Of course there were giants. Mere humans didn't lay those huge foundation slabs at places like Baalbek.
I've always wondered about the ancient tales of giants, ogres, trolls, dwarves, elves, gnomes and other fae folk. I think they are dim racial memories of other hominids we once shared the planet with.
