Here's an example of why many believe the mainstream media don't really know what's going on and just fire-up
exploitive headlines for the need of ratings and viewership.

In the UK, the current weather conditions are poor and it's a grand excuse for the media to do little-more than
post images of marooned vehicles and kids sledging down embankments. The articles talk of dismay and
death in a time when it seems these types of snowstorms have never occurred in the British Isles, yet in reality,
winter has delivered them before.

A time for pulling on your galoshes and getting out to help those struggling -some might say. But that sort of
rhetoric doesn't assist television ratings and advertising revenue.
No, it's better to scare the public with tales of heating supplies shortages and suggestions that the world is
coming to an end.

But wait a moment! If the snow-bound country is now at the mercy of Gas-suppliers and for the sake of money,
-And wish to deprive the vulnerable voters, then what does this say about sovereign independence in a crisis?

Are we to look to businesses of this commodity and seek their mercy...? Or do we turn our shivering gaze to
those we elect to allegedly care for our every need?

Ratings via shock... or control of the public via the MSM...? oh, the deliberation.
Government sources for leaked information may dry up because of callous fear-mongering, but a frightening
headline sells papers. What is an Editor to do?

Tell the hacks down at the BBC to release this: WE'RE IN COMMAND HERE... NOT THE EUROPEAN UTILITY SUPPLIERS.
Jeez... the public will think Merkel and her gang are running the show!

UK gas supply warning ceases as cold snap continues.

'National Grid's first "gas deficit warning" for eight years has been withdrawn after supplies increased.
The network operator issued the warning on Thursday, saying it might not have enough gas to meet demand due to
the current cold snap gripping the UK.
The warning was a call to the market to boost supplies.



National Grid said it did not anticipate having to issue a new warning on Friday, but would do if supplies dropped off
again.

A National Grid spokesperson said: "The market has continued to respond over the last 24 hours and we have
seen an increase of supplies into the network.
"As the extremely cold weather continues we expect to see high demand on the gas network, so we are continuing
to monitor developments closely.

"Protecting customer supplies is always our first priority and we would like to reassure them that this high demand
has not affected their domestic gas supplies".

Blizzards
The sub-zero temperatures and snowy conditions in the UK have caused a spike in demand for gas from consumers
and businesses. National Grid has seen its highest demand for gas for six years in the past week.

That increase in demand was coupled with unplanned outages to supplies coming from Norway, the Netherlands,
and Belgium, leading to the National Grid warning.
Suppliers responded to Thursday's warning by pumping more gas into the system, and some large businesses
agreed with their energy suppliers to use less gas.

National Grid can ask large businesses to scale back gas usage, but in this case, reductions in gas use by industry
were done through commercial contracts with suppliers. Supplies to domestic consumers were not affected.

In recent years the UK has become more reliant on gas imports. Gas-fired power stations are taking up the slack
as coal-fired power stations are decommissioned.
In addition, a large North Sea gas storage facility called Rough is in the process of being closed down due to safety
concerns...'

So if we toss away the drama, it seems a scary headline from the day before is replaced with a calming,
'everthing-is-under-control' leader the next day.
The MSM don't really know what's going on, do they?!
