Ghosts, Ghost Boxes, and The End of the World as We Know It
#1
I'm going to tell you right off, I don't put much faith in so called "ghost boxes". I don't know how they are supposed to work in any sort of detail, and I have serious reservations that they work at all. I've fiddled with some software ghost boxes, and never got any kind of credible response from one.

still, a lot of professional Spook Hunters swear by them.

There is a YouTube channel called "CodyITC" Where the "ITC" bit stands for "Instrumented Trans-Communication".  It seems to be another term for "EVP", but with a wider range, taking in such devices as ghost boxes, tape recorders, digital recorders, televisions, phones - any sort of "instrument" where a spook might try to make contact through.

I have several software programs laying around that purport to turn your computer into a communication device that spooks can talk through, but as I mentioned above, I've not had much luck with them, even when leaving them running for hours on end. Words do come through, but they are nonsensical in context of any questions asked, and "messages" are short enough that they don't really convey any communication at all.

Cody, on the other hand, seems to have better luck with his setup. He appears to get communications that are direct responses to the questions he asks, interspersed among reams of nonsensical gibberish. If it is really working, then the Spirit Realm seems to be a truly confused place, like a permanent stoner party.

For the past couple of years, he has been getting alleged "warnings" of impending catastrophe of a martial nature. We have to keep in mind that, while most of the phrases received are pretty generic as religion goes, Cody does seem to interpret everything through a Millennialist Christian lens. For example, he speaks of "End Times", a concept spawned from an incorrect reading of Revelations that is currently in vogue and has been for several decades. If you can filter that out and strip away the trappings it wraps the warnings up in, they are pretty straightforward, and are predictions of a nuclear strike on April 4th. It doesn't really give the magnitude of such a strike, although at one point the spooks seem to be worried about their children, and be of the opinion that many of them are going to wind up in the spirit realm, i.e. dead.

I'm going to post a few of his videos here, attempting to keep them in chronological order in reference to when they were posted to YouTube.

First, I'll post a video from March 1st 2020:

Here is a direct link to the video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gyKhMky2mSM

Next, one from 10 May 2020:

Here is a direct link - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDEsPcJUDzU

I don't recall which of these says what, so I'm going back through the post later to re-watch them and possibly offer commentary, but I note that the helicopter shown on the above video seems to be a Russian Mi-24 Hind, an interesting choice for two years ago. Also, note that the blurb mentions "The antichrist". There have been dozens, maybe hundreds, of antichrists over the past couple millennia, so I don't put any great stock in that claim - antichrists come, and antichrists go, and the world endures.

The next is from 26 September 2020:

Again, here the use of the phrase "end times" is an over-dramatization filtered through a Millenialist Christian lens, and not to be taken all that seriously.

Next up, a video posted 25 October 2020:

And, finally, one posted 19 July 2021, just this past summer:

I can't say that I know what they mean, nor that I even believe they mean anything at all. What I can say is that the date 4 April is just a couple weeks away, so we don't have long to wait to find out.

Diogenes was eating bread and lentils for supper. He was seen by the philosopher Aristippus, who lived comfortably by flattering the king.

Said Aristippus, ‘If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.’ Said Diogenes, ‘Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.’

I haven’t watched the videos yet but I do plan to to dig into them when I’m a little more awake.

I just had to share an experience I had with one of the ghost apps I downloaded to my phone. It may not have been much of anything but one evening I decided to download that app while we were outside cooking a little meal on our smoker. We hadn’t discussed what we were doing and this thing randomly spits out “salmon”. We were in fact preparing a nice salmon for our supper.

I didn’t really mess with it much after that because as I’ve mentioned before I am a little scared when it comes to things of the ghostly nature and I don’t want to think about the ghosts roaming around my yard or house. I do think that they can communicate to us through things like that though.

This is an interesting topic and I’m looking forward to watching those videos.

I downloaded some programs for the PC a few years ago, but they spitted out gibberish for the most part, with only one or two instances that I might consider relevant - but it seems to me that a lot of Cody's responses are irrelevant gibberish, too. it may be that I just don't have the patience to wait for the spooks to collect their thoughts.

Most of the PC programs I have use the written word rather than the spoken word, which would seem to be to be less easy to mistake or misinterpret. Most of those are various implementations of "frank's Box", modified for use textually on a computer. I have 4 or 5 modern apps lined up to drop onto a phone, but I'm not holding a lot of hope out for them.

