I see this every day and I often wonder how many out there don't realise that global narratives
sometimes don't work in their initially-created form and have to be altered to get the message
across.
What might seem a great manipulative manner in one country, may not have the same effect
in another where the population's dialectic leans towards a more religious or industrious setting.
Like this one. It's not much, but the 'touchy-feely' emotional narrative is different because it's
perceived by the writers that certain words and images will impact on it's readers differently
and so, altered to-suit.
Swearing or cursing may not have the same effect on different readers or the anger in the incident
may not be appropriate in another country where the narrative is given as a more 'official authoritarian'
stance.
The idea of mourning can be seen to some as purely emotional and have no controlling aspects outside
of it's social acceptance that we should not make waves during a solemn perception.
And in some countries, a background appearance of serious governance far-outweighs any need to
portray a situation as something is merely emotive.
Ironically, the subject matter is the same in the articles, but how they're delivered is very different.
It's like two people being human, but their external appearance aren't the same!!

The initial essence of the above article is that the statues were covered for the reason of a display of mourning
and not to just shroud them from the presumed enraged citizens who don't like statues.
This article ignores the emotive connection of a black covering of the statues to the tragic death of Heather Heyer
and concentrates on the 'white supremacy' angle. For myself, it's interesting -as it shows the differences of perceived
'freedom rights'
The United States enjoys far greater freedom of speech than Europe, but to maintain these differences -or lack of
'sameness' the second article delivers more on the racial aspect than the emotional point offered in the first report.
When it's said that the pen is mightier than the sword, sometimes where that pen was manufactured can have
a bearing too!!

That vote came during a chaotic meeting packed with irate residents who screamed and cursed at
councilors over the city's response to the rally, the AP reported.
It was the first meeting held by the city council since the “Unite the Right” rally.
Later in the afternoon, local resident John Miska -sporting a long white beard, a tie-dye shirt, and a pistol
strapped to his thigh -attempted to cut down the tarp with a knife.
The effort was ultimately unsuccessful, though he told reporters the cover was a "desecration" -and added
that he was not with either "side." He said he was at the rally and counter-protests in Charlottesville earlier
in the month and "I told both sides to go f-k themselves."
Miska went on to describe Heyer as a woman "playing in traffic" and called slavery "the birth defect of America."
The argument over Charlottesville's monument stretches back to the council's vote earlier this year to take
down the Lee statue. That decision is currently halted by a legal challenge, and a judge has issued an
injunction preventing the city from removing the Lee statue while the lawsuit plays out.
Confederate statues have begun to come down across the United States. Statues in cities like New Orleans
were removed prior to the rally, but many more have been taken down after the flashpoint rally.
Following the violence in Charlottesville, Lexington, Kentucky, Mayor Jim Gray announced plans to move two
Confederate statues from a public area. And in Maryland, Governor Larry Hogan called for removing a statue
of Confederate-era Supreme Court Justice Roger B. Taney from state house grounds...'
