Manchester Arena attack: 22 dead and 59 hurt.
'Twenty-two people, including children, have been killed and 59 injured in a suspected suicide
attack at Manchester Arena.
The blast happened at 22:35 BST on Monday at the end of a concert by the US singer Ariana Grande.
Greater Manchester Police said the lone male attacker, who died in the blast, was carrying an improvised
explosive device which he detonated.
Relatives are using social media to hunt for missing loved ones.
Police have set up an emergency telephone number in response to the attack. It is: 0161 856 9400.
Sixty ambulances attended the incident and those wounded are now being treated at six hospitals around
the city.
Chief Constable Ian Hopkins said it was "the most horrific incident" Greater Manchester had ever faced.
He said the "fast-moving investigation" was now working to establish whether the attacker "was acting
alone or as part of a network".
Eyewitnesses described seeing metal nuts and bolts among the debris, and spoke about the fear and
confusion that gripped those caught up in the events.
Andy Holey, who had gone to the arena to pick up his wife and daughter, said: "An explosion went off and
it threw me about 30ft from one set of doors to the other set of doors.
"When I got up I saw bodies lying on the ground. My first thought was to go into the arena to try to find my family.
"I managed to find them eventually and they're OK."
Emma Johnson said she and her husband were at the arena to pick up her children, aged 15 and 17.
"We were stood at the top of the stairs and the glass exploded - it was near to where they were selling
the merchandise," she told BBC Radio Manchester.
"The whole building shook. There was a blast and then a flash of fire afterwards.
There were bodies everywhere."...'

Yes, @"Ninurta" warned us a few weeks ago that something like this was being planned.

As the Police are back-checking the man who activated the explosive device and after
arresting a man connected with the incident, the slow and hopefully not-too-PC-sensitive
security forces are making a move on one of the rat's nests.

Eight-year-old Saffie Rose Roussos among Manchester attack victims.
'An eight-year-old girl is among the three named victims in the Manchester terror attack,
which has killed 22 people. Saffie Rose Roussos was a pupil at Tarleton Community Primary
School, and she had been attending the Ariana Grande concert with her mother and her older
sister.
Her headteacher, Chris Upton, said her death had come as a "tremendous shock" and he
described Saffie as "simply a beautiful little girl". He added: "The thought that anyone could
go out to a concert and not come home is heartbreaking.
"She was loved by everyone and her warmth and kindness will be remembered fondly.

This man makes some good points that this was a "staged" event... or what we call a "false flag". That's not to say no one died. Certain symbols are shown throughout what was captured on film. It's also strange that the camera people got in "just the right position" so soon after the explosion.
Would the announcer tell people everything was okay, and not to rush out, if this were real?

Updated: Town centre road closed as armed police swoop.
'Police have closed off a major road in Wigan - with reports suggesting a man
has been wrestled to the ground by armed officers.
Shop workers along Upper Dicconson Street in Swinley have been told to stay
inside from their windows by police. Parts of the road have been closed while the
incident is ongoing.
A large area of Swinley has been cordoned off, with officers stopping people from
travelling towards the road closures. Gemma Norton, owner of Bijou Hair Salon in
Upper Dicconson Street, said officers arrived at the scene at around 3.40pm.
She said: “We were told to stay away from the windows. It’s a bit frightening, really.”..'

Lorry driver arrested after five killed in M6 crash near Stoke.
'All of the people who died were in one car and a sixth person, who was also in the
vehicle, was critically injured.
A 60-year-old lorry driver has been arrested after five people died in a crash between
a car and a HGV on the M6 near Stoke.
Four females and a male, all believed to be adults, died in the car - a Nissan Micra.
The accident happened on the southbound carriageway, between junctions 15 and
14 at around 4.30am.
The male lorry driver, from the West Midlands, has been arrested on suspicion of
causing death by dangerous driving.
A sixth person is in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
An ambulance spokesman said: "When emergency services arrived they discovered
a car with six occupants inside which had been involved in a significant collision with
a HGV.
"Sadly, it quickly became apparent that nothing could be done to save the driver and
four passengers. All five were confirmed dead on scene...'

Manchester bombing triggers security crackdown with soldiers scrambled to patrol
Westminster as they join armed cops in race to foil ‘imminent’ second terror attack.
'Soldiers have been scrambled to join armed cops patrolling Britain’s streets

A total of 984 troops carrying guns are being ferried out to join police officers as the

seen the Changing of the Guard ceremony cancelled today.
A Ministry of Defence spokeswoman said: "The decision has been taken in order to
