Georgia teacher in custody after allegedly opening fire in classroom, police say
Quote:A teacher has been taken into custody after allegedly firing at least one shot inside a Georgia high school classroom Wednesday, police said.
The Dalton Police Department identifed the teacher as Jesse Randall Davidson, 53, a social studies teacher who also does play-by-play announcements during the school's football games. He has been employed with the school since 2004. It was not immediately clear if any charges would be filed against Davidson.

Police also announced no students were inside the classroom at the time of the incident. Police said the teacher allegedly would not allow students inside the classroom. A witness reportedly heard the gunshot and called authorities, according to WCRB-TV.
Police did not say what type of firearm was used but confirmed it was a handgun. The gun has been recovered.

Dalton High School was placed on lockdown and police confirmed no children were in any danger. The school and the area surrounding it were evacuated.
Police have asked parents to pick up their children at the Northwest Georgia Trade Center. The school has about 2,000 students, according to the school's website.
Dalton is about 90 miles north of Atlanta.

Don't you find the timing of this incident just a little too coincidental?  Just after Pres. Trump suggested arming teachers?

They are so pathetic with their scams now; people should be able to see right through what they are doing.   smallnotamused

Quote:New Zealand teenager tried to kill Queen Elizabeth in 1981.

'A teenager tried to kill Queen Elizabeth II during a visit to New Zealand in 1981, declassified official documents confirm.
Christopher Lewis, 17, fired a shot as the Queen toured the city of Dunedin, New Zealand's Security Intelligence Service
(SIS) said.

Police had said at the time that the gunshot sound had been caused by a sign falling over, local media report.
A former police officer and local media have suggested a cover-up took place.

New Zealand feared future royal tours could be cancelled, it is claimed.
The royal parade took place in Dunedin on 14 October 1981. Police and members of the public heard "what they took to
be a shot", according to the declassified documents obtained by news website Stuff.

Christopher John Lewis.

Lewis was arrested shortly afterwards and police discovered a rifle and used gun cartridge in a building overlooking the
parade. "Lewis did indeed originally intend to assassinate the Queen," the documents say. But he "did not have a suitable
vantage point from which to fire, nor a sufficiently high-powered rifle for the range".

Lewis was not charged with attempting to kill the Queen but was accused instead of offences including discharging a firearm.
An SIS memo written shortly after Lewis's first court appearance and obtained by Stuff said officials feared journalists would
connect Lewis to the Queen's parade.

"Current police investigations into the shots have been conducted discreetly and most media representatives probably have
the impression that the noise was caused by a firework of some description," the memo said.

"There is a worry, however, that in court the press may make the connections between the date of the offence and the Queen's
visit." The New Zealand government was accused of covering the incident up by former Dunedin police officer Tom Lewis in 1997.

He told Stuff he doubted the full truth would emerge.
"It will be like ripping the scab off... so much pus would come out," he said.

The New Zealand authorities feared that if the incident became public knowledge, future royal visits could be called off, Stuff said.
Tom Lewis said the teenager was initially facing a charge of attempted treason but that subsequently changed.

Colin Peacock of Radio New Zealand said journalists had come forward in recent weeks to say they were visited by police and
told not to report "anything about a shot or any sharp sound that was fired". "They do believe this came from the very very top and
shut down the story," he told the BBC.

Lewis told investigators he was the commander of an armed group but the SIS investigated the claim, found no evidence and said
Lewis suffered "delusions". After serving his initial jail term he went on to commit armed robberies and was charged with murder.
He took his own life in prison in 1997.

New Zealand police have said they will investigate Lewis's case file given the interest in the "historic matter", the New Zealand
Herald reported...'

I hope this is only one of many more to come, and I hope when all is said and done those responsible are left penny-less.

Quote:The first lawsuit has been filed by a student from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School after the massacre on Valentine’s Day in which 17 people were murdered.

Anthony Borges, 15, who courageously used his body as a human shield to protect other students when the shooter targeted them, getting hit with five bullets and winding up with injuries so severe that he cannot walk, has joined his family to file suit against the Broward County sheriff's office, the school resource officer, the Broward County school system and the principal at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Borges was hit by bullets twice in his right leg, once in his left leg and twice in his torso.

