'Remains' of Loch Ness monster wash ashore
Posted by: guohua - 07-02-2016, 01:02 PM - Forum: Cryptozoology - Replies (3)

Yes that's the Title and I don't believe it, why would there be a skeleton and the intestines still in the rib cage area but no flesh?
The intestines would be eaten or strung out for a hundred yards.

Quote:Has the Loch Ness monster finally been found?
Strange dinosaur-like remains that supposedly washed ashore on the banks of Loch Ness this week have many wondering whether Ole Nessie is actually real.
It all started on June 29, when animal adoption organization Help2Rehome Scotland posted a photo of the grisly remains on Facebook.
The organization said the remains were found by someone walking their dogs.
“Has Nessy been found? Or someone playing a fascinating prank,”the group said in the post.

  Citizen gone Rogue.
Posted by: Sol - 07-01-2016, 03:28 PM - Forum: Hot Button Issues - Replies (8)

As I am sitting here having my first coffee of the day, I am wondering…

What does it mean to be a Rogue?

It certainly isn’t being part of the X-Men team or being an IMF agent on the run, that much is for sure.

It certainly isn’t a nifty Star Wars saga either and even though all of those three stories are pretty cool, they hold no context in our present reality.

So what does it really mean to be a Rogue?

I believe that the very first trademark is that a Rogue has defined his or her own reality, independent of what others may think, believe or follow and even though a Rogue may join a group of other Rogues – thus Rogue-Nation – the very notion of being a Rogue is his or her own, respectfully shared with others.

When looking at it that way, I can only describe what a Rogue is for me, as each and every one of you also have a very personal description of what it means to be a Rogue, which I hope you’ll share.

I’ve titled this post “Citizen gone Rogue“as it represents what ‘I believe’ a Rogue represents, or at the very least explains why one has become Rogue; once again, described through what these eyes have seen and what these ears have heard.

For one, I believe that as a Rogue, I am a Citizen of the World. I was born on a planet that’s on the third row from our Sun. Why should it matter which part of the Earth I was born on? .I happen to be born in Canada but I could have been born in Russia, China, India or Somalia…any of which would have sent my life into an entirely other direction. Why is that? Labels.

So I believe that as a Rogue, I no longer need to believe in Labels. Labels are a control mechanism set in place by those in power to divide us, in any way they can.

It all started with the Color Label, identifying groups and delimiting territories and oh that worked so well. Living on different continents wasn’t enough already to divide us. Division is Power to those who implement it. Countries. Provinces and states. Counties. Municipalities. Agglomerations. Neighborhoods and Gangs. Then You. Yes, the little ‘individualized’ you – That’s the goal. Alone, you can’t do squat. Still, they have us believe that, as a ‘society’ It doesn’t really matter where we were born. We are labeled as to where you live. Don’t believe me? Think Ghetto, New York and tell me if Yellow is the first color that comes to mind. Ironic that a color does come to mind. The first think that should come to mind is American. But as I said, they’ve played the game well.

But if that wasn’t enough, they’ve thrown in more divisions.

Let’s talk about the Religious Label. That one’s a masterpiece. I don’t want to get into more divisions between us so I’ll just say that for most on this planet, the Label applies as to where we were born, sadly. It’s more of a geographical Label – again – than an actual choice. But as I said, that one’s a masterpiece.

If Color and Religion wasn’t enough already…and let’s not forget that the goal here is to compartmentalize you inside a little box that only says ‘ Me’ …then why not throw in a little Gender Label here and there. That’s the new trend.

Let’s have a look at the LGBT Label as it’s become a Label to hate on, much like the Religious one or the Color one.

Here’s a question for you; Do Labels make us love one another or hate one another?

Ask a Christian in a Muslim country. Label. Ask a Black person in the Bronx. Label. Ask a Homosexual that is about to be thrown off a roof top. Label. Ask a Palestinian or an Israeli. Label.

