A very unusual story about a big cat

I was surprised at the outcome of this story

Animals are a lot smarter than we give the credit for.

I had a baby squirrel come and sit on my foot, and he would not be shooed off. I went to the internet and researched what to do, ended up raising him, and that was an ordeal and a half. Even with the frequent feedings, which required stimulating after, for him to do his business, and learning about the pain involved when those hypodermic teeth come in, I would do it again. My little ones named him Rocky, and he was a danger to the neighborhood, when people noticed him.

I don't know how folk that are driving in a place with kids every where, would always manage to see Rocky sitting on my shoulder. Rocky was like a heat seeking missile. When I left him in the backyard he would know when I opened the gate and before I would make it to the driveway, he would be scampering up my pant leg and be on my shoulder. So that is where he sat, when he was young. When he became a teenager he would hang with his buds and they all sit out on the patio eating all of the expensive snacks I would make.

I had a young female rabbit run up to me screaming so loud and terror filled that when I first heard it coming through the woods, I thought it was a human female. I went running off the porch to see what the heck was going on. This rabbit ran up and sat between my feet. It took me a while to see the three other rabbits that was chasing her. I took her on the porch with me and those determined males hung around for almost four hours before they left. She made a place for herself under the bench outside the porch door and lived there for months before she left.

Living in the woods I have rescued so many animals that the neighbors call me the female Dr. Dolittle. Some animals are better judges of who they can trust, better at remembering small kindnesses, and are better at showing their gratitude.

For every one person that read this post. About 7.99 billion have not.

Yet I still post.  tinyinlove

I love seeing stories about the big cats playing, and hugging humans.

That story about the lion that was raised by humans then set free, only to run to them years later and give them a big hug and licks on the face when they went back to check on him, always brings a tear to my eye.

I'd love to have one!   tinybiggrin
