I am too, but so far have only found reports from North Carolina (unlikely as a Neanderthal, because the fella that saw it reported a height of 10 feet, whereas the average Neanderthal male was around 5'4" or 5'6"), one in Finland, one in New York, and a scattering in Central Asia and China. It's a bit of synchronicity that the report you mention comes from east of York - as far as I know, Myra Shackley who researches such things still lives in North Yorkshire. Maybe she would know of it.

Diogenes was eating bread and lentils for supper. He was seen by the philosopher Aristippus, who lived comfortably by flattering the king.
Said Aristippus, ‘If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.’ Said Diogenes, ‘Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.’
