Who Is Right and Who Is Wrong?

Maybe two or three, maybe none.

There's just as many Repubs and Dems beholden to special interests, be they China, Drug Companies or the Marxists/Socialists/Woke-ists.
Because I sure don't see the support I feel should be out there for the border, the 1/6 prisoners, the USA citizens, the Constitution or the Bill of Rights
Be interesting to see how the Marjorie Taylor-Green situation finally resolves.....and who will be next.

I think The Resetters will string China along and let them think it's in the bag in order to gain their support. I also think China knows that, and will try to use that situation to their advantage to buy time for maneuvering and gaining strength. The only "superpower" the Resetters are interested in is their own power to be supreme over all. I don't see how a power hungry megalomaniac like Xi could possible not see that, and plan accordingly.

And yes, you are correct that the politicians on both sides in the US are more interested in jockeying for position than they are in addressing any problems impacting American citizens. They only think of us at vote time, and the time may come when that is too late, and we remember that NONE of them did a damned thing to help us.

Thanks for putting on to the Taylor-Greene story. I was unaware that was going on. Yup, it'll be interesting to see how it turns out. Odd how all the "news reporters" insist on calling the Jan 6 riots an "insurrection". So far as I know, no court has determined that any insurrection ever happened - other than the court of media opinion, that is. I may be wrong about that, but if any court has made that determination, then that was the weakest, sorriest excuse for an insurrection I've ever heard of. Most insurrections involve weapons, explosions and other loud noises, and an attempt to overthrow a government. I damn near got my hair parted in an insurrection in Nicaragua a long time ago, but I don't think the intervening time has caused me to forget what an insurrection looks like.

Protesting what one believes to have been a stolen election is not the same thing as trying to overthrow a government. It takes a lot more people, and armaments, to overthrow a government. It looked to me like they were not trying to overthrow the government, but that they were attempting to prevent what they believed was an overthrow of the government via a questionable election. That seems not to meet the definition of "insurrection" on the part of the folks cooling their heels in solitary at the moment, being held incommunicado and without bail.

Americans used to have a name for that sort of treatment when it occurred to folks in other countries, for example, Russian gulags... the people it was done to "over there" were called "political prisoners", and the practice was frowned upon by Americans in those days.

It is an ultimate irony that a group calling itself "Free Speech for the People" is trying to prevent the free speech via the ballot of the People in Taylor-Greene's district, and perhaps even more ironic that they are trying to make dubious use of a law put in place by Radical Republicans in an effort to prevent the election of Conservative Democrats in the South.

It just goes to show that you need to be very careful of the laws you clamor for the passing of - one day, those same laws you begged for may be turned and used against YOU... or your great great grandchildren.

Diogenes was eating bread and lentils for supper. He was seen by the philosopher Aristippus, who lived comfortably by flattering the king.

Said Aristippus, ‘If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.’ Said Diogenes, ‘Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.’