Borges’ attorney, Alex Arreaza, wrote in the lawsuit, “The failure of Broward County Public Schools, and of the principal and school resource officer to adequately protect students, and in particular our client, from life-threatening harm were unreasonable, callous and negligent action or inaction led to the personal injuries sustained by my client."

Arreaza stated that Borges has “a great deal of difficulty performing rudimentary tasks for himself,” and has undergone several surgeries. He added, “By the grace of God he's not No. 18. But it's going to be a tough recovery … it's a miracle that we're even talking about recovery.'
Royer Borges, Anthony’s father, told ABC News after his son was wounded, “He just called me and says, 'Dad, somebody shot me in the back and my leg, too.' He's my hero. … I only ask that people pray for him.”

Arreaza said Borges’ medical bills will definitely exceed $1 million. He also pointed out that Borges’ Boy Scout training helped save his life, because he knew how to create a tourniquet to stop his bleeding.

A Go Fund Me page has been created to help Borges and his family.

THIS... after Pres. Trump and others suggests teachers be armed (not all of them) in the class room.

Wonder how much this teacher was paid to do this?   tinyok It must have been quite a bit, at least enough to get him through while being on administrative leave.

And notice how the title to this makes it sound much worse than it was.

Quote:A teacher in California has reportedly accidentally fired a gun in a classroom, injuring three children.

Police were called to Seaside High School on Tuesday after Dennis Alexander, who was leading a class on gun safety, fired a semi-automatic weapon at the ceiling, local press reported.

The incident comes amid fierce debate about gun regulation following a shooting at a Florida High School in which 17 people were killed.
Survivors of the massacre have pressed for stricter gun control measures, but Donald Trump has suggested arming teachers.

At Seaside High School, one 17-year-old student was hit in the neck by debris falling from the ceiling or by bullet fragments, Seaside Police Chief Abdul Pridgen said.

None of the students were seriously injured and lessons resumed after the incident, according to police.

Zachary Cruz, 18, was arrested at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and charged with
trespassing on school grounds, a Broward Sheriff's Office report said.

The teen was recorded by security cameras riding his skateboard at the school around 4:30 p.m.
though he had received prior warnings from school officials to stay away from the campus, the
report said.

Zachary Cruz told the arresting deputy that he was there to "reflect on the school shooting and
to soak it in," according to the report. It added that the teen had "surpassed all locked doors and
gates and proceeded to ride his skateboard through school grounds."

The youth's brother, 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz, has been charged with 17 counts of first-degree
murder in connection with the Feb. 14 shooting.

The Associated Press reported Sunday that documents show some officials recommended in
September 2016 that Nikolas Cruz be involuntarily committed for a mental evaluation, though the
recommendation was never acted upon.

Such a commitment would have made it more difficult, if not impossible, for Cruz to have legally
obtained a gun such as the AR-15 assault-style rifle used in the shooting.
Jail records didn't immediately list an attorney for Zachary Cruz...'

Quote:A new documentary by CBS News reveals that Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student David Hogg, who has become the face of the student body’s push for gun control, was not at the school at the time of the shooting.

The bombshell comes from David Hogg himself, who made the admission to a CBS News interviewer as part of the documentary “39 Days.” The program chronicles the birth of the student-led “Never Again” movement that culminated in the “March for our Lives” in Washington D.C. on Saturday.

“39 Days” has not yet aired, but an excerpt posted online by CBS News (and included below) includes interviews with the students leading the gun control movement, including Hogg, Delaney Tarr, Cameron Kasky, and Emma Gonzalez. Hogg, who describes himself as a “student journalist,” admits he was at home at the time of the shooting, but rode his bike to school to “get as many interviews as I could.”

That directly contradicts statements he gave to Time Magazine (included below) where he claims to have been in class at the time of the shooting.

Here is his exact quote, taken from the CBS News report.
Quote:DAVID HOGG: On the day of the shooting, I got my camera and got on my bike and rode as fast as I could three miles from my house to the school to get as much video and to get as many interviews as I could because I knew that this could not be another mass shooting.

Hogg does not elaborate as to why he was not at school at the time of the shooting.
He also admits that he did not know most of the students who were killed.

