COVID-19 in Japan
#1
Video
Back when dinosaurs roamed the earth (1985-1987) I was active duty U.S. Navy and stationed in Yokosuka Japan. One of the things I noticed right away when I went off base was how many people would wear masks during cold and flu season. I was impressed by how considerate people were, not wanting to spread viruses and that. This was very common, and I saw it all the time. It got to the point that if I had a cold, I started feeling like I should wear a mask too. I wasn’t Japanese, but it was my adopted home and I had a lot of respect for Japanese people. My American friends at the Naval base thought I was crazy and ridiculed Japanese people who wore masks. I was surprised and disgusted with this attitude, as I saw Japanese people as much nicer and more considerate than Americans.

So as I’m reading in the news, it seems Japan is getting another spike in COVID-19. Despite the fact that people there wear masks as a routine, it’s surprising and dismaying that they’re having problems with this. I just thought I’d point it out, because it’s very much in their culture to wear masks if they have colds or that. Japan was my favorite duty station. You know, it took me longer to adjust coming back to the U.S. as I felt so many Americans were rude and nasty compared to Japanese people. I wanted to go right back to Japan.

Masks are a placebo.  Something to divert and calm the masses while the virus spreads and attenuates.

Just my humble opinion.

That was the first thing I thought when this whole thing got started, supposedly in China, and they started pushing the mask business. I said it was common practice for the Chinese people to wear masks, mainly due to the poor air quality, but if they were hit so hard with so many people already wearing mask, my question was, why did we think mask were going to make that much of a difference.

Well I got my government mask in the mail yesterday, and when I saw the QR code attached, requesting us citizens to download the "Combat COVID App", I could see that there was a method to their madness.

For every one person that read this post. About 7.99 billion have not.

Yet I still post.  tinyinlove

True, The Mask Does Nothing.
This Virus acts like a Bioengineered Virus that can enter your system from your eyes or an open wound.
Anyplace where there is the slightest bit of Moisture.
Not to Gross anyone out (if you are easily, grossed out by images in your mind of nudity STOP HERE).   In public bathrooms and showers  when your Private areas are exposed to the surrounding air or breeze you have a very good chance of being infected.
Why, because of the moist areas exposed.
Look at the their world countries report with higher cases, Brazil for one, people at beaches use outdoor changing rooms and toilets.

I have three patients with the COVID 19, they swear to me they wear their mask in their own backyard Pools with their friends and families but use their outside showers or hose to wash off the Pool Chlorine and sweat and yes they are often naked, mostly the young ones.
So, I have 1, 4 year old Male, 1, 8 year old Female and 1, 36 year old Female.

Ok, OK Just My Humble Opinion, so let the Bashing Begin!  minusculebeercheers

No bashing from me. What you said made me think. So I’m menopausal and sweat a lot. When I go walking, I’m usually soaked when I get back home regardless of the humidity. I usually change clothes and wipe myself down because I don’t like feeling dirty and gross. So with my excessive sweat, I think I’m not helping myself a lot. Now the good thing when I go on my walks is I don’t get near any people. If I did though, that would be very bad. Something to ponder.

The best remedy for sweating against the virus, after a good workout, take the hottest shower you can stand, Not Bath, it does no good to soak in your own juices.
Remember your Head hair like your nose hairs can collect the Virus spores, so it is best to shampoo twice, swab the nostril nose hair with q-tips soaked with rubbing alcohol (any time you come from a gathering) JMHO.
Rinse in the coldest water you can stand to close your pores.

Just adding that my Dear Old Dad used to claim that holding your breath would also close your pores. I've seen him, with my own two eyes, hold the stinger of a wasp up to his thumb with no sting forthcoming, although the wasp was pretty upset. Dear Old Dad was very highly allergic to wasp stings. He claimed that it was because he held his breath, and closed his pores thereby, that the wasp could not sting him. Also adding that Dear Old Dad used to test me a lot, so he might have been lying, and that may have been just a test to see if I bought it...

.
Diogenes was eating bread and lentils for supper. He was seen by the philosopher Aristippus, who lived comfortably by flattering the king.

Said Aristippus, ‘If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.’ Said Diogenes, ‘Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.’
