I always thought it would be somewhat interesting, that line of work. I'm sure it takes a special breed and someone above average that has an eclectic set of skills. But is there actually good money in it.
I figured I usually fit the bill, from a social standpoint and intellectual standpoint(I'm far from one to usually say nice things about myself).

Big $$$ in corporate tech spying if you have the right skills, speak a few different languages & social charisma. But, the career is often short lived. Similar to a drug dealer/distributor. For me I'd make one or two big scores and then disappear.