Quote:DAVID HOGG: I didn’t know most of these people at a very personal level, but I wanted to make their voices heard and that’s what I’m really trying to do.

The admission is likely to stoke criticism from those who say Hogg is using the tragedy to advance himself and grab the spotlight. Hogg has been the target of many conspiracy theorists, including those who say he was not a real student (or even went to school in California) or even a crisis actor. Both accusations have been roundly discredited.

The new claim that he was at home contradicts his interview with Time Magazine just days after the shooting, in which Hogg said he was in class.

Quote:When Hogg heard a “pop” while sitting in an AP environmental science class around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, he told his teacher it sounded strangely like a gunshot. But there had been a fire drill that very morning and talk of a “Code Red” exercise to prepare for an active shooter. This must just be a surprise drill, he reasoned.

And then the fire alarm sounded. Dutifully acting on it, Hogg and other students tried to exit the building. A janitor—Hogg doesn’t know his name but calls him an angel—knew where the shots were coming from and sent the students back. Then a culinary arts teacher, Ashley Kurth, pulled Hogg and others inside, locked the door, and made them hide in a closet. Checking Twitter and Instagram, Hogg—who’s an editor at the school’s TV station—found the news that the shooting was real and ongoing.

The shots continued for what felt like an eternity. Hogg considered the possibility that he would not live to see the end of the day.

“While I was in there, I thought, ‘What impact have I had? What will my story be if I die here?’” Hogg told TIME in the hours following the ordeal. “And the only thing I could think of was, pull out my camera and try telling others. As a student journalist, as an aspiring journalist, that’s all I could think: Get other people’s stories on tape. If we all die, the camera survives, and that’s how we get the message out there, about how we want change to be brought about.”

CBS News did not challenge Hogg on his contradictory statements, and Hogg himself has not explained the contradiction.
Hogg’s statement can be seen just past the 4:30 mark of the video clip below.

Hogg had raised eyebrows – and drew criticism – when he recently complained that the rights of students were being violated after Douglas High School began requiring students to use clear backpacks, to cut down on possible weapons being smuggled in.
“It’s unnecessary, it’s embarrassing for a lot of the students and it makes them feel isolated and separated from the rest of American school culture where they’re having essentially their First Amendment rights infringed upon because they can’t freely wear whatever backpack they want regardless of what it is,” Hogg said.
Quote:Hogg: “After we come back from Spring Break, they’re requiring us all to have clear backpacks…it’s unnecessary. It’s embarrassing for a lot of the students.” #Axios360 pic.twitter.com/xvR8aP5th1

Well it's about time someone in the mainstream got up and said something. If it helps the fashion-crazy kids,
we can now state victimhood is out of style.

Quote:Eagles of Death Metal frontman and Bataclan survivor Jesse Hughes calls gun control protest 'pathetic'

The musician claims protests insult the memory of the 17 students
and teachers who died in the Parkland school shooting.

Jesse Hughes.

'Eagles of Death Metal frontman Jesse Hughes has hit out at US students protesting for gun control measures,
calling them "pathetic" and "vile abusers of the dead".

In an Instagram rant about the March for Our Lives protest, Hughes accused Marjory Stoneman Douglas High
School shooting survivors of "playing hooky at the expense of 16 of your classmates' blood".

Seventeen people were killed in the shooting in Parkland, Florida, last month.

Hughes, whose band were performing at Paris's Bataclan venue when it was targeted by terrorist gunmen in 2015,
shared an illustration of a woman telling a man: "I turned in my gun to do my part in ending violence", to which he
replies: "I chopped off my own d*** to stop rape."

In one post Hughes writes: "The Whitney Houston song about letting the children lead the way wasn't actually has [sic]
operating paradigm for life

"And when the truth don't line up with your bull**** narrative just hold your breath and stamp your feet and refused [sic]
to except [sic] it…then take multiple days off school playing hooky at the expense of 16 of your classmates' blood.
"It might be funny if it wasn't so pathetic and disgusting."

Referring to his experience during the Bataclan attack, he wrote: "As a survivor of a mass shooting I can tell you from
first-hand experience that all of you protesting and taking days off from school insult the memory of those who were
killed and abuse and insult me and every other lover of liberty by your every action.

