If this virus was on the level of something like Ebola, I could understand the reaction.  So far, the response hasn't equaled the virus

True, Ebola has a 90% death rate even if you are Perfectly Healthy when you contract it and COVID-19 has a 6% death rate because most people who die already have some sort of illness or a history of respiratory problem or they are elderly and not active.