Why? Why should it be that way? Because those at the very top for whom we are a threat as a group but a joke as an individual entity have been planning this for centuries through p.o.l.i.t.i.c.s. The Ultimate Plan.

It does not matter if you live where being a Lesbian is accepted or not. You now feel the need to stand up and say ‘ I’m a Lesbian and I want to live like everyone else’. Haven’t we heard that before from other Labels? Does the name Rosa Parks mean anything to you?

We are presently having debates for gender washrooms. Yep. Where does a Trans go? He/She has the right to his or her own…right?

Here’s another question for you? If we have to ask for a ‘right’…doesn’t that mean that we have limited rights? To me, it does. So who holds all the rights?

But let’s stick to Labels. How about the Mental Illness Label? If you don’t think that this is a Label, I recommend spending a bit of time in a Psych Ward near you. Depression kills more people every year than any other sickness. Now remember, being dead does not necessarily mean being buried or cremated.

Unhappiness is at an all time high. And Big Pharma just loves it. Don’t get me wrong here, when needed, medication has its virtues. Personally, it did save my life. But why does unhappiness stick around, no matter what we try. Because, way inside, we know the world is not as it seems. Way inside, we know that we are no longer free.

The best slave is the one who does not think he’s a slave. They eradicated slavery? Oh the irony. No. They universalized it, under everyone’s nose. You are Free ! Free to buy land, a home, a brand new car, that boat you love, those travels you enjoy…free free free to work your ass off to pay them off. Until. You. Die. Think on that for a minute.

Labels.

Playing politics? Yeah..it’s like playing chess but you always remain the pawn. Blue or Red? Left or Right? Democrat or Republican? Liberal or Conservative?

Which Label do you allow yourself to fit it? Freedom of choice. Two solutions. It’s a great system, win or lose, you ALWAYS lose. Haven’t you noticed that yet?

Labels.

You’re allowed protesting if you wish to do so. Allowed as long as you don’t push it too far or you’ll get your face bashed in. Small groups preferably as big huge groups will get you arrested, pushed around, beaten or killed. If you can’t hate each other enough with all those divisions they’ve given you, they’ll help you with that. It’s part of the plan. 1986 Ring a bell?

Labels.

The Millenials. Yeah, that’s the latest Label for our youth. Play video games, spend your days on facebook, play on line games, stay within the confinements of your ‘Me’ box. Turbulent in school? You’re a kid, you are no longer allowed being turbulent. Ritalin. Big Pharma wins again. Obey. “They Live” Ring a bell?

Labels.

Morpheus from the movie “The Matrix” wasn’t that far off. They don’t want to turn you into batteries but they want to turn you into being complacent. Individually free and individually happy. Comfortable. Complacent. While you’re not. You've been thrown an illusion over your eyes and ears. Big time.

Anecdote. Once there was a dog sitting on a porch and every once in a while, the pooch would howl a little bit. A neighbor came by and asked its owner why the dog – which seemed to be sitting comfortably - why he’d let a howl out every now and then.

The owner replied that the dog was sitting on a nail that was sticking out. Wasn’t hurting it enough to move sideways but just enough to let a little howl out here and there..

What does it mean to be a Rogue? Loaded question. But I could answer as to what it could mean...And do tell...What could it mean to you?

To me...

As a Rogue, I no longer wish to believe in Division Labels. It’s hard but I try.

As a Rogue, I no longer wish to believe in Corrupt Politics. It’s hard but I try.

As a Rogue, I try to see the bigger picture, the real one. It’s hard but I try.

As a Rogue, I no longer wish to sit on a nail. It’s hard but I try.

As a Rogue, I no longer buy the individuality game. It’s hard but we try.

“One of the Few, the Proud, a Rogue.”

A Citizen gone Rogue.

