I think a bear would have ripped him to pieces and had him for lunch, but a Bigfoot would recognize him as a child
and offer protection, especially if it were a female...

If it was a Bigfoot and they're as astute as some say, it may have decided that it would be better all-round if
the kid is found okay, everyone goes home and the area can be theirs again.
