Rather than give them any warning, he just crept outside with his rifle and unexpectedly sent two rounds their way, and that
was enough to convince them to vacate.
And the environmental-friendly-part of this deterrent is that the act didn't require hard-wiring or batteries.
You guys out in the boonies are way ahead of the city-folk when it comes to saving the planet.
