How to print your pee & poop into a bio-degradable plastic friend who is fun to play

Information
Explanation: Ok ... yeah that title is a bit crude so here OL provides a courtesy flush ...

Save me Yoshimi ...

Now to raise a stink!

Just think of all the poopabilities!

How raw sewage becomes biodegradable plastic. (By Christina Hernandez Sherwood | May 26, 2011, 3:35 AM PDT) [smartplanet.com]

Quote:    The California-based company Micromidas has a two-pronged environmental mission: reuse sewage that usually ends up in landfills to create biodegradable plastic. I spoke this week with Ryan Smith, the company’s chief technical officer, about the process — and the future of plastics.

Packaging the Future: Micromidas Makes Biodegradable Plastic from Sewage (by Starre Vartan, 03/23/11) [inhabitat.com]
http://inhabitat.com/packaging-the-futur...om-sewage/

Quote:    Here’s how it works: after removing water from sewage, the solids (shudder) are put through a system wherein even more water is removed (and sent back to the sewage line) and other solids are drawn off. A ‘consortium’ of bacteria (different organisms address different sewage constituents including sugars, proteins, fats, etc.) get to work, and produce a malleable bioplastic polystyrene akin to a coffee cup top. “It’s the kind of plastic that can be used in packaging of all kinds,” says Bissell.

And how fantastic pooplastic could potentially be 3D printed ...

... or bought cheaply ...

Cheap, portable personal 3D printer: the UP! (By Cory Doctorow at 4:05 pm Monday, Sep 6) [boingboing.net]
http://boingboing.net/2010/09/06/cheap-p...perso.html

Quote:    The UP! personal 3D printer from China retails for $1500, with goop running at $50/kg. From this early adopter's review: It runs at 0.3mm resolution, and the finished models show striations from successive layers of goop, but light sanding produces a smooth finish. For objects with funny extrusions and sitcky-outie bits that aren't stable until they are fully printed, the printer calculates and adds support struts on the fly, and these have to be removed with a hobby knife after printing.

So we are all going to need to discuss the issue of ... Guaranteed minimum income [wiki]

Quote: Wrote:Guaranteed minimum income (GMI) (also called minimum income) is a system[1] of social welfare provision that guarantees that all citizens or families have an income sufficient to live on, provided they meet certain conditions. Eligibility is typically determined by citizenship, a means test, and either availability for the labour market or a willingness to perform community services. The primary goal of a guaranteed minimum income is to reduce poverty. If citizenship is the only requirement, the system turns into a universal basic income.

Interesting.
If robots take over before I die, I'll just move back to my hometown in the hills and live off the land the way my parents did.
The people in the community bartered for things they didn't have money to buy; may have to go back to that as well.
I have a book on hand that tells which mountain plants are good for different kinds of sickness too.
It's a hard life, but better than the one I see coming if robots rule the world.

That Asimo robot is still amazing, the balance and the fluid motion it moves, it's still ahead
of the rest!

The NWO will draft and implement Rights for Robots, it'll be illegal to turn on off or shut any of them down with an Electromagnetic Pulse.
They'll arrest you for Murder.

The NWO & UN will make it Mandatory Every Home has a Guardian Robot to assure YOU abide by the Rules of the New World Order.

I'm ok with that - a Watcher Bot would not be the first piece of machinery I've killed.

They are already making headway with installing Watcher Bots in homes - does Alexa and her sisters Cortana and Siri ring any bells?

fuck 'em - all I have to do in the event of mandatory Watcher Bots is refuse to pay the power bill, and THEY will have to kill off their own Watcher Bots, keeping my own hands free of robot oil and guilt...

.
Diogenes was eating bread and lentils for supper. He was seen by the philosopher Aristippus, who lived comfortably by flattering the king.

Said Aristippus, ‘If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.’ Said Diogenes, ‘Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.’
