Too bad these people had to die first.  But, hopefully, they'll get these
people locked up and save many other lives.

This occurred before the crash and supposed to be not terror-related.
Considering the political temperature, is it normal to do this in such a
sensitive position?!

Man with knife arrested outside Buckingham Palace moments before Queen
drives past.

'A man with a knife has been arrested near Buckingham Palace, as Britain remains
on critical  terror alert amid fears Manchester suicide bomber Salman Abedi did not
act alone.

The man was detained by police on The Mall just moments before the Queen passed
by in a car on her way to an engagement with the Duke of Edinburgh at St Paul's
Cathedral.

A picture showed the man surrounded by officers and handcuffed as he sat on the
ground, while a police officer nearby held what was believed to be a large blade
that had been seized.

The Metropolitan Police said the incident, at around 10.40am on Wednesday, is not
believed to be terror-related. However, it comes amid heightened security and as
armed soldiers prepare to guard "key locations" across London.

A witness said he saw the man surrounded by officers and handcuffed as he sat
on the ground in The Mall at around 10.40am.
A police van arrived with lights flashing and drove him away...'

FORTRESS BRITAIN

A total of 984 troops carrying guns are being ferried out to join police officers as the
terror threat has been raised to the highest possible level in a decade -critical -meaning
an attack
is now “expected imminently”.

Troops have reportedly taken over many of the sentry boxes at Parliament from police
as they join cops guarding the city.

About 30 soldiers were seen walking into the grounds through the St Stephen's Entrance
just after midday as they create a ring of steel around Westminster.

Amber Rudd said this morning a total of 3,800 soldiers were ready to be called upon
to be deployed to Britain's streets should counties across the country wish to have them
man the streets in their communities.

So far 984 troops have been confirmed as being dispatched and will predominantly
patrol the London area. The need for greater police numbers to patrol the streets has
seen the Changing of the Guard ceremony cancelled today.

A Ministry of Defence spokeswoman said: "The decision has been taken in order to
release the police who would otherwise be dealing with the road closures."..'
