St. Peter at the Pearly Gates
Posted by: 727Sky - 08-22-2016, 10:37 AM - Forum: Religion and Matters of Faith - Replies (2)

Quote:A man died and went to heaven. As he stood in front of St. Peter at the Pearly Gates, he saw a huge wall of clocks behind him. He asked, "What are all those clocks?"

St. Peter answered, "Those are Lie-Clocks. Everyone on Earth has a Lie-Clock. Every time you lie, the hands on your clock will move."

"Oh," said the man, "whose clock is that?"

"That's Mother Teresa's. The hands have never moved, indicating that she never told a lie."

"Incredible," said the man. "And whose clock is that one?"

St. Peter responded, "That's Abraham Lincoln's clock. The hands have moved twice, telling us that Abe told only two lies in his entire life."

"Where's Hillary Clinton's clock?" asked the man.

"Hillary's clock is in Jesus' office. He's using it as a ceiling fan."

OBAMA RETURNING FROM SUMMER VACATION READY FOR BUSY FALL
Posted by: guohua - 08-22-2016, 12:50 AM - Forum: America's Ex-President Obama - Replies (1)

Now I won'd doubt it one bit, if he could golf he would.
The people of Baton Rouge, Louisiana are dying and suffering and he's at Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts golfing and relaxing.
The Rich there are Kissing His Ass and lining the streets to Bow to Him as he passes by.
The poor people die!
Quote:EDGARTOWN, Mass. (AP) -- President Barack Obama is returning from vacation rested and ready for a busy fall, including pressing Congress for money to protect against the Zika virus and fending off lawmakers' attacks over the administration's $400 million "leverage" payment to Iran.
Obama also is expected to campaign doggedly to help elect Democrat Hillary Clinton as president.

Obama was due at the White House late Sunday after a 16-day getaway to Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, with his wife, Michelle, and daughters Malia and Sasha. He began the day by going on a hike with the first lady and followed with his 10th round of vacation golf before heading to the airport.

Throughout the day, scores of residents lined roads to watch and wave as the motorcade crisscrossed the island on the last day of Obama's final vacation here as president. Signs posted around the various towns thanked the family for coming. He has spent all but one of his summers in office on the island.

His first order of business is a Tuesday trip to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to survey damage from flooding that killed at least 13 people and forced thousands into shelters.
The Asshole In-Charge
Didn't he and his Democrat friends say the Bush didn't respond fast enough to Katrina?
Where has Obama been?
Thank You D. Trump for showing You Cared, even if it was for Votes!

  DOOM 101
Posted by: guohua - 08-21-2016, 05:53 AM - Forum: Asian Affairs - Replies (1)

That's Right,,, DOOM,,, 101 N. Korea Style!
Would anyone here be surprised to read they are teaching their kids to prepare for the End Of The World,,,,, Except N. Korea Of-Course!  tinywondering

Quote:DOOM 101: North Korean students TAUGHT to prepare for the END OF WORLD
With that face and hair cut, Only Korean's can be Ordered To love!
Quote:NORTH Korean students are being taught classes about “doom” and the end of the world - heightening fears the country is preparing for a deadly showdown with its Western enemies.

In an editorial in state-run newspaper Rodong Sinmum, the director of the maverick state’s Institute for International Studies issued a terrifying prediction of an ultimate and devastating war.
O Yong Ran said: “The US nature as man-killers has become all the more undisguised with the passage of time.
“As leopard never changes its spots, the brutal nature of the US can never change.”

Exemplifying the type of teaching taking place within the secretive state, Yong Ran said it was the USA’s nuclear weapons which would ultimately lead to all-out war and the country's downfall.
Yong Ran’s editorial in the Pyongyang-based newspaper gives a rare glimpse at the exact content of education under Kim Jong-un’s.
However, South Korean spies and observers have reported a growing break-down of education in the country - and a subsequent growing anger at their crackpot leader’s leadership.
Huge numbers of students bribed guards last month in order to avoid attending events marking the anniversary of the end of the Korea War.
[Image: North-Korea-628385.jpg] What are they trying to say here? Their's is Bigger Than Ours?
Quote:A source revealed: “Many students don’t have any direct experience or concept of the war, so Victory Day holds no special meaning for them. A large portion expressed a preference to not attend related events.

“This movement underscores the fact that in contemporary North Korea, people are more likely to cautiously evaluate their loyalty to the Korean Workers’ Party. That’s what drives such a large number of students to avoid attending the event."

Officials: 22 Killed, 94 Hurt in Wedding Blast in Turkey
Posted by: senona - 08-21-2016, 12:29 AM - Forum: Breaking News - Replies (9)

Quote:ANKARA, Turkey — Officials say at least 22 people were killed in a bomb attack targeting an outdoor wedding ceremony in southeastern Turkey.

