I wasn’t really sure where to post this, so here I go. I was reading another recent thread, in which @"Ninurta" mentioned someone looked like his twin. That got me thinking (rut roh!), and I’m curious about this phenomenon. I, as many, have heard that everyone in the world has a doppelgänger. I believe this, as I have heard about mine, and my hubby supposedly has one in the local area I live at.
This was probably 25-30 years ago, but my grandparents used to watch a show about 911 dispatchers. Apparently one of the dispatchers they showed looked like my twin. Now this was a long time ago. I was intrigued hearing this. Not only did I have a doppelgänger, but she was occasionally on TV! When my hubby still worked at WalMart, there may have been a guy who was a dead ringer for him. Now this guy frequently shopped at the WalMart my hubby worked at, but they never encountered one another. My hubby would hear anecdotes about this guy though. Apparently the guy was unmarried and may have had 3-4 girlfriends he was juggling at any given time. In fact some of the guy’s girlfriends also shopped at the store and would do a double take when they went through my hubby’s line. It was an endlessly amusing thing to talk about.
Do any of you have a doppelgänger? Have you ever encountered them? Have any of you befriended your doppelgänger? I’m really curious to hear your stories.
