Omm is dying
#1
My wife's cousin came to the house last week.. Her right arm was twice the size of her left arm... Her right breast was hard as a rock..the left breast was normal with no tenderness.. I asked her if she had been to the doctor and she said no but she was thinking about it... I told her to go tomorrow and she promised she would.. My opinion was she has advanced cancer but I did not say that to her..

She went the next day and they ended up sending her to a specialist.. He removed three tumors from her breast and sent her home..

At first I was kinda mad so I talked to a doctor friend who called the treating physician... His report to me was the cancer had spread to her bones and was not only in her arm and breast but was also in her pelvic area.

Long story short they sent her home to die instead of causing pain and suffering with treatment and trying to leech all the money from her and her family..

I can only imagine what would have happened to her in the states and my imagination about the medical establishment in the states is pretty vivid..

She will be dead in the next 3 months (if not sooner) IMO for food is already tasting bad and she has started throwing up.. Oh she is only38 years old and still a virgin

Good news the Doctors told her if the pain gets bad they would give her drugs (morphine seems to be the drug of choice) ...

Friends and family have been stopping by her home daily checking on her and providing companionship..

That is sad news indeed, its my hope to die fast without pain. However I dont understand why you needed to tell that she was a virgin, everyone has there own life and how they live it.
Please understand this is only my option and in no way am I been nasty.

You are correct and probably could have gone unsaid.. She has asked me many times to help find her a boyfriend for she has never known what it is like to be loved by a man.. I just find it doubly sad that someone is born and dies without ever knowing the joy of being close and loving someone.

Thanks for your reply and thoughts minusculebeercheers

I was mad at the doctors for sending her home and not doing something to save her life I suppose since/because I grew up in America.. However after the shock and frustration wore off I then thought; I had a wife die of cancer after all the medical B.S. and pain money could buy.. Stage 4 usually means 18 months or less..

At least the cousin will not have to be used as a lab rat and her estate go into bankruptcy trying to pay for a treatment that has little chance of success due to her advanced stage of the disease ..

The doctors (specialist) said she was to far gone and would be dead in three months.. They will make her as comfortable as possible which is good..

A hard pill to swallow for me and the family but that is the way things are going to be as far as the Doctors are concerned..

Often when people look at someone who is dying they see there own mortality reflected back and pull away from that person. The dying person is left even more alone. Im glad that your cousin has you.

I'm sorry to hear this 727Sky. :(

Watch this and maybe there will be something for her.  Never accept a death sentence from doctors. Lots of people have lived years longer than the doctors told them they would, just like this man's father-in-law who had stage 4 cancer. Doctors gave him a few months to live, but now it's been many, many years later and he is still living a good life.

I'm so Very, Very Sorry.

It's is a shame she didn't take the time to see a doctor earlier.