The governor's office for the province of Gaziantep said 94 people were wounded in Saturday's attack in the city of Gaziantep.
Deputy Prime Minister Mehmet Simsek said the "barbaric" attack appeared to be a suicide bombing. Other officials say it could have been carried out by Kurdish rebels or the Islamic State group.

Turkey has been rocked by a wave of attacks in the past year that have either been claimed by Kurdish militants linked to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party — known by its acronym PKK — or were blamed on IS.

In June, suspected IS militants attacked Istanbul's main airport with guns and bombs, killing 44 people.

Thought to be a suicide bomber.
How tragic, and at a wedding no less.
When it is supposed to be a happy day.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends of the victims.

Zika Virus May Harm Adult Brain
Posted by: senona - 08-20-2016, 09:55 PM - Forum: Physical Health - Replies (1)

Appears not to be just pregnant women who need to worry about the Zika virus and their unborn baby getting infected.
But Adults in general as well, according to the latest study.

Quote:Research using lab mice has shown for the first time that infection with the mosquito-borne Zika virus may damage adult brain cells, not just developing fetuses, said a study Thursday.

Adult cells involved in learning and memory can be destroyed by the viral infection, which is also blamed for a surge in the birth defect microcephaly, according to the findings in the journal Cell Stem Cell.

"Zika can clearly enter the brain of adults and can wreak havoc," said co-author Sujan Shresta, a professor at the La Jolla Institute of Allergy and Immunology.

Researchers know that Zika can be "catastrophic for early brain development," she added, but often adults who are infected show no symptoms. Those who do feel sick may report rash, body pain, and red eyes.

"Its effect on the adult brain may be more subtle, and now we know what to look for," said Shresta.

Researchers focused on neural progenitor cells, which are the early forms of brain cells that go on to become neurons.
Researchers describe them as the stem cells of the brain.

Zika can attack these neural progenitor cells in the developing fetuses, leading to microcephaly in babies, born with unusually small heads, brain damage and disabilities.
Adult brains retain some niches of these neural progenitor cells, which replenish neurons in parts of the brain linked to learning and memory.

Using fluorescent biomarkers in mice, the researchers saw that adult neural progenitor cells that were engineered to be vulnerable to Zika infection were killed off by the virus.

The study found that Zika infection was linked to a four- to 10-fold drop in the mice's adult stem cell proliferation.

Source

Now this latest news is worrisome indeed.
For all of us.

"It was very clear that the virus wasn't affecting the whole brain evenly, like people are seeing in the (human) fetus," said Gleeson, referring to the mice research.

"In the adult, it's only these two populations that are very specific to the stem cells that are affected by virus. These cells are special, and somehow very susceptible to the infection."

Before they were only focused on pregnant women.
But now looks as tho they are going to have to widen their research unfortunately to include possible affects Zika may have on Adults.

  Is Trump From the Future?
Posted by: Mystic Wanderer - 08-20-2016, 07:23 PM - Forum: Election 2016 ! - Replies (6)

In this thread from IMGUR they are discussing how Donald Trumps Uncle John gets Tesla's research papers and finds the blueprints for a time machine.  John doesn't have the technology available to build it, so he gave the blueprints to his nephew, Donald.
Donald has it built, goes into the future and then comes back and posts online as John Titor, warning everyone of a certain nuclear war. He understands the only way to prevent it is to run for POTUS and prevent it himself.

Interesting read for sure.

Quote:To Shoot or not to Shoot
Quote:
A man returns home a day early from a business trip. It's after midnight. While en-route home, he asks the cabby if he would be a witness.
The man suspects his wife is having an affair, and he wants to catch her in the act. For $100, the cabby agrees.
Quietly arriving home, the husband and cabby tip toe into the bedroom.
The husband switches on the lights, yanks the blanket back and there is his wife, naked, with a man.
The husband puts a gun to the naked man's head.

The wife shouts, 'Don't do it! I lied when I told you I inherited money.
HE paid for the Porsche I gave you.
HE paid for your new 25 ft. Ranger Fishing Boat .
HE paid for your Football season tickets.
HE paid for our house at the lake.
HE paid for your Golf Trip to St Andrews and your new 4 x 4.
HE paid for our country club membership and HE even pays the monthly dues!'

Shaking his head from side-to-side, the husband lowers the gun. He looks over at the cabby and says, 'What would you do'?
The cabby replies, 'I'd cover him with that blanket before he catches a cold.'

  Bill Clinton's loving Wife !

