Greetings to all!
I am thrilled to see such a positive review of our site on here, and extend my heart felt thanks.
To some questions about promoting RN3 on YubNub, the answer to that is a firm YES! My understanding is that in the near future there will be a "Rouge Nation Official" page on our site, and we are very happy to see that. We are also working on methods to display recommended sites to our members, and that should be ready not too far down the line. For now, I will have our ad team account create advertisement on our site that will run free of charge to RN3, and I will also include a mention with link in our rotating announcements that appear at the top of the news feed.
We are hoping to team up with sites such as yours and create a cooperative network of resources for people who still believe that the internet should be a place for "the free exchange of information and ideas", as it was intended to be. A "Counter-Cancel Revolution", if you will.
It's time that people make a stand for their freedoms, stand up against big-tech, the lamestream news, and the powers that be that would crush our individual rights and liberties. Above ALL, to stand against the socialist principles that are trying to be pushed on our Republic. As being first generation born in this country to a mother who was born in one of Stalin's forced labor camps, I can not sit back and just watch while what I know is happening, happens.
i decided to create YubNub Social when after 10 years on fakebook without a warning about ANYTHING, 2020 came, the elections came, and all of a sudden I was getting vacations and cyber-jail sentences... back to back... for speaking TRUTH! I was forced to "sit-out" the ENTIRE 2020 election campaigns, along with many other people who I know well. I literally was only "active" on fakebook for 4 months out of the 12 of 2020.
Something had to be done, and YubNub is ONE of the ways I am fighting back... the other ways... nothing illegal, but not today.
Well... it's a novel, but I think you all should know a few things about our little "project":
There are NO investors, and we won't entertain any. When push comes to shove, and the opposition comes against you, investors will want you to bend to the whims or they'll want to cash out, leaving you high and dry. It's happened to others already.
We're not gonna vanish next month! We have paid for everything that is required to run the site, and the services on the site, for 2 years in advance. This should be plenty of time to get us through the "growing pains", as well as the attacks from the lefties that we KNOW we will encounter.
We have chosen our service providers WISELY, research on the history of all of them on matters such as free speech and expression, and we have backup systems in place should we need to switch something with little or no notice, which is NOT likely to happen.
Advertising. Yes... we have advertising. We advertise with affiliate partners, and we only use ad networks that DO NOT track individuals data for targeted advertising. Why advertising? Better than selling user data, taking on investors, or running hokey "buy into the company" scams, isn't it??? Trust me, many that say they don't... DO.... not us!
To be honest, the costs of running a social network are ASTRONOMICAL in comparison to other types of sites just for cloud storage capacity alone. A 2TB, (or even 200TB) server, even with a commercial (not business, commercial) connection, sitting on the desk isn't gonna do it! We need some method of recouping this phenomenal cost that could put somebody through an ivy League College. Lack of sufficient storage capacity and computing power to support more than a few hundred members posting videos, streaming, and all that, is EXACTLY what has taken down many of the alternative sites that came before us. Employing advertising, and other revenue generating methods, is just an economic reality and necessity.
We are constantly building... developing... and have A LOT of features in store that you have not, and will not, see on the others... EVEN fakebook!
Anyway... I think that should cover most of the basic stuff that people would want to know, but we're always available to answer your questions, and help in any way.