"Long Live Rock 'n' Roll…and may everyone [sic] of these disgusting vile abusers of the dead live as long as possible
so they can have the maximum amount of time to endure their shame and be cursed."

Another post that has since been deleted showed multiple images including one of a bottle of pills labelled
hard to swallow" followed by an image of a hand holding three pills bearing the caption: "Our guns aren't going anywhere."

The posts sparked a backlash on social media.
Felipe Flores wrote: "Jesse Hughes is a deluded redneck and should not, under any circumstances, be taken seriously."
Following the Bataclan attack, in which 89 people died, Hughes criticised France's strict gun controls.

He said: "Did your French gun control stop a single person from dying at the Bataclan? If anyone can answer yes, I'd like
to hear it, because I don't think so."..'
SKY News:

And in condemning the false narrative, it also emerges that...

Quote:'Yes, said Parkland student Emma González. She and her fellow students at Parkland’s Marjory Stoneman
Douglas High School “ostracized” fellow student Nikolas Cruz. Said González when speaking in
Washington at the anti-gun “March for Our Lives”:

Emma González.

“Since he was in middle school, it was no surprise to anyone who knew him, that he was the shooter.
Those talking about how we should have not ostracized him? You didn’t know this kid! OK? We did!”

Which is to say, González just made a startling admission. Parkland students bullied Nikolas Cruz...'

Quote:'...In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, in which Cruz took 17 lives, the TC Palm of the USA Today
network headlined this:

Florida school shooting: Student knew Cruz: ‘I could have said something to administrators’
The story reports the following:

Marolo Alvarez remembers students taunting Nikolas Cruz.

'...“He looked like a school shooter,” Alvarez said students used to say about him.
… Alvarez, who spoke to reporters at a vigil for victims of the area’s second mass shooting in 13 months, said
he wishes he had said something earlier. “I could have said something to administrators, that ‘hey this kid gets
bullied a lot, please help him, please reach out to him.’ I kind of regret not doing that,” Alvarez said....'

Catch that? Nikolas Cruz wasn’t just bullied — he was “bullied a lot.”

I remember when I was still teaching adults, there was one young muslim man who was getting more and more angry. Just before his team moved to the next course i had  a cup of coffee with him and had a normal chat with him.
Later I heard from another muslim how much that cup of coffee had meant to him, it was not the coffee that was important it was the fact I treated him as no different to any others, that I noticed him.
Some times small things are important.

I also found this little bit of info strange. I wonder if all the marches would of happened if a muslim had done the shootings.

♜ ANOTHER FATAL FBI FUMBLE IN FLORIDA
No CNN Town Halls Or Student Walkouts Over Islamic Murderer Because No Guns

Were To Blame— 13 Year Old Rescued His Mom And Sustained 32 Stab Wounds
Michelle Malkin
Corey Johnson’s brutal attack was no unexpected incidence of sudden jihad syndrome.

A sickening act of youth violence in Florida glinted across the news headlines last week,
and then disappeared from view.

There will be no CNN town halls or student walkouts over the lost life and preventable
tragedy, because there are no guns to blame.  As the exploiters of crisis know full well,
bureaucratic screw–ups don’t make good fodder for partisan fundraisers and hipster T–shirts.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed by the Palm Beach County police, 17 year–old
Corey Johnson bought a knife last Sunday and brought it with him to a sleepover at longtime
friend Kyle Bancroft’s house.

At 4 a.m., he decided to kill Kyle’s mother, Elaine, Kyle’s brother, Dane, and Dane’s friend,
Jovanni Sierra Brand. Johnson repeatedly stabbed Jovanni in his bed and slit his throat.
Then he attempted to murder Elaine as she approached the boys’ bedrooms in response to Jio’s
last gasps.

Dane rescued his mom and sustained 32 stab wounds. Both were hospitalized and survived.
Jovanni was buried last Friday — less than a week after celebrating his 13th birthday at a pizza
party attended by Johnson.

The 17 year–old killer Johnson told police he "stabbed the victims because of his Muslim faith,"
watched videos of "Muslim jihadists" on his cellphone, and "was reading the Quran from his phone
just prior to the attack to give him courage to carry out his intentions."
.
Local school officials and police in Palm Beach County, along with federal and international law

enforcement authorities, had encountered more red flags in their years of dealing with Johnson.

