago, but I've not seen any in years, since the government ended the allotments. Now I probably couldn't even get seed locally. I've thought about getting some seed of nicotania rustica off the internet - that shit will put some HAIR on yer chest!

Grace's take on the vape ban situation is that the bans are being driven by "big tobacco", as it severely curtails their revenue until they can ramp up enough to get in on the game.

Our solution was to stock up on makings and gear. Grace already makes all our vape juice now.

We've already gone underground.

What I'm studying up on is production of nicotine from grown tobacco.

We will make it entirely from scratch if push comes to shove comes to gunshots.