Joe Scarborough: Lynch-Clinton Private Meeting 'Bad Judgment'

Quote:Attorney General Loretta Lynch should have never met privately on her plane with Bill Clinton earlier this week, MSNBC's "Morning Joe" panel agreed Thursday, as the meeting could have only been about one thing: the ongoing investigation into Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server while she was secretary of state.

"You can't make this up," host Joe Scarborough of the meeting. "There's no way you can let him come on your plane and talk privately. ... These two people showed the most extraordinarily bad judgment. And where was their staff? Who was on the plane with Loretta Lynch to say, 'you cannot do this?'"

"She shouldn't have let him on the plane," Bloomberg Politics editor Mark Halperin said. "He shouldn't have wanted to get on the plane."

"There's nothing else to talk about but the one thing," show co-host Mika Brzezinski said, after wanting to know what Clinton could have needed to know that he needed to meet with Lynch privately.

The former president and Lynch met for about 30 minutes while her government plane was parked on the Sky Harbor International Airport tarmac. According to ABC15 in Phoenix, Clinton was leaving when he learned Lynch would be landing, and he chose to wait to speak with her.
Special:
Their meeting, coming just hours before Republicans on the House Select Committee on Benghazi released their report on the 2012 attacks in Libya, raised eyebrows, but Lynch told reporters they had a social visitwhere they talked about her grandchildren, their travels, and his golfing.

"There was no discussion on any matter pending before the department or any matter pending with any other body," Lynch said. "There was no discussion of Benghazi, no discussion of State Department emails."

Meanwhile, Fox News' Greta Van Susteren on Thursday also lambasted Lynch and Clinton for their meeting.

"If I was Hillary Clinton, I'd take a frying pan to his head," she told Fox Business Network show host Maria Bartiromo.

She also attacked them for their meeting on her Twitter page.

Atlantis Discovered in the Bermuda Triangle
Posted by: Mystic Wanderer - 07-01-2016, 12:52 AM - Forum: Lost and Ancient - Replies (6)

[Image: bermuda-triangle-02.jpg?resize=700%2C408]

Paul Weinzweig and Pauline Zalitzki are two scientists who have confirmed that a gigantic city exists at the bottom of the ocean inside the Bermuda Triangle. They say the city includes several sphinxes and four giant pyramids plus other structures. There may be more.

[Image: atlantis+bermuda+triangle+cuba.jpg?w=660]

Quote:According to a report by Arclein of Terra Forming Terra, Cuban Subsea Pyramid Complex, the evidence points to the city being simultaneously inundated with rising waters and the land sinking into the sea. This correlates exactly with the Atlantis legend.

The disaster may have occurred at the end of the last Ice Age. As the Arctic icecap catastrophically melted it caused sea levels to rise quickly around the world, especially affecting the Northern Hemisphere. Coast lines changed; land was lost; islands (even island continents) disappeared.
At the end of last Ice Age sea levels were nearly 400 feet lower than present day levels. Once the waters began to rise, they rose swiftly. Conceivably, no technology then, or now, could have saved Atlantis from its watery grave. The evidence that land in what’s now the Caribbean also sank into the sea concurrently seems pretty certain.

Arclein observes:
Quote:“At the time uplifted portions of the Mid Atlantic Ridge subsided also including Lyonese and the home islands and land mass around the Azores. Even if that had not happened, this subsidence was amply large enough.
“This would have produced an orthogonal pressure forcing subsidence to either East or West. Since the ridge between Cuba and Yucatan is the natural point of weakness between the Gulf subsidence basin and the Caribbean subsidence basin, it naturally subsided deeply. The driver for all this was the hydrostatic changes brought about by both the original crustal shift of 12,900 years ago that I have called the Pleistocene Nonconformity and the slow uplift of the Hudson Bay Basin brought about by the ending of the Ice Age.”

This article was just published June 29, but according to a journalist, Luis M. Fernandez, the city was discovered decades ago, but the expedition was halted due to the Cuban missile crisis.

