ATS isn’t the topics nor all the posts. What made it a destination was the community. And what made the community was the Civility and Decorum, not so much the T&C. Attempts to purchase are well and good as are the attempts to offsite some threads. But just know what made it ATS. 

Digging around I found a thread that was a simple interpretation of the T&C’s that boiled down to “Don’t be a jerk” at each part. Sure it was funny that one of he owners/admins jumped on a general account named abovetopsecret.com and posted it. Still a public thread just well buried. It was a moment of fun. 

We lightened up despite objections. idk if the results would have been the same with Google defunding the site. But I wonder if we had held a firmer hand if things wouldn’t have been so sloppy at the end. Or if we had held the deeper bot tags for Alexa rankings to stay above 2000 instead of slipping to nearly 32,000.

I remember when some butthurt leftist wrote a Wiki page about ATS... They bashed y'all, especially burdman30ott6.

Hi everyone. ChiefD here. Good to see some of you who migrated to this site. I see some of you carried your avatars over from ATS. I’m trying to figure out how to do that. 

I agree with what some of you said regarding ATS being special because of the people. I will miss it if it goes away, but I have the memories of some friendships on there too. Glad to see you all here.

I love a good hate filled laugh...that one was just sad. And woefully inaccurate. 

I can think of three moderators that have used variations of the Stars and Bars. I have used a US Flag with “It’s not hate, it’s heritage.” emblazoned upon it as well. 

ATS Live had zero to do with videos with the exception of two that I made both as contests sponsored by the show, but not “part” of it. There may have been a couple others made for the first contest by other members. It was 10 years ago. 

I’ll give it a .03 on a scale of 1 to 10.
