Quote:French police officer seriously wounded in knife attack near Nantes
'A man stabbed and badly wounded a policewoman in a town near Nantes in western France on Friday.
He later died following a shoot-out with officers. The third act of violence directed at police in recent months,
officers are demanding better protection.
Protect & Serve.
The suspect, still armed, had been on the run after the attack in La Chapelle-sur-Erdre near the city of Nantes,
western France, and 80 officers were dispatched to pursue him. After stabbing the officer at a police station,
he stole her service weapon.
No motive for the stabbing has emerged, but the attacker had been released from prison in March, was
"radicalised and suffering from a very serious psychiatric illness", Le Parisien reported. Two French gendarmes
were wounded during the exchange of fire that resulted in the arrest of the suspect, authorities said, and one
was suffering from shock.
The suspect died shortly after.
"The gendarmes have neutralised the individual suspected of the knife attack against the municipal police officer,"
Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin said. Pupils in the area's primary and middle schools were kept indoors while
police tracked the suspect, a city official told reporters.
La Chapelle-sur-Erdre is a town of 20,000 inhabitants just north of Nantes near the Atlantic coast.
The attack came on the same day that Justice Minister Eric Dupond-Moretti called on French judges to show
"firmness" when dealing with people found guilty of attacks on police forces.
Spate of attacks
French police officers have demanded better protection and harsher punishment for attacks against them after
recent several assaults. Earlier this month, officer Eric Masson was shot dead while investigating activity at a
known drug-dealing site in the southern city of Avignon.
Masson's death came after the April 23 killing of Stephanie Monferme, a police employee who was stabbed in
the town of Rambouillet outside Paris in the latest jihadist attack in France.
In the worst recent attack against French police, three officers and one police employee were stabbed to death
in October 2019 by a IT specialist colleague who was himself then shot dead.
He was later found to have shown an interest in radical Islam.
There was no immediate indication that the French authorities intended to open a terror probe into Friday's attack.
Nantes prosecutors said they could not immediately comment...'
France is sure having problems with extreme Islam it would seem.
The report doesn't give the prep's name, but mentions he was "radicalized" and recently released from prison (implying that he was radicalized in prison), then references other cases where radical Islamic extremism was involved.
Without this guy's name or more information, it sure sounds like a Muslim immigrant to me or at least a prison convert to Islam.
Folks are going to screw around not being firm enough, that is going to embolden the enemy (whomever the enemy of the day or region is), and that in turn is going to either necessitate a hard core crackdown, OR result in an enemy victory.
It all starts because folks have become too pussified, and are now unable to simply stand firm.
Their inability to simply stand their ground is going to necessitate harsher measures down the road, and I don't think it's too far down the road. Just a couple more miles...

Diogenes was eating bread and lentils for supper. He was seen by the philosopher Aristippus, who lived comfortably by flattering the king.
Said Aristippus, ‘If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.’ Said Diogenes, ‘Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.’

EXCLUSIVE: MAN GETS SHOT FOR TELLING THE TRUTH. (Film at 11)
Quote:KNIFE HORROR Knifeman shouting ‘France is ruled by ISIS’ attacks security in ‘face mask row’ at Paris train station before being shot
'A knifeman who was reportedly shouting "France is ruled by ISIS" has been shot in a Paris train station after
attacking security in a row over face mask. The incident took place last night at Saint-Lazare station, one of
the French capital's busiest stations.
According to local media, the attack was sparked just before midnight on Monday when the man was stopped
by staff on platform 20 and 21, getting off the train to Pontoise (Val-d ' Oise), for not wearing a face mask,
according to Le Parisien.
He refused to comply and threatened the railway security officers with a knife, while shouting "Allahu Akbar.
France is ruled by the Islamic State," BFMtv reported.
In response, an officer drew his gun and shot a number of times, hitting him twice in the chest.
He then fell on the tracks and police were able to retrieve his knife.
The man was later rushed to the Georges-Clémenceau European hospital, where he is in a life-threatening
condition, reports claim. An official source confirmed to Le Parisien that CCTV footage shows "an individual
taking out a knife and threatening the crew."
A Paris police spokesman had no immediate comment.
France's state-owned railway company SNCF said in a statement: "The two agents used their
service weapon to defend and neutralise him.
"The injured individual was taken care of by the emergency services."
The 47-year-old French national, who has not been named but was identified by documents in
his belongings, was previously known to the police for acts of violence but was not known to the
intelligence services.
An investigation for attempted voluntary homicide on a person in charge of a public service mission,
apology for terrorism and violence with weapons has been opened.
The two police officers who claimed self-defence will appear in a hearing while other officers who were
on the scene will also appear as witnesses.
A cop who was not on duty but happened to be at the station is also set to testify...'
I think the continent is a powder keg. The lack of resolve by the EU to secure the frontiers coupled with the brash monkey act of politicians like Erdogan awaits only a flashpoint before it is Game On.
If islands in the Med start getting taken over, will the EU mount an expeditionary force to recover them ... or will it simply be easier to have endless discussions and frantic virtue signaling? (The notion of islands getting taken is not mine; rather it is a possibility voiced by a retired flag officer of the Royal Navy.)

Cheers
I have to agree with you, the constant intake of certain aged males with a particular ideology and dislike of
those who already live there, is an obvious setting for conflict. It is deliberate and it is for various reasons that
involving reducing power and control of those countries that accept them.
With 18,000 children of the families that arrive from so-called dangerous countries 'disappearing', it shows
that something sinister is going on as well.
The EU is a dying ponzi-scheme and retaining sovereignty of one's nation is a constant battle against those
who think they can simply abuse the public's grasp of reality. Maybe it's time to wheel out the Guillotine again!
