Well, the big fella has ramped it up a notch...
May I present... my first ever... hand-carved wooden spoon!
I'm very proud (despite the fact that you can buy them, 3 for a pound down at the B&M homestore) because I made it myself!
I had bought Chrissie a curved wood-crafting knife recently, and this morning was our first chance to try it out... what a GREAT way to spend an hour or two... sitting in the garden with a small machete... a curvy craft knife... and some off-cuts of a young Birch Tree which had been blown down in the recent storms.
I'm a happy man I tells ya....
Yes, your honour I believe that this is every bit as therapeutic as the mushroom carving.... no your honour, I do not release the spoons back into the wild...
