SILENCED? WikiLeaks says Assange’s Internet access mysteriously cut

WikiLeaks said Monday that its founder Julian Assange’s Internet link was severed by a “state party” and that “appropriate contingency plans” had been activated.

The website’s announcement came hours after it published three cryptic tweets. The messages referenced Ecuador, Secretary of State John Kerry and the United Kingdom’s Foreign Commonwealth Office. Each tweet was matched with a string of numbers.

Gizmodo noted that the 64-character codes sparked a whirlwind of rumors that the 45-year-old Assange had died. Rumors on Reddit and Twitter said the numbers triggered a so-called “dead man’s switch,” which could be enacted in case Assange did die. Gizmodo reported that such switches do exist.

WikiLeaks hasn’t tweeted anything else about Assange’s Internet access or how it may have been “severed.”

Various U.S. officials and pundits have made threatening statements directed at Assange in the past. WikiLeaks tweeted in early October an alleged 2010 quote from then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton asking if Assange could be killed in a drone strike, and, that same year, former Democrat strategist Bob Beckel said on Fox News Channel that "a dead man can't leak stuff."
This month, "specific information" prompted Assange to scrap a dramatic London balcony address to celebrate WikiLeaks' 10th anniversary.
Assange also has hinted that deceased DNC staffer Seth Rich may have been a secret source for WikiLeaks. Rich, 27, was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds to the back at a Washington, D.C., intersection in July. He died soon thereafter. Authorities believe Rich was the target of a botched robbery; however, odd circumstances surrounding his death have invited conspiracy theories.

The controversial anti-secrecy website has been busy in October, methodically releasing a trove of emails allegedly stolen from the gmail account of Clinton presidential campaign chair John Podesta. WikiLeaks had released just more than 12,000 emails of a purported 50,000 they have access to as of Monday morning. The Podesta emails have raised questions about a too-cozy working relationship between the Clinton campaign and some members of the media and has also shed light on how Clinton's team handled various scandals.

It wasn't immediately clear if the Podesta revelations were the "October surprise" Assange hinted his group would release in advance of the U.S. election.
Many experts believe WikiLeaks is not an independent organization, but in fact a front for the Russian government. Podesta suggested recently on "Fox News Sunday" that his emails had been hacked by the Russians, and officials also have determined a recent hacking of the Democrat Party's computer files was likely the work of Russian actors.

Vice President Joe Biden told NBC News on Friday that the U.S. would be "sending a message" to Russian President Vladimir Putin "at the time of our choosing, and under the circumstances that will have the greatest impact."

Assange has lived in the Ecuadorean Embassy in London for five years as officials in Sweden have sought him on criminal charges.
One of the last reported interactions with Assange came Saturday when former "Baywatch" star Pamela Anderson brought the WikiLeaks boss a vegan meal.

I suppose we will have to wait for further information on whether or not he is dead, but I'm surprised they allowed him to leak as much as he did before shutting his site down.

Yeah, saw this one on the news this morning and it didn't surprise me one bit.


Trump has said that the Media was rigging this election and he is totally right, they are. Trump's past is all over the news, making propagandized catchy headlines on and off the net, even here in Canada.


Pence has taken a step forward, earlier this week, stating this very obvious rig along with the fact that the Media was downplaying an 'avalanche' of incriminating emails, leaked from Wikileaks, depicting the Clintons as being 'public and private' two face personas, only aimed at their own interests.


With promises of more leaks incoming before the electorate, no real surprises that it was shut down.


I guess they can't blame Russian hackers for that one, eh?

Who are the parental units of ISIS? Who had fed, clothed, and nurtured them, supplied arms and sustenance to them? Who has sent troops to train them? Who gave Libya to the Muslim Brotherhood, al Qaeda, and ISIS? Who tried to do the same to Egypt before Sisi put the skids to it? That would be the Obama Administration in general, amd Big Mama Hillary in particular.

Now, stay with me on this - who is vigorously killing the ISIS love children of Hillary and Obama? Who is actually prosecuting a serious war against them? That would be Assad and the Russians, seemingly the only people left in the world actually fighting for our freedom, not just theirs but yours and mine. I'd have never believed it would turn out like this during the dark days of the Cold War.

Here we go - what is the best way to demonize an "enemy", working against one's ill-advised plans? That's right - accuse them of meddling in your affairs and attacking you. Play the victim card, which the DNC is so well practiced at. For God's sakes, those folks are professional victims, and this is just a public demonstration of their prowess at it!

Note the situation in Aleppo - the UN says "no more relief convoys - ISIS is attacking them and taking the stuff!" Obama says "Yes, more relief convoys, because ISIS is running low on shit to 'steal'!" So to protect the ISIS supply lines, he up and bombs the crap out of THE PEOPLE ACTUALLY KILLING ISIS... and then lays out the claim that "it's for the children" (an old standby of the leftists for pushing through evil plans) - and no one even thinks to ask just WHICH children it's "for"! All indications are that it's for the Obama-Clinton bastard love children, and no one notices because it's for some kind of children!

So then, to continue the journey, Hillary has publicly threatened to take war to the Russians (but Trump is the warmonger, keep in mind). Of course, she blames it on some e-mail hacks, but what, I ask, does the information presented actually hint at for a reason? You can't very well say that "the goddamned Russians are killin' off my ISIS BABIES!"

What's a girl to do? Well, she pays some poor sap to "leak" info readily available at hand to the DNC, and then blame it on "them damned Rooskies!" so that there is a plausible pretense to go to war with them if they don't quit killin' the chilluns!

Then ice the fall guy who did the leaks, because "dead men tell no tales", and proceed to make the case for war against the only folks saving our bacon at the moment.

Did you know that ISIS has come out to publicly support Hillary? Yes they have! Them boys may not be as dumb as they look - they know who puts the butter on their bread!

I agree with every word.  The more I learn about our TRUE history, and the shenanigans we are involved in now, the more I'm embarrassed to call myself an American.
I just watched a video this morning that will shock most people about our past; certainly NOT the history we were taught in school.

I agree with you. Even Trump has said - and during a debate where millions of viewers were 'listening' - that the only ones fighting ISIS were Russia, Syria and Iran.

I didn't know that they publicly came out supporting Hillary though. God damn media, only showing us what they want us to see. Again, not surprised.