In middle school, Johnson had reportedly stalked a student and sexually harassed her.
She told school police but they did nothing. He dabbled in white supremacy, anti–Semitism and
gay–bashing, and then immersed himself in radical Islam.

Johnson’s online jihad agitation, physical abuse and addiction to ISIS beheading videos prompted
his sister in 2016 to confide in a school therapist, who contacted the local sheriff’s office.
Johnson’s mom, the sister told school officials, was in denial. The sister so feared for her life she slept
with a knife under her bed.

Law enforcement officers at the Jupiter Police Department and Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office
convened at Johnson’s high school last January to investigate the self–radicalized teen’s contact with
ISIS as he sought to join the terror group.

The FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force became involved after European intelligence counterparts told
them Johnson had used Instagram to issue security threats to a Catholic high school in England.
The threats "were so severe in nature," local officials discovered, "that up to 100 students were removed
from the school fearing some kind of attack."

One of the messages threatened: "By Allah, we will kill every single Infidel student at this school." Johnson
told FBI agents he "was supportive of known terrorist Anwar al Awlaki" -the spiritual patron of lone–wolf
jihadists

Quote:Florida cop investigated over social-media posts that say Parkland attack might be a hoax.

'A Florida police officer is under investigation in connection with social-media posts suggesting that
the Parkland school massacre could be a hoax –and the students "paid actors" instead of survivors.

"What proof do you have?" asks a post under the name of Ericson Harrell, a North Miami Beach officer.
"What evidence do you have, that anyone was killed other than #MSM accounts, alleged witnesses and
a couple of funeral processions?"

The police department has begun an internal investigation into that post and others, said police
Maj. Richard Rand, a department spokesman.
Neither Harrell nor a police union representative could be reached for comment.

The officer has been with the agency for 19 years, records show.
Harrell, 43, has been disciplined before for his views.

Plantation police arrested him in 2013, saying he refused to take off a mask during a one-man public
protest against the Affordable Care Act Officers asked him repeatedly to remove his smiling, mustached
Guy Fawkes mask, an image that's been adopted by protesters and the hacktivist online group known
as Anonymous.

The Broward State Attorney's Office declined to prosecute Harrell on charges of obstructing traffic and
violating an anti-mask law. In dismissing the charges, a prosecutor concluded the anti-mask law was
vague, and that Harrell would argue a constitutional rights violation.

Still, Harrell faced discipline at work. The North Miami Beach police said in 2015 that he was docked
20 hours pay for violating internal policies, including spending excessive amounts of time on Facebook,
YouTube and conspiracy theory-related websites during work hours.

The internal investigation of Harrell stems from posts on a Facebook account that bears his name.
The account makes references to police work, including a recent entry that described a child refusing
to talk to a stranger. It had the hashtags #NeverTalktoPolice and #ThePenitentCop.

A Facebook post that asked for proof of the Feb. 14 Parkland mass shooting included the hashtags
#StonemanDouglas and #SandyHook, the site of the 2012 Connecticut school shooting.

Also on the Facebook page:
– A day after the Parkland massacre, one post asks, "What if the cops went into school and shot and kill
some students?! Would they be forthcoming? Lawsuits would help to find out."
The post didn't elaborate further.

– Another Feb. 15 post asks, "Why does the United States keep having these 'Mass Shootings?'
It's almost like it's planned!!!"

– A post on Feb. 19 asks, "Have you noticed these 'mass school shootings' occur in wealthy communities?
Then afterwards millions of dollars are dumped into them. Payoff money??"

– A March 22 post refers to the Parkland students featured on the cover of Time magazine as,
"All paid actors/actresses!!"

– A March 12 post asks, "Why hasn't anybody accused of being a crisis actor filed a single defamation lawsuit?
Could it be because truth is an absolute defense?"

– Another post shows a screenshot of a Parkland shooting victim's mother screaming in distress on national
television, calling it "bad acting."

On Friday, a woman answering the phone at Harrell's home identified herself as his domestic partner.
She said she was unaware of the posts and didn't comment further...'
