I think that the initial farting about with time-travel or at least, any experiments strong enough to effect
our accepted timeline, has slightly bumped us onto another due to some outcome from these investigations.
It could be that embedded laws prevent change being too radically altering in our reality, but some of the
original timeline we entwined with have 'soaked' into ours. We can't properly identify it, but we can feel it.
