TRUMP CLIPS PELOSI’S WINGS: President Grounds Speaker’s Government Plane

Speaker Pelosi was scheduled to leave at 3:00PM when she received the President’s letter informing her that her overseas trip was cancelled

WASHINGTON — The standoff between President Donald Trump and Speaker Nancy Pelosi continues.
Just before Pelosi was to depart to the airport for her overseas trip, the President sent the Speaker a letter informing her that the trip has been postponed.

The move comes in response to Pelosi’s call to delay the State of the Union address.

Full text of the letter from President Trump:

“Dear Madame Speaker:
“Due to the shutdown, I am sorry to inform you that your trip Brussels, Egypt and Afghanistan has been postponed . We will reschedule this seven-day excursion when the Shutdown is over. In light of the 800,000 great American workers not receiving pay, I am sure you would agree that postponing this public relations event is totally appropriate. I also feel that, during this period, it would be better if you were in Washington negotiating with me and joining the Strong Border Security movement to end the Shutdown. Obviously, if you would like to make your journey by flying commercial that would certainly be you prerogative.
I look forward to seeing you son and even more forward to watching out open and dangerous Southern Border finally receive the attention, funding, and security it so desperately deserves! “

Today, Potus told Nancy she could no longer have free access to taxpayer funds for her elaborate excursions, especially while the rest of the government was going unpaid. Life is hard in the Trump era without her personal ATM card from the treasury.
