That makes it far more insidious, harder to circumvent, and impossible to remove in comparison with a mere chip under the hide. An ID you will need to open bank accounts, purchase medicines from the pharmacy, interact with your government, and a great many other things.
In short, a "mark" you will need to have in order to buy, or sell, or exist within society.