Quote:“The U.S. government discovered the alleged place during the Cuban missile crisis in the sixties, Nuclear submarines cruising in the Gulf (in deep sea) met pyramid structures. They immediately shut down the site and took control of him and the objects, in order that it will not come to Russians hands.”

There is a rather long article on this for those interested, so please read it all here: LINK

Wouldn't it be awesome if the Disclosure of Atlantis is finally revealed? Talk about changing history!   smallgreendancer

One Example of the Chaos Theory
Posted by: 727Sky - 06-30-2016, 11:23 PM - Forum: Science and Space...the Other Final Frontiers - Replies (1)

Quote:
In Chaos Theory, the “butterfly effect” is the name given to the sensitive connection between initial conditions in which an insignificant event in one state in non-linear systems, can result in sometimes catastrophic events in the universal state.

In other words, although unlikely, it is possible for a butterfly flapping its wings in Texas to cause a typhoon in the Japanese Sea.

Case in point: In mid-20th Century America, an easy 18-year-old female hippie attending a Honolulu college hooked up with an older, alcoholic Kenyan man on a student visa, who had a wife and child back in Africa. And this less than significant event started the complete collapse and dissolution of the United States of America

Zuckerberg Targets Trump; Blasts 'Fearful' Anti-Immigration, Anti-Trade Voices

Quote:Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg used his opening speech at his company's annual conference to speak out against those calling for a "wall," for "slowing immigration," and for "reducing trade." Zuckerberg's comments appeared directly aimed at the Republican frontrunner, Donald Trump.

"We stand for connecting every person. For a global community. For bringing people together. For giving all people a voice. For a free flow of ideas and culture accross nations," said Zuckerberg. "And this idea of connecting the world has gotten stronger over the last century."

Added the Facebook founder, "But now as I look around and as I travel around the world, I'm starting to see people and nations turning inward. Against this idea of a connected world and global community. I hear fearful voices calling for building walls and distancing people they label as 'others,' for blocking free expression, for slowing immigration, for reducing trade ... It takes courage to choose hope over fear."

The tech mogul tried to be optimistic. "Instead of building walls, we can help people build bridges. And instead of dividing people, we can bring people together. We do that one connection at a time. One innovation at a time."

"That's why I think the work we're doing together is more important now than ever before," said Zuckerberg.

Mark Zuckerberg Angers His Hawaiian Neighbors by Building 6-Foot Wall

Quote:Mark Zuckerberg’s construction of a 6-foot wall around his oceanfront property in Hawaii has reportedly made him a lightning rod in the community.

The wall around the 32-year-old Facebook billionaire’s more than 700-acre Kilauea property is reportedly being built to block noise from nearby roads.

Local residents are complaining, however, that the wall will block their views and the ocean breeze.

Mark Zuckerberg Reveals the Surprising Length of His Workday at Facebook

Mark Zuckerberg Puts Tape Over His Webcam

“The feeling of it is really oppressive. It’s immense,” Kilauea resident Gy Hall told The Garden Island newspaper. “It’s really sad that somebody would come in and buy a huge piece of land and the first thing they do is cut off this view that’s been available and appreciative by the community here for years.”

Other neighbors who spoke to the newspaper described the wall as a “monstrosity” and not “neighborly.”

“I’m super unhappy about that. I know that land belongs to Zuckerberg. Money is no option for him. I’m 5 [foot] 8, and when I’m walking, I see nothing but wall,” Kilauea resident Donna Mcmillen told The Garden Island. “It just doesn’t fit in with the natural beauty that we have here. There are people on the island who money can pay for anything. These kind of things that they do take away what Kauai is all about.”

According to Forbes, Zuckerberg spent upward of $100 million in 2014 to acquire the property, on Kauai’s North Shore. The Facebook CEO and his wife, Priscilla Chan, have an infant daughter.

Neighbors told The Garden Island they have tried to reach out to Zuckerberg, whose primary residence is in California, through letters and even signs on the wall.

