Thomas from TruReporting has been putting out some fantastic videos about our untold true history, going all the way back to ancient texts, up to current times.
This first video covers these topics: Ariel Phenomenon, The Piri Reis Map, Giants, Historical Sites, Missing Books of the Bible, The Nephilim, The Book of Enoch, and the Vatican.
I'll be posting the next video with more topics on a separate post below.
Thomas puts up links of each topic in the chat box for anyone who wants articles on what they discuss, so go over there to watch if you want to grab those. He puts them up when the topic changes.
While you're there, please subscribe and give this show a thumbs up.

Looking at mundane aspect of this, the history works we read are what historians culled from primary records and deemed worthy of being known by some given segment of the public.
A lot of things go on and barely, if at all, get mentioned.
Older events tend to have thin documentation when compared to more recent events. Thus, one tends to see the same version of the "story" for older events, and the uniformity of the telling increases as one goes back further in history.
Recent events get dropped because they are "current events" (technically not yet history) and because, ironically, there is so much documentation available about so many things in recent times. Someone makes the decision as to what makes the cut and what doesn't for any given work of history.
Anyone who has read in depth about events in recent history realizes how simplified the school texts are. I'm not saying this is wrong, but it is something to keep in mind. I am personally aware of aspects of the Second World War and the Cold War that are not common knowledge. Partially because of lots of reading and partially because of some direct, personal experience.
The effects of this filtering and editing contributes in some measure to the "unknown history" that we are not aware of.
I recall looking once at an encyclopedia that was published in a communist country. My knowledge of the local language was spotty, but good enough to understand this work claimed the Korean War was the result of American aggression against North Korea. So, toss in some deliberate lies in various works around the world, and, yeah, it is quite a stew, not all of which is digestible.
Cheers

Interesting hearing these guys hash this stuff out between themselves. The host picked a couple of interesting fellas to talk with ... and I liked how they didn't need to hug the spotlight for themselves at any time.
'Cause if they catch you in the back seat trying to pick her locks
They're gonna send you back to Mother in a cardboard box
You better run!

Yup. In about 1981 or 82, I stumbled across a complete set of "The Great Soviet Encyclopedia". Browsing through it, I was astonished to discover that the US Special Forces, Green Berets, were utterly, completely, and entirely staffed by foreign mercenaries. In contrast, Soviet Special Forces were composed utterly, completely, and entirely of patriotic Soviet citizens, and dealt exclusively with delivering rockets and NBC decontamination. Nary a single mention of Spetznaz.
Can't always believe everything you read, I reckon. Some folks seem to have an agenda when they put stuff into print...
.
Diogenes was eating bread and lentils for supper. He was seen by the philosopher Aristippus, who lived comfortably by flattering the king.
Said Aristippus, ‘If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.’ Said Diogenes, ‘Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.’

Episode 4 is out, and it's going over the history of the Vatican.
I'm just beginning to watch it now, but thought I'd share it here so you all can watch too if you have nothing better to do.
I'm sure I'll fall asleep before I get through it all. It's almost 12:30 a.m. here and this video is almost 3 hours long.