Bill Clinton's Loving Wife
By Dick Morris, former political advisor to President Bill Clinton

If you happen to see the Bill Clinton five-minute TV ad for Hillary in which he introduces the commercial by saying he wants to share some things we may not know about Hillary's background, beware as I was there for most of their presidency and know them better than just about anyone.  I offer a few corrections

Bill says:  "In law school Hillary worked on legal services for the poor."
Facts are:  Hillary's main extra-curricular activity in 'Law School' was helping the Black Panthers, on trial in Connecticut for torturing and killing a 'Federal Agent.'  She went to Court every day as part of a Law student monitoring committee trying to spot civil rights violations and develop grounds for appeal.

[Image: download?mid=2%5f0%5f0%5f1%5f225850%5fAG...=yahoomail]Bill says:  "Hillary spent a year after graduation working on a Children's rights project for poor kids."
Facts are:  Hillary interned with Bob Truehaft, the head of the California Communist Party.  She met Bob when he represented the Panthers and traveled all the way to San Francisco to take an internship with him.

Bill says:  "Hillary could have written her own job ticket, but she turned down all the lucrative job offers."
Facts are:  She flunked the D.C. Bar exam, 'Yes', flunked it, it is a matter of record, and only passed the Arkansas bar.  She had no job offers in Arkansas, 'None', and only got hired by the University of Arkansas Law School at Fayetteville because Bill was already teaching there.  She did not join the prestigious Rose Law Firm until Bill became Arkansas Attorney General and was made a partner only after he was elected Arkansas Governor.

Bill says:  "President Carter appointed Hillary to the Legal Services Board of Directors and she became its Chairman."
Facts are:  The appointment was in exchange for Bill's support for Carter in his 1980 primary against Ted Kennedy.  Hillary then became chairman in a coup in which she won a majority away from Carter's choice to be chairman.

Bill says:  "She served on the board of the Arkansas Children's Hospital."
Facts are: Yes she did.  But her main board activity, not mentioned by Bill, was to sit on the Wal-Mart Board of Directors, for a substantial fee.  She was silent about their labor and health care practices.

Bill says:  "Hillary didn't succeed at getting health care for all Americans in 1994 but she kept working at it and helped to create the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) that provides five million children with health insurance."
Facts are:  Hillary had nothing to do with creating CHIP.  It was included in the budget deal between Clinton and Republican Majority Leader Senator Trent Lott.  I know; I helped to negotiate the deal.  The money came half from the budget deal and half from the Attorney Generals' tobacco settlement.  Hillary had nothing to do with either source of funds.

Bill says:  "Hillary was the face of America all over the World." (LOL)
Facts are:  Her visits were part of a program to get her out of town so that Bill would not appear weak by feeding stories that Hillary was running the White House.  Her visits abroad were entirely touristic and symbolic and there was no substantive diplomacy on any of them.

Bill says:  "Hillary was an excellent Senator who kept fighting for Children's and Women's issues."
Facts are:  Other than totally meaningless legislation like changing the names on courthouses and post offices, she has passed only four substantive pieces of legislation.  One set up a national park in Puerto Rico.  A second provided respite care for family members helping their relatives through Alzheimer's or other conditions.  And two were routine bills to aid 911 victims and responders which were sponsored by the entire N.Y. Delegation.  Presently, she is trying to have the U.S. Memorialize Woodstock.

Here is what bothers me more than anything else about [Image: download?mid=2%5f0%5f0%5f1%5f225850%5fAG...=yahoomail]Hillary Clinton.  She has done everything possible to weaken the President and our Country (that's you and me) when it comes to the 'War on Terror'.
1. She wants to close GITMO and move the combatants to the USA where they would have access to our legal system.
2. She wants to eliminate the monitoring of suspected Al Qaeda phone calls to/from the USA.
3. She wants to grant constitutional rights to enemy combatants captured on the battlefield.
4. She wants to eliminate the monitoring of money transfers between suspected Al Qaeda cells and supporters in the USA.
5. She wants to eliminate the type of interrogation tactics used by the Military & CIA where coercion might be used when questioning known terrorists even though such tactics might save American lives.
One cannot think of a single 'Bill', Hillary has introduced or a single comment she has made that would tend to strengthen our Country in the 'War on Terror'.  But, one can think of a lot of comments she has made that weaken our Country and makes it a more dangerous situation for all of us.

Bottom line: She goes hand in hand with the ACLU on far too many issues where common sense is abandoned.

Share this with everyone you know, ask them to prove Dick Morris wrong.

Her winning in 2016 means the final death knell for America!  Her whole public life has been a LIE.

By Dick Morris, former political advisor to President Bill Clinton
