Jesus Christ's tomb opened
#7
As the article concludes:

Quote:“That is a matter of faith. It always has been and it probably always will be.”

And there it is. If you don't want to believe in a god, then don't. if you do, then do. It makes no difference to any one besides yourself. If you demand "proof", it's probably best to look in another direction, and forego the search for a deity, because deities are pretty notorious for being obstinately against jumping through hoops to "prove" themselves and amuse their creations. I'm pretty sure that in most of their rule books, they tell YOU how it goes, not the other way 'round.

So faith in a god is between the faith-holder and that god in the end. Or not-god, as the case may be. Absence of faith is no less "faith" than presence of it, because neither direction is provable. It's all a matter of faith, which is "knowing" what cannot be proven.

One "knows" there is a god? good. There's his faith. Another "knows" just as well that there is NO god? good. there's HIS faith.

To each his own, and let the dust settle where it will.
Diogenes was eating bread and lentils for supper. He was seen by the philosopher Aristippus, who lived comfortably by flattering the king.

Said Aristippus, ‘If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.’ Said Diogenes, ‘Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.’
