'Seven officers have been injured after police attempted to break up an unlicensed music event in west London.
Police were called to White City on Friday evening following reports of a number of people gathered at an estate.
Bricks and other missiles were thrown at police when they attempted to engage the group, forcing them to retreat
before additional public order-trained officers arrived. None of the injuries are said to be life-threatening, the Met
Police said.
Officers trained to deal with public disorder who arrived on the scene to disperse the group were met with further
hostility and violence, police said. A Dispersal Zone has been authorised in the area while a section 60 order is
also now in place.
Deputy Assistant Commissioner Laurence Taylor said seven officers had suffered injuries as a result of the clashes.
"Officers have responded to residents complaining about a large gathering, noise, anti-social behaviour and violence,"
he said. "These gatherings are illegal and also pose a risk to public health.
"The violence shown towards officers this evening was totally unacceptable and we will not tolerate it in any form.
Officers encountered bricks and other missiles being thrown at them.
"Our robust police response demonstrated that we will police incidents like these firmly and stop those intent on
causing harm or disruption to our communities."
Police in the capital have been called in to break up a number of illegal gatherings in the past fortnight, with more
than 20 officers hurt at a gathering in Brixton, south London, on 24 June...'

'Seven cops have been injured after being pelted with missiles as they tried to break up a huge illegal rave in London.
Shocking footage showed hundreds of revellers chasing down cops at the event in White City, West London.
Videos also show officers with shields yelling out "Get back, get back" to thugs wielding weapons during the clash tonight.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed seven officers were injured in the chaos but it is not clear how bad the injuries are.
Police cars were also damaged after thugs lobbed bricks at the officers as they tried to disperse the mob.
Horrified witnesses said officers have been pelted with bottles while trying to disperse the crowd.
One wrote: "Party in White City London,,
Over 100 young people open party,,police arrived and chased out ,
flying bottles and items thrown at police,,police left the scene,
possible waiting for riot police."
Another said: "Police attacked shutting down party in White City".
Scotland Yard condemned the violence after specialist officers were scrambled to deal with the "hostile" crowd.
A dispersal zone is now in place around White City after the drama.
It has not been confirmed if there have been any arrests yet.

The force earlier warned the entire borough was put under a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) which allows
authorities to ban certain behaviours.
They tweeted: "This is due to information received relating to planned Unlicensed Music / BBQ events taking place
within the locations. "Intelligence suggests that these events will be attended by West and South gang members.
This has previously led to violence and disorder."
The gathering is the latest in a string of unlicensed music events to take place in London during coronavirus lockdown.
A summer of discontent saw more than 140 police officers injured as fed-up Brits partied in the street.
Thugs threw bottles at cops in "vicious" scenes in Brixton - injuring 22 officers - on Wednesday while riot cops were
again pelted with missiles in Notting Hill on Thursday.
Over the weekend, hundreds gathered for illegal raves in Clapham and Tooting Bec for a forth night of chaos.
It came 24 hours after illegal street parties were broken up in Kensal Green, Newham and Maida Vale with seven
people arrested after police were pelted with objects.
Officers also broke up another rave in Tottenham, North London.
It comes ahead of Super Saturday tomorrow when pubs reopen for boozers from 6am for the first time since lockdown.
Some police forces are now cancelling lieu days and annual holiday for officers over fears the night could descend into
