Dakota Access Pipeline
#1
The MSM is keeping quite about what's going on regarding the Dakota Pipeline protest by our Native Americans and water protectors.  They have been in a standoff for weeks, but where is MSM to cover this?
Oh, I forgot... they aren't ALLOWED to cover it, so it's been up to armature reporters to keep us informed with cell phone coverage of the events.

There was a Live Feed on Face Book last night that I watched for about 45 minutes.  It was very upsetting!  The militarized police had the protesters trapped on a bridge and were using tear gas on them, and also spraying them with water in freezing temperatures.  Not only that, but they were shooting them with rubber bullets, and using the LRAD sound device.  This was a peaceful protest by the people, no guns or weapons on hand.

The  protesters had no where to go on the bridge to get out of the area without trampling over the people on the bridge behind them in order to get out of the way, so they had to stand there and breath the tear gas, which caused them to vomit and pee on themselves, according to one of the protesters that spoke while I was watching.

Have we not taken enough away from our Native Americans already without dishonoring the treaty we made when we told them that land belongs to them?  Are we now just going to trample over that promise and take the land like some kind of Bully, because we can?  All in the name of progress, right?

I don't have any idea how long this lasted after I logged off.  How long were these people forced to stand there and breathe the tear gas and be shot with rubber bullets?  It's disgraceful!!!

They were posting information for who to contact across the U.S. to voice our concerns, but it was scrolling so fast I didn't get the information.
I suppose contacting our Senator might be a place to start? Does anyone have this information?

The demonstration is taking place on Highway 1806, just north of the main protest camp against the pipeline.

Elder in Critical Condition after Going into Cardiac Arrest at Scene of DAPL Barricade Clash

Quote:CANNON BALL, NORTH DAKOTA—An unidentified elder is in critical condition as the result of going into cardiac arrest at the scene of a major confrontation between about 400 water protectors and heavily militarized law enforcement on Sunday evening.

The fierce confrontation occurred at the Backwater Bridge on Highway 1806.

Police used pepper spray, rubber bullets and a high-pressured water cannon during the confrontation. Four people have been treated for hypothermia after being doused the water cannon that was used for crowd control. The temperature on Sunday evening in Cannon Ball, North Dakota was 26 degrees F.

The confrontation began after one of the burned trucks left on the bridge on October 27 was moved by the water protectors who were tired of it blocking the highway.

Protesters are “done with the military-style barricades,” according to Dallas Goldtooth, Indigenous Environmental Network organizer.
He wrote on his Facebook page on Sunday night: “It was to open up the road so in the daylight the world can see the face of militarized law enforcement and state oppression.”

There are better ways to handle things in my opinion!

I'm sure there are arguments for both sides of this.  What is yours?

I read about that today.
I understand their reasoning and I'm sure with Trumps support of the pipe line they'll go around them.

What is More Concerning and the MSM would Never Mention This is the part of the Border Obama and his Thugs have Ordered Left Unmonitored.
Quote:An active smuggling route at the U.S. southern border with Mexico will be largely abandoned by the government at the end of this month, an agent with U.S. Border Patrol has informed WND.

‘Nothing would surprise me’

Jessica Vaughan, director of policy studies for the Washington-based Center for Immigration Studies, said she had not heard about the route being abandoned but “Nothing would surprise me in this administration.”

“That is concerning. I can’t think of any reason why you would stop trying to apprehend people on a known smuggling route, in an operational plan that’s been successful like that,” Vaughan told WND. “If there is intelligence on it then what would be the alternative to cover this?”

“Oct. 1 is the beginning of the new fiscal year so that’s significant,” Vaughan said. “I wonder if they are pulling resources to handle all the Central Americans who are coming in, because that’s been ramping up again, mostly through Texas.”

She said word will spread fast if the S2 Route is being largely ignored by the Border Patrol.

Thank you BIAD!   This is great!

I saw where the MSM is airing this now too.  See?  Together people can make a difference...  without violence from the protesters.

I hope more people will join our Native Americans and win this cause.  People need to keep sharing this so it doesn't "die" from the public eye.   tinybiggrin

Army Corps Sends Eviction Notice to Standing Rock
#6
On Friday, November 25, the Obama Administration issued an eviction notice to the Oceti Sakowin encampments at Standing Rock.

Quote:The eviction notice came in a letter from the US Army Corps of Engineers to the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, informing the tribe that on Dec. 5th, it will “close” all lands north of the Cannonball River, where the Oceti Sakowin encampment is located. It is no coincidence that the Army Corps of Engineers has chosen Dec 5th, General George Armstrong Custer's birthday, as the date it plans to evict people from the Oceti Sakowin Camp. Custer broke the treaty to dig for gold, the Army Corps is breaking the treaty over oil.

Here is what the eviction notice stated:

Quote:The Corps says its decision to clear the area is necessary to protect people from violent confrontations with law enforcement and to uphold the Corps’s land leases to private individuals for grazing and haying uses.  It has designated a ‘free speech zone’ south of the Cannonball River, and anyone outside that area will be considered trespassing and subject to forcible removal and prosecution. Anyone that chooses to remain at the encampment “does so at their own risk, and assumes any and all corresponding liabilities for their unlawful presence.”

And here is the protesters response:

Quote:The Army Corps has no authority to evict us from these lands.  The Oceti Sakowin encampment is located on the ancestral homeland of the Lakota, Mandan, Arikara, and Northern Cheyenne - on territory never ceded to the U.S. government, and affirmed in the 1851 Treaty of Ft. Laramie as sovereign land belonging to the Great Sioux Nation.  The encampment is, in many respects, a reclamation of this stolen territory and the right to self-determination guaranteed in the treaties.  Our water protectors are not trespassers and can never be trespassers.  The Army Corps also has no authority to diminish our right to free speech - where in the Constitution does it establish zones for the right to free speech? Do corporations now decide whether the Constitution applies? We are not moving, and we will not be silenced.

GOOD FOR THEM!   minusculethumbsup2

I hope this doesn't turn ugly, but it appears neither side is backing down, so I'm afraid it will.   tinycrying