“Somebody has been putting up signs, appealing to Zuckerberg’s generosity and humanity — polite signs on the wall — but those signs just get ripped off as soon as they appear,” Hall said. “There’s a total disconnect from what the community is concerned about and what he wants.”

In a statement, a representative for Zuckerberg’s Kauai operation told ABC News the wall is compliant with the area's rules and regulations.

“Rock walls like this one being built along the roadway are routinely used as sound barriers to reduce highway and road noise, and that is its primary purpose," the statement read. "The sound barrier follows all regulated rules and regulations by the county, and our entire team remains committed to ensuring that any development respects the local landscape and environment and is considerate of neighbors.”

One resident told ABC News the wall is traditional lava rock, which is consistent with the area.

Other observers are questioning if Zuckerberg is building the wall as a privacy measure. All beaches in Hawaii are open to the public, meaning anyone could approach the property by water.

His possible privacy concerns made headlines recently after he posted a photo on Facebookwith his laptop in the background, its camera and microphone jack apparently covered by tape.

The privacy measures were spotted by Twitter user Chris Olson.

From self driving trucks to armed drone aircraft it appears it is going to happen. I could see a day when one F-35 with it's zillion dollar sensors could have say, 4, F-16 drones flying air cover as the lone F-35 does it's strike mission..

It is every Top Gun's worst nightmare - an AI can can outmanoeuvre them in the air.
Now researchers have tested their AI on a retired top gun - and left him stunned.

The end of Top Guns? An AI has beated Air Force pilots in simulated showdowns for the first time.
A COMPREHENSIVE VICTORY
Retired United States Air Force Colonel Gene Lee took on the AI in a simulator.
Not only was Lee not able to score a kill against ALPHA after repeated attempts, he was shot out of the air every time during protracted engagements in the simulator.
The Artificial intelligence (AI) developed by a University of Cincinnati doctoral graduate was recently assessed by Lee - who holds extensive aerial combat experience as an instructor and Air Battle Manager with considerable fighter aircraft expertise.
He took on the software in a simulator.
The artificial intelligence, dubbed Alpha, was the victor in that simulated scenario, and according to Lee, is 'the most aggressive, responsive, dynamic and credible AI I've seen to date.'
Details on Alpha- a significant breakthrough in the application of what's called genetic-fuzzy systems are published in the most-recent issue of the Journal of Defense Management.
The system is designed for use with Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicles (UCAVs) in simulated air-combat missions for research purposes.

Alpha is currently viewed as a research tool for manned and unmanned teaming in a simulation environment.
In its earliest iterations, it consistently outperformed a baseline computer program previously used by the Air Force Research Lab for research.

In fact, it was only after early iterations of ALPHA bested other computer program opponents that Lee then took to manual controls against a more mature version of ALPHA last October.
Not only was Lee not able to score a kill against ALPHA after repeated attempts, he was shot out of the air every time during protracted engagements in the simulator.
Since that first human vs. ALPHA encounter in the simulator, this AI has repeatedly bested other experts as well, and is even able to win out against these human experts when its aircraft are deliberately handicapped in terms of speed, turning, missile capability and sensors.
Lee, who has been flying in simulators against AI opponents since the early 1980s, said of that first encounter against Alpha, 'I was surprised at how aware and reactive it was.

'It seemed to be aware of my intentions and reacting instantly to my changes in flight and my missile deployment. It knew how to defeat the shot I was taking.
'It moved instantly between defensive and offensive actions as needed.'
He added that with most AIs, 'an experienced pilot can beat up on it (the AI) if you know what you're doing.
'Sure, you might have gotten shot down once in a while by an AI program when you, as a pilot, were trying something new, but, until now, an AI opponent simply could not keep up with anything like the real pressure and pace of combat-like scenarios.'
But, now, it's been Lee, who has trained with thousands of U.S. Air Force pilots, flown in several fighter aircraft and graduated from the U.S. Fighter Weapons School (the equivalent of earning an advanced degree in air combat tactics and strategy), as well as other pilots who have been feeling pressured by ALPHA.
And, anymore, when Lee flies against ALPHA in hours-long sessions that mimic real missions, 'I go home feeling washed out. I'm tired, drained and mentally exhausted.
'This may be artificial intelligence, but it represents a real challenge.'