The last time I fooled with any of the ones I already have, I did notice what appeared to be a small human footprint in the carpet of my living room where the ghost box was running. I didn't know it at the time, but my third wife had died a month or two previous to that. She had tiny feet for a grownup. She was 5' 2" tall, and had to buy her shoes in the kid's section. Don't recall any words from her coming through the ghost box, though. Don't have any idea why she'd be hanging out in my house, either. She did used to tell me that when she died she was gonna come back and haunt me, but just leaving a nondescript footprint with no explanation would be a pretty lightweight haunt, in my book.  So I dunno what really caused it.

I'm not afraid to fiddle with stuff like this - if they give me any trouble, I'll give 'em a spiritual throat punch that'll leave a mark on 'em.

It's better than ok - it's great! Where did I go wrong posting them?

Hmm.  Quite a history of failed predictions when a specific date is given.

Anything is possible given the predicament that Putin has put himself in, I suppose.  Ties in with a lot of "end times" type talk taking place in CT forums.

As far as being afraid, my dad used to tell me that ghosts can’t hurt ya, but they sure can make you hurt yourself. Of course, me being me, this only scared me worse because I thought it meant they could attack me with my own hand or something. I understood  later that he meant that if you get in a panic you could end up running into the wall or tripping over something like I did one evening in a cemetery when I heard a noise and fell over a tombstone while running out of there.

I just kicked back with the intention of watching those videos but nope, can’t do it. It was kinda creepy, I’m not watching that by myself lol. So looks like I’m waiting a couple more hours because I’m ascared.

I am willing to bet, that TPTB have slow kill methods for us useless eaters in pipeline.....so having nuclear war is against the plan. Thought Putin is mentally unstable person so who knows ...

Only watched about the first minute of each video. Interesting, maybe I will have time to finish them later.

I will say that any form of communication with spirits works better for those with natural mediumistic abilities. They do use the energy of the person(s) trying to communicate with them in order to reply. I learned this decades ago using a good, old fashioned Ouija board- my hand that was NOT on the planchette would turn icy cold (like I had stuck it in a deep freeze for a long time) and I would be extremely fatigued afterward. I believe that is why communication methods work very well for some but barely or not at all for others.

I wouldn't mess with any method- old school or electronic- ever again. Just because you THINK you are communicating with harmless spirits or ghosts doesn't mean that you are. A lot of times non-human entities and very harmful beings will pretend to be harmless, human spirits when they are far from being such and they are EXTREMELY good at it!  Sometimes no matter how many protective precautions you use it is not enough and once one of these entities "taste" your energy they will stop at nothing for more and more.

As for the predictions, well, there may be something to them but maybe not. Sometimes they just tell you what they think you want to hear. Only time will tell.

It's supposed to be the reverb and the static, or "white noise" that gives them the raw material to form words from. that has always confused me, because these "ghost boxes" are supposed to have a word bank, or a sound bank, or a phoneme bank for them to use as raw material, so the reverb and white noise seems overkill to me.

But what do I know, really? I don't hunt ghosts, they hunt me!

The first video in that string of videos is the longest and the most boring, with little relevance, and can be safely skipped without missing the messages much.

What strikes me the most is that all of these "ghost voices", in addition to being disjointed and seemingly confused, and often unaware of the actual topic of discussion, all have the same slurred, dragged-out speech of a stroke victim.

Yes most do have a word bank in them.
ONE (1) I know of was built with out a word bank by a Paranormal couple out of Australia.

In a stunning bit of synchronicity, MeTV ran "Night Caller" as their twilight Zone episode this evening. that is the episode where a little old lady keeps getting spooky calls in the night, and when the line is traced, it comes to a line that has broken and fallen over the tombstone of her fiance who had died 30 years previous.

I am on the fence about these contraptions.

Full disclosure, I have never used one or even seen one in use in-person. My only experience is seeing them on TV shows like The Holzer Files.

It seems the users interpret garbled static as words that are relevant. I guess you hear what you want to hear. With the ones which have words "programmed in", that seems a little suspect to me. How do I know some entity actually tried to say that to me? Or was it just the machine puking out some random data?

Don't get me wrong though. I believe there are entities out there which we humans interpret as ghosts. It could be more than one phenomena too. IDK. But how do I know it is the ghost of my Grandma and not something else? There could be a whole ecosystem of "spirits" out there. And do I really want to talk to them?
