I was thinking the same thing.
I wonder if her husband paid off the school to turn her in so he could get custody? Maybe she had done this every morning, so they knew her routine.
If hubby isn't behind this, then it has to be the Nazi controllers using her to make an example for the rest of the state.
Third option is, this is a hoax to get people to donate money to her.