HOW IT WORKS: THE FUZZY TREE SYSTEM
The AI uses what's called a 'Genetic Fuzzy Tree' (GFT) system, a subtype of what's known as fuzzy logic algorithms.
Genetic fuzzy systems have been shown to have high performance, and a problem with four or five inputs can be solved handily.
That's where the Genetic Fuzzy Tree system and Cohen and Ernest's years' worth of work come in.
According to Psibernetix,  recently founded by UC College of Engineering and Applied Science 2015 doctoral graduate Nick Ernest, now president and CEO of the firm, 'the easiest way I can describe the Genetic Fuzzy Tree system is that it's more like how humans approach problems.
'Take for example a football receiver evaluating how to adjust what he does based upon the cornerback covering him.
'The receiver doesn't think to himself: 'During this season, this cornerback covering me has had three interceptions, 12 average return yards after interceptions, two forced fumbles, a 4.35 second 40-yard dash, 73 tackles, 14 assisted tackles, only one pass interference, and five passes defended, is 28 years old, and it's currently 12 minutes into the third quarter, and he has seen exactly 8 minutes and 25.3 seconds of playtime.''
'That receiver - rather than standing still on the line of scrimmage before the play trying to remember all of the different specific statistics and what they mean individually and combined to how he should change his performance - would just consider the cornerback as 'really good.''

'The cornerback's historic capability wouldn't be the only variable.
'Specifically, his relative height and relative speed should likely be considered as well.
'So, the receiver's control decision might be as fast and simple as: 'This cornerback is really good, a lot taller than me, but I am faster.'
'At the very basic level, that's the concept involved in terms of the distributed computing power that's the foundation of a Genetic Fuzzy Tree system wherein, otherwise, scenarios/decision making would require too high a number of rules if done by a single controller.'
The programming involved breaking up the complex challenges and problems represented in aerial fighter deployment into many sub-decisions, thereby significantly reducing the required 'space' or burden for good solutions.
The branches or sub divisions of this decision-making tree consists of high-level tactics, firing, evasion and defensiveness.
That's the 'tree' part of the term 'Genetic Fuzzy Tree' system.
The AI is so fast that it could consider and coordinate the best tactical plan and precise responses, within a dynamic environment, over 250 times faster than its human opponents could blink.
UC's Cohen added, 'Alpha would be an extremely easy AI to cooperate with and have as a teammate.
'It could continuously determine the optimal ways to perform tasks commanded by its manned wingman, as well as provide tactical and situational advice to the rest of its flight.'
Alpha and its algorithms require no more than the computing power available in a low-budget PC in order to run in real time and quickly react and respond to uncertainty and random events or scenarios.
According to a lead engineer for autonomy at AFRL, 'ALPHA shows incredible potential, with a combination of high performance and low computational cost that is a critical enabling capability for complex coordinated operations by teams of unmanned aircraft.'

To reach its current performance level, ALPHA's training has occurred on a $500 consumer-grade PC.
This training process started with numerous and random versions of ALPHA.
These automatically generated versions of ALPHA proved themselves against a manually tuned version of ALPHA.
The successful strings of code are then 'bred' with each other, favoring the stronger, or highest performance versions. In other words, only the best-performing code is used in subsequent generations. Eventually, one version of ALPHA rises to the top in terms of performance, and that's the one that is utilized.
Said Cohen, 'All of these aspects are combined, the tree cascade, the language-based programming and the generations. In terms of emulating human reasoning, I feel this is to unmanned aerial vehicles what the IBM/Deep Blue vs. Kasparov was to chess.'
